Chapter 6: Concert
Night Lan went to the Night Watcher Base to clock in.
Mainly because she had friends waiting for her there.
Like Zero Meow and White Fish, although it seemed to only be them.
Today, once again, she was supposed to be close with her lovely friends—oh wait, I meant studying.
As for Night Star, she was home cozying up and goofing off with Lianhua.
Two bodies? Way better than any time management guru could dream of!
Having a dual existence is truly the best wish!
After a while, Night Lan arrived at the Night Watcher Base.
On the way, she bumped into White Fish’s sister—White Paint.
“Good afternoon, White Paint-senpai!”
Night Lan greeted her cheerfully.
“Good afternoon, Night Lan! Going to play with White Fish again today?” White Paint ruffled Night Lan’s little head, showing a beautifully warm smile.
Even the Ice Queen looks delightful when she smiles!
“Umm… Is White Paint-senpai off on another mission?”
“Nope! Cai Xun and the others snagged tickets to a concert and plan to invite me along.”
“A concert, huh? Sounds exciting!”
Night Lan pondered.
From her memory, concerts are bustling events, seemingly only spacious enough for super-popular singers to hold large gatherings.
Though Night Lan listens to music occasionally, she’d never actually been to a concert.
Social anxiety, you see.
Crowded places? No way she’d muster the courage to go, especially alone!
“Is it at the central stage of the city?”
“Yep, they say only super popular songstresses can perform on that stage. Cai Xun and Bu Jie are really hyped; it’s someone they like.”
“Oh, I see~”
Speaking of central city stages, Night Star had been to the one in Shanghe City.
Truth be told, she felt super nervous back then and barely noticed the details. But in hindsight, she could remember how massive the space was; it could hold a ton of people!
Lianhua had dreamt of performing on that stage too.
What’s the central stage in Yun Chang City like, she wondered?
Suddenly, she became quite curious.
Maybe she’d check it out someday!
“Night Lan, do you want to go? I can pass my ticket to you!” White Paint’s voice interrupted Night Lan’s thoughts.
“Eh?” Night Lan snapped back to reality and hurriedly shook her head. “No thanks! I’ll definitely go with friends another time. White Paint-senpai, you should go and relax!”
“Alright, if you change your mind, just let me know.”
“Mm…”
With that, White Paint departed.
Night Lan watched her leave and fell into contemplation.
White Paint is such a perfect beautiful girl—cool outside, warm inside, definitely gentle.
Is it too much to say that she’s definitely White Fish’s sister? Love it!
But Night Lan was a staunch Loli fan; she wouldn’t be swayed by beautiful girls.
Although, if a beautiful girl insisted on cuddling, Night Lan probably wouldn’t refuse.
After all, girls’ bodies are all soft and fragrant—Night Lan kind of likes that sensation.
“Hmm~ Better head over to White Fish’s side.”
On her way, Night Lan encountered a leisurely strolling guy, looking like that dude Wang Chao who taught her “Ah yes, right, right, right!”
He’d shown up during the Supernova incident caused by Lianhua.
Wang Chao noticed Night Lan too.
“Oh hey there, little buddy! Good morning!”
“It’s not morning, senpai; it’s noon!”
“Oh~ Who cares? I just wanted to say, if you plan on using Stars in the future, can you give me a heads-up? Out of nowhere in my mind, it’s really scary when unfamiliar memories pop in. I thought I was contaminated by Star Eclipses!”
Night Lan scratched her head awkwardly.
“Um, sorry for the trouble.”
“No biggie! I actually find it amusing. It’s funny how everything that happened could be resolved like this.”
Wang Chao rubbed his chin, reminiscing.
“Back in the day, when I was in that Star Eclipse incident, I survived in that terrifying city for a whole month! That guy Mo Tu didn’t do much at first. The entire Night Watcher force almost got wiped out! In the end, I had to sacrifice all my teammates just to finish the job and only managed to cut down the most crucial puppet.”
Upon hearing that, Night Lan’s eyes took on a strange look as she stared at the rambling Wang Chao in disbelief.
Wait, you mean Lianhua’s puppet was the one you cut down?
I’ll have to tell Lianhua so she can turn you into a puppet… Just kidding!
Night Lan wasn’t that irrational.
After all, the Night Watchers were just trying to keep order, and Wang Chao not cutting down Lianhua was a blessing as far as she was concerned.
The little puppet, Little Lian, was destroyed by Wang Chao but was later restored by Night Lan; this should account for some cosmic balance or karma.
“By the way, what happened to that little girl who triggered the Star Eclipse?” Wang Chao asked.
“I don’t know.”

Night Lan wouldn’t let anyone know Lianhua’s situation, especially not the Night Watchers.
Wang Chao didn’t press further.
He wasn’t the type to pry into things relentlessly; as long as the outcome was good, he was fine with it.
“Alright, I’m off! If anyone in the Night Watchers picks on you, just say my name. I’m pretty strong at fighting!”
“Uh-huh~”
Wang Chao turned and left, his demeanor not feeling like that of a top Sunlight Night Watcher at all.
But his personality was nice; talking to him was fairly easy.
Night Lan, for once, didn’t feel the slightest bit awkward.
Before long, Night Lan arrived at Zero Meow’s room and stepped inside.
“Zero Meow, White Fish, good afternoon!”
The two little Lolis in the room instantly turned their heads, eyes lighting up with excitement.
“Wow~ Night Lan, you finally made it! Did you oversleep?”
“Good afternoon, Night Lan!”
Night Lan sat down beside the two, her smile was somewhat shy.
“Um, yeah… I was a bit tired and ended up sleeping in.”
Zero Meow tilted her head, a spark of mischief suddenly lighting up her eyes as if she’d just hit upon an idea.
“Why are you tired? Did you go do something scandalous last night? Come on, let me check your body; I want to look!”
“No, please, Zero Meow!”
Night Lan gently pushed away the little Loli’s eager face, unable to withstand her enthusiasm.
Thankfully, she had the little White Fish at her side.
White Fish pulled Night Lan closer, giving Zero Meow a exasperated look, admonishing, “Zero Meow, don’t just bully Night Lan!”
“Mm, fine~”
Zero Meow let out a gentle sigh, a bit disappointed.
Still haven’t found White Fish’s weakness yet.
Patience!
Night Lan felt deeply moved.
Indeed, White Fish is the most lovable Loli!
This made Night Lan think of Lianhua, who performed puppet shows at home, she had a very obedient temperament too.
The two of them… should get along, right?
I wonder if White Fish likes puppet shows.
If she does, maybe Night Lan could introduce her to Lianhua, she could gain another audience member!
Hmm, what a great idea!
Just then, Zero Meow’s voice interrupted Night Lan’s thoughts.
“Hey, Night Lan, White Fish, are you two interested in concerts?”
Concert?
Night Lan snapped back, recalling her conversation with White Paint earlier.
They must be talking about the same thing, right?
