Chapter 107

Chapter 11 ~ Help!~

Evening.

Night Lan returned home from the Night Watcher Base.

Night Star also came back alone from the Rising Sun Theater Group.

Under the deliberate manipulation of the same soul, two figures met on the same road, hand in hand they walked back to their Fish Playing House.

On the way back, the two were summing up what they had done today, essentially doing a verbal diary.

“Hmm… Today, White Fish and Zero Meow and I watched hours of concerts. Clear Mio Songstress really lives up to her fame as a world-renowned songstress, not only is she a beautiful maiden, but her voice is also incredible. Feeling like we just lost out on something big and already obsessed.”

Of course, here she meant the voice.

Night Lan could already fall for something very easily, and music that could touch the soul so deeply was especially easy for her.

A Songstress…

It seems like such a dazzling title.

Someone who likes music usually feels like singing too.

Sometimes, Night Lan wants to let out a beautiful voice, like when taking a bath in the bathroom—she’s basically a bathtube song champion.

She’s unsure if it sounds good, but at least from Night Star’s perspective, it’s not bad. It doesn’t sound terrible?

Anyway, she’s very uncertain about it.

Night Lan certainly wouldn’t sing in front of others, only daring to hum when she’s alone.

Why? Fear of embarrassment.

Come on, singing in front of strangers is really embarrassing, okay?

In other words, Night Lan is definitely not suitable to be a Songstress.

Not because of her voice, but because of her character.

How could a shy Songstress perform well on stage?

These are side notes.

Now it’s Night Star’s turn to summarize.

“Um… Today, I watched Lotus Flower perform puppet shows at home, then went with her to the Rising Sun Theater Group, where we witnessed the singer awakening. To be honest, the singer has a great voice, comparable to Clear Mio Songstress—one would definitely support her if she became a Songstress.”

Night Lan followed along, “Indeed, if this were a human story, it would make for a perfect finale. Unfortunately, nothing can change that.”

But there didn’t seem to be any rule against Star Eclipses becoming a Songstress.

Night Star nodded in thought, suddenly wanting to drag the Singer into becoming a Songstress.

But not now.

Their relationship was merely collegial at best; it would be even harder to communicate since the Singer appears to have some mental issues.

“Um… Let’s become friends slowly.”

Night Star mumbled, continuing her summary.

“After the Singer finished singing, Lotus Flower performed puppet shows for another afternoon, and the magic of the stage made everything incredibly realistic, which was amazing—no one does it better than Lotus Flower.”

If Lotus Flower heard Night Star praise her like that, she’d surely be delighted, right?

Because Night Star’s compliments were always fresh, no matter how many times she gave them.

Following that, Night Lan continued summarizing the rest.

“After the show, I awkwardly tackled White Fish, feeling quite guilty about it.”

Who could blame her? In her subconscious, she still viewed herself as an adult.

“Zero Meow seemed to draw something weird but refused to show me, saying it’s not complete yet. That felt awful.”

Recalling, Night Lan remembered that Zero Meow said she wanted to draw a doujin of her and White Fish.

Oh geez, this sounded worse!

Curses, how enviable those who can sketch! They get to freely draw whatever suits their preferences.

No way, once Zero Meow finishes, Night Lan is going to demand a copy. She absolutely needs to critique it thoroughly!

Thinking this, Night Lan found herself oddly excited.

Not that she’s eagerly looking forward to seeing herself and White Fish in a sticky situation.

Wouldn’t that be twisted?

“This day passed by.”

“Living like this is pretty nice.”

“There’s no danger, and we don’t have to do anything complicated.”

“Either stay home to fish or hug a loli.”

“Awesome~”

The pair’s monologue ended here.

Almost home, wishing they could immediately collapse onto the bed to enjoy the soft, comforting feel.

Though, it wasn’t quite as satisfying as after work.

Feeling relaxed only after working hard all day and finally unwinding—currently, neither Night Lan nor Night Star were busy. They had all their work done.

Becoming cute little lolis was fantastic.

Night Lan and Night Star slightly lifted their heads, observing the neon lights around them.

Walking down a deserted path, yet only feeling the presence of one person.

The future was unknown, and who knew what the stars on their bodies would bring.

The dual background of the Night Watcher Base and the Rising Sun Theater Group felt outlandish.

Daily life was constantly tense and exciting.

Regardless, maintaining a calm demeanor was key.

Her star is the strongest!

“Hehe~”

Night Lan and Night Star smiled joyfully, quickening their pace, with very cheerful steps.

Unbeknownst to them, a mysterious figure was watching the backs of the little lolis, nearly unable to contain its excitement, almost rushing over.

But the mysterious shadow restrained itself, following them stealthily, planning something mysterious.

“Hehe~”

“Huh?”

Night Star and Night Lan turned around, puzzled. They thought they just heard an odd sound, maybe laughter?

“Uh… let’s hurry back.”

Thinking this, the two little lolis couldn’t help but speed up, already thinking about using “Divine Speed B” to get there faster.

However, a clear voice nearby made both of them freeze, their bodies tightening instantly.

“Help! Someone save me!”

Hearing this eerie voice, Night Lan and Night Star tensed up, nervously looking around and beginning to fear.

This sounded like a girl’s voice, somewhat familiar, yet unrecognizable in the short term.

“…Who is it?”

That voice didn’t respond to Night Star but kept repeating the same two words.

“Help! Help!”

Both pondered this situation for a moment.

Now, a decision had to be made.

Following movie clichés, naturally they’d investigate.

But, would a one-soul double-bodied little loli be so gutsy, meddling in others’ affairs recklessly?

They should run!

Saving themselves mattered most.

“Let’s go, let’s go.”

“We’ll call the cops later.”

Saying this, Night Star and Night Lan turned around and left, resolutely.

The shadow hiding in the dark stiffened slightly, the hopeful expression cooling rapidly, the cheeks puffing up in frustration.

“Hey, you can’t leave!”

The frustrated shout made Night Star and Night Lan pause.

Without turning around, both sprinted away at record speed.

“Ah! Wait for me, Night Star!”

At the same moment, the window of a nearby house opened, revealing a black-haired man stretching out to breathe fresh air and catching sight of a hilarious scene:

He saw a long-eared ghost girl chasing after the two little lolis, which looked quite amusing.

“Amusing.”
