### Chapter 8: Waving the Tiger Skin as a Banner
“d*mn it, that Little Drill Wind really has a thing going on with the Second Great King!”
“What’s with him shouting slogans in the city while I have to run my legs off?”
“My voice is way louder than his! Isn’t that right, brothers?”
“Yes, yes, yes! You’re absolutely right, Captain!”
The little demons were more than familiar with the love-hate relationship between Old Drill Wind and Little Drill Wind; complaining was just part of Old Drill Wind’s daily routine, and nodding in agreement was expected.
After all, when Cool Moon assigned the tasks, Old Drill Wind was the one jumping at the chance to venture out of the city.
It was only because he had been out a bit too long that he couldn’t help but throw the blame back on Little Drill Wind.
At present, the twenty men led by Old Drill Wind had been on their way to Cold Wind Cave for almost half a day.
“Captain, we’re almost at Spirit Tooth Cave!”
Old Drill Wind immediately perked up, “Boys, let’s go show them who’s boss!”

Inside Spirit Tooth Cave.
“My King, My King! Bad news!”
“What’s got you all flustered?”
“A bunch of monsters are at the door, saying that you need to submit to them, or it’s d*ath to all!”
“Hah! Who dares to speak such nonsense in front of my Spirit Tooth Cave? Grab my weapons, boys! Let’s make sure they regret ever coming here!”
A moment later, the armoured Hedgehog Monster charged out, dragging a Green Dragon Blade, followed closely by nearly three hundred little demons.
Spirit Tooth Cave was significantly larger than the original Cold Wind Cave and was also under the Evil Merman’s control.
When the Hedgehog Monster raised his Green Dragon Blade and saw only twenty or so opponents, he couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
“My Spirit Tooth Cave could use some toilet cleaner; you’ve come at just the right time!”
Old Drill Wind, however, took this lightly, his confidence radiating.
“Listen up, Spirit Tooth Cave Master! I’m Old Drill Wind, a general under the Cold Wind Cave Master. Our Great King has sent me to recruit you. If you comply, we can sort this out peacefully. If not, don’t blame Cold Wind Cave for being unfriendly!”
As soon as Old Drill Wind finished, the monsters in Spirit Tooth Cave erupted in laughter.
A little cave with under a hundred monsters dared to talk big like this?
The Hedgehog Monster finally stopped laughing and patted his belly, saying, “You’re quite the character. Over these years, no one has dared to joke in front of me like this.”
Old Drill Wind sighed, “Do you think the Cold Wind Cave Master is still that Old Demon of Cold Wind?”
The Hedgehog Monster blinked, “What do you mean?”
“The Tiger Wolf Cave was subdued by our cave master days ago, and now the Tiger Demon and Wolf Demon are behaving themselves and don’t dare try anything funny. If you don’t believe me, you’ll find out when you visit Cold Wind Cave.”
“Get lost!”
The Hedgehog Monster was completely out of patience and swung the Green Dragon Blade straight at Old Drill Wind.
In his view, Old Drill Wind was just a bit stronger than a little demon, nowhere near strong enough to withstand a Great Demon-level attack.
But just then, a wild wind whipped up out of nowhere above.
The force of the gale was so strong and quick that the Hedgehog Monster almost lost his grip on his Green Dragon Blade mid-swing.
Old Drill Wind dodged effortlessly to the side, avoiding the wildly off-target strike.
Before the little demons in Spirit Tooth Cave could react, a gigantic shadow suddenly appeared above.
It was a monster beast—a demon beast!
The raging wind was its nearly ten-meter wingspan flapping and sending gusts of air everywhere.
Everyone was left dumbfounded.
The Hedgehog Monster stumbled back a few steps, disbelief written all over his face.
The colossal demon beast was covered in dark brown feathers, with a sharp, long beak and powerful wings and claws that could easily bring d*ath or injury upon contact.
Even he couldn’t hold a candle to its power.
At that moment, he felt a tremendous sense of pressure.
Thankfully, the beast didn’t immediately attack the little demons in Spirit Tooth Cave; otherwise, the area would’ve turned into a graveyard in an instant.
The Dark Feather Crane let out a commanding cry, then circled above before finally landing on a nearby small hill not far from Spirit Tooth Cave.
The Hedgehog Monster promptly thought better of making any rash moves.
This area was right on the edge of the Chaos Forest; how could such a rare beast show up here?
With hands on his hips, Old Drill Wind swaggered up to the Hedgehog Monster, pointing at the Dark Feather Crane.
“What? You think this is a coincidence? Ha! That demon beast is actually the mount of our Great King!”
“What? No way!”
The Lord of White Feather City was the top Great Demon in the area, and he only had one demon beast mount.
How could a mere Cold Wind Cave Master also have a demon beast? What did that imply?
Could it be… the new cave master was a powerhouse equivalent to the Lord of White Feather City?
Cold sweat poured down the Hedgehog Monster’s back.
“May I ask the name of your Great King?”
Old Drill Wind puffed out his chest, “The Cold Moon Witch!”

Old Drill Wind smirked, “Right now, our Great King is expanding her territory. If you submit early, you might still earn some merits. If you resist, haha, don’t blame us for going all out; we won’t leave a single one alive!”
