### Chapter 2: The Wine-Loving Female Driver
==============================
On the Falling Sunset Peak.
After going through his palace intrigue techniques for the umpteenth time, Fatty felt as confident as a rooster in a henhouse.
That second persona was just a fawning bootlicker.
Master Sister, now there’s a legend—she’s the greatest genius Heavenly Sword Sect has seen in a century!
How could she not see through the sleazy facade of the second persona?
Thus…
The second persona shamelessly buttered up Luo Ying!
Fatty thought to himself, why not one-up him? He could be even more shameless! Go big or go home!
“Master Sister, are you feeling hot? Let me fan you!”
“Master Sister, you must be thirsty! I’ve brewed some tea for you—just for you!”
“Master Sister, when I was all alone in that prison, you appeared like a celestial being, and I was moved to tears.
In this world, besides my mom, you’re the only one who’s ever treated me this well! Truly!”
“Ugh…”
Linglong, listening from the side, nearly lost it.
Luo Ying, however, seemed unfazed, treating Fatty’s flattery like a side dish to her wine. After sipping a few more drinks, her cheeks flushed even more.
Beneath the warm sunlight,
Luo Ying’s profile sparkled like it was dusted with gold, utterly irresistible.
Fatty couldn’t help but gulp.
“Let’s get moving!”
Suddenly, Luo Ying sprang up, waving her wine jug.
“Sure thing!”
Fatty cheered enthusiastically.
Heh, as expected, this heartfelt display of flair had instantly knocked the male lead to the sidelines.
That guy had yet to show up, and Fatty figured he must have completely bowed to him, deciding never to compete again.
……
Naturally, disciples of Heavenly Sword Sect traveled by flying sword.
Luo Ying’s personal flying sword could magically change size within a certain range. So even with two extra passengers, they were still within her acceptable limits.
Fatty stood behind Master Sister, eagerly backpacked up.
How could he let such a golden opportunity slip to the male lead? No way!
Suddenly, the male lead, who had been MIA for nearly half a day, resurfaced.
But his appearance made Fatty jump in shock.
The male lead had wrapped himself up in a towel, leaving only his eyes showing. He even wore knee and elbow pads made from tough vines.
“What’s with the getup? Off to explore the desert or something?”
Having spent half a day with the Master Sister, Fatty felt entitled and couldn’t resist throwing shade.
He laughed at the male lead for going overboard with safety precautions. When do you ever see a cultivator fall off their sword? Total overkill, right?
The male lead just smiled mysteriously and offered no reply.
Now that both of them were gathered, Luo Ying warned, “Hold on tight.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Fatty and the male lead felt as if they were yanked back, and then the flying sword launched them into the air, zooming toward the exit of the Small Thousand World.
Once airborne, Fatty quickly found out what it felt like to be a skydiver.
But the two of them were having a much worse time than any skydiver could imagine.
At least skydivers have parachutes to save their lives! What did they have?
Apart from the weak magnetism between their feet and the sword’s surface, there was nothing but air!
Both their feet dangled on a sword that was barely a foot wide while the ground slowly receded into an abyss below.
Fatty turned as pale as a ghost.
Adding to the fun, Luo Ying was speeding ahead without a hint of slowing down.
The gusting winds whipped around him, pushing him back like a dramatic movie scene.
He thought standing behind Luo Ying would give him a chance to experience that romantic motorcycle ride vibe, wrapped around her waist like a cool breeze.
But the reality was:
Master Sister was gliding like a pro skateboarder, twisting and turning in a way that left Fatty bewildered.
He was just trying to stay on his feet! One minor mistake, and he’d become a pancake.
Just when he thought it couldn’t get tougher, Luo Ying began her aerial acrobatics.
Up, down, left, right—speeding up, slowing down.
“Wow…”
Fatty instantly became nauseous.
And it didn’t stop there!
He noticed Master Sister was hurtling toward a cliff without even a hint of slowing.
“Master Sister, stop, stop, stop…”
Fatty’s throat was about to burst from yelling.
Just as they were about to collide, the flying sword suddenly curved upwards at a breakneck speed.
While Luo Ying stayed steady, the male lead and Fatty found themselves hurled downwards.
They plummeted like a pair of balls for nearly a hundred meters before crashing into a large rock and finally stopping.
Why are my eyes always swimming with tears? Because my love for this land runs deep…
With his forehead smacking the ground, Fatty burst into tears.
Even with his thick skin and layers of fat, he couldn’t withstand this kind of torment!
Now he understood why the male lead prepared so much!
You just can’t mess with a wine-guzzling female driver!
Why didn’t he think of that sooner?
Meanwhile, the male lead sprang to his feet like it was nothing, seemingly unaffected aside from a few scrapes here and there.
Fatty, on the other hand, lay on the ground like a deflated balloon.
Luo Ying made a graceful descent and floated down beside them.
“Fatty, can you move?”
Hearing the concern from Master Sister, Fatty felt all sorts of elation and struggled to rise, wanting to assure her he was fine.
But… his body was having none of that.
He squirmed like a worm for ages but ultimately had to abandon the idea of standing up.
“Looks like you’re down for the count,” Luo Ying remarked, shaking her head. “At Falling Sunset Peak, you need both brawn and brains.”
The male lead promptly stepped up and gave her a thumbs up. “Master Sister, you’re a genius! We cannot let certain individuals lower our standards!”
Fatty nearly spit out a mouthful of bl**d at the sight of the male lead’s smug face.
This sneaky little devil!
Ah, how could he forget their brotherhood? Was he planning to ditch him and escape with Master Sister?
This infuriated him!
No way was he letting them alone together!
In a flash, Fatty sprang to his feet, shaking off all the fat like it was nothing and miraculously feeling fine.
This spontaneous display left the male lead dumbfounded.
“What the… Fatty, have you unlocked a new skill or something?”
Fatty completely ignored him and turned directly to Luo Ying.
“Master Sister, as they say, better to listen to both sides than stick with one! Though I may not be as talented as Lin Nan’s second persona, I promise to be by your side and support you wholeheartedly!”
Luo Ying smiled slightly.
“Alright, since you can move, let’s go together.”
Fatty’s heart soared with joy as he immediately hopped onto the flying sword suspended in mid-air.
The male lead shook his head.
The road to Flowerless Palace was long and filled with dangers.
He was privy to a lot of insider info thanks to his connections with the female lead. He didn’t want Fatty to just throw himself into the fire for no reason.
So he had convinced Master Sister to use this method to deter Fatty.
But who knew Fatty’s willpower would be so unshakeable…
Well, it seemed they’d have to take it one step at a time now.
