# Chapter 1: The Arrival of Ji Shen
It seems those female prisoners weren’t new to this kind of situation; they stood timidly in small groups at various corners of the valley.
Although their eyes glistened with desire at the sight of the exquisite food, none dared to make a move without permission.
Occasionally, they would cast sympathetic glances at Little Musashi and Cold Little Rain. Once caught, the looks exchanged hinted at their silent understanding.
Strong Brother, seizing the opportunity while serving food, stealthily gestured toward the two girls from afar. Although he couldn’t help much at the moment, at least they knew he was there for them.
At a crucial time, even if it cost him his life, he vowed to ensure that Little Musashi and Cold Little Rain faced no humiliation.
After all, there were so many scantily clad women in the area; he just couldn’t fathom what these dog-headed men were actually planning with them.
Perhaps a little act of kindness, allowing them to have a decent meal? The odds of that being the case were slim to none.
Just as the women started to feel anxious, footsteps echoed from the passage leading into the valley.
They’re here, they’re here…
Cold Little Rain bit her lip, her hands clenching into fists.
Little Musashi was nervous too, but her anxiety was largely due to the ticking clock; she only had three hours left before her time ran out.
The first of the visitors stepped into the valley, and all the women collectively gasped.
A muscular man draped in leopard print and bare from the waist up slowly straightened his hunched back, having to duck slightly due to the low passageway.
Once upright, he towered over two meters tall.
To the women, standing beneath him, he looked like a giant.
Hot on the heels of this leopard-print brute were several remarkably fierce-looking demons of various shapes and sizes: lion demons, bear monsters, jackals, vultures—you name it, they were a menagerie of meat-eating terrors.
Though they appeared mostly humanoid, each one still bore unmistakable features of their animal origins, making it obvious what they were at a glance.
The leading giant, however, was the most human-like of the bunch, save for some sporadic leopard print on his frame. Functionally, he looked like a normal man—just, you know, much larger.
Upon seeing them, the women’s faces blanched as they recalled painful memories, huddling together in quivering terror.
The calmest in the field, surprisingly, were Little Musashi and Cold Little Rain.
Observing this bizarre scene, even the dullest of netizens wouldn’t miss the implications of what was about to unfold.
“Whoa, hold up! Is this small cave a den specially for the big demons to hang out in?”
“This… this is too much. Inter-species dating? Are those women even able to cope with this?”
“Ha! Didn’t you notice they’re all forced into this? Locked up in prison until they’re needed, then dragged out. It’s utterly inhumane!”
“Who would’ve thought that beneath the seemingly peaceful surface of the Asking Dao world lurked such filthy dealings?”
“If not for Little Musashi and Cold Little Rain sacrificing themselves to get caught, we wouldn’t have learned about this abominable injustice.”
“Oh no, how will they escape? What if those big demons…”
Dude, I really can’t even think about that!
“Aah! I just wanted to escape reality by entering a game, but this game world is as disgusting as real life! Who the heck designed this mess?”
But no matter how much the netizens protested or raged, in this small cave—set apart from the Asking Dao continent—Little Musashi and the others found their fates far beyond their control.
The demons streamed out of the passage but didn’t rush toward the women as Little Musashi had feared. Instead, they lined up neatly in rows, seemingly waiting for a higher-ranking demon to arrive.
Seeing this, both Little Musashi and the viewers gasped.
They didn’t have to wait long.
Soon, a bull-headed man of medium build—his head nearly touching the vaulted ceiling of the passage—entered alongside a young man dressed in white.
The atmosphere grew even more oppressive.
It was evident that since this bull-headed man showed up, the previously fierce demons had lowered their heads, not daring to make a sound.
This suggested that this seemingly unimposing bull actually held extraordinary power.
Sharp-eyed netizens began shouting.
“Hey, hey, isn’t that…”
“How do you know this bull-headed guy?”
“Upgrade Maniac, come take your beating! If I’m right, he should be the bull-headed lord of White Feather City!”
“That guy next to the bull looks familiar. I’ve definitely seen him somewhere.”
“Right! I remember now, during the final exam of the Master Sister at Heavenly Sword Sect, there was a human projection that looked just like him! Is it the same dude?”
The live chat exploded with chatter.
Tang Tong was also watching the stream, and upon seeing the bull-headed man appear, he was filled with dread, hardly believing his own eyes.
He was certain this bull-headed guy was the Great King of the Split Land.
He still had the video of their meeting in White Feather City up on the forum. There was no way he could be mistaken.
If Ji Shen was in control here, did White Feather City have hidden ties with them? What kind of conspiracy were they hatching?
The Great King of the Split Land couldn’t just be here for some interspecies rendezvous; with his power and status, he could have any woman he wanted without needing to come here.
And that young man next to him? If Tang Tong remembered correctly, he had indeed appeared as a projection in the training hall of Heavenly Sword Sect.
Who was he?
Players only knew he’d shown up in their vision before but had no knowledge of his name.
Probably only Little Musashi knew his background.
Fu Yetian!
The once highly esteemed chief of the Inner Sect of Heavenly Sword Sect, he left the Immortal Gate but was now colluding with Ji Shen.
This guy was crazy powerful—current Master Sister Luo Ying probably wasn’t even his match, especially not with a bull-headed lord behind him.
For the first time, Little Musashi felt her heart race.
Given her current strength, she didn’t think she could take on those two.
Not to mention there were other formidable demons around. It wouldn’t be easy to escape alone.
Little Musashi had considered just charging in and fighting them to the d*ath. After all, this character card had three lives; dying once wouldn’t be the end of the world.
But then she thought better of it. Such reckless actions would only damage her reputation, diminishing the impact of the Extermination of Immortals as a whole—a case of losing more than winning.
If she was going to d*e, she planned on doing it spectacularly—not foolishly diving in headfirst!
Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm her racing heart, but before she could, she caught a glimpse of Cold Little Rain looking at her with a hint of terror.
With a trembling voice, Cold Little Rain whispered, “Musashi, what should we do? I don’t want to be….”
She couldn’t finish her sentence.
Little Musashi understood perfectly.
As human beings or players, how could they allow themselves to be assaulted by demons in a game?
And especially not in front of countless other players.
Though the live stream could be turned off, the players who had already witnessed such a scene surely had their suspicions.
What would the public opinion turn into if Cold Little Rain were to respawn after dying?
Mockery? Sympathy? Consolation?
The world would always have plenty of people who thrived on misfortune.
Thinking of the extreme possibilities, her real life could be affected.
Finally, as the multitude of demons made their presence known, despite their silence, the pressure they radiated plunged the atmosphere into a stifled tension. No one even dared to twitch.
After entering the valley, Fu Yetian’s eyes landed immediately on the statuesque forms of Little Musashi and Cold Little Rain.
Their faces betraying fear, yet somehow their presence added a unique allure that made them tempting to trample upon.
Compared to the other cowering women, both Little Musashi and Cold Little Rain vastly outshone in stature and looks.
“Great King, today’s lunch is prepared following the customs of the demon realm. The flavors there greatly differ from both the demon and human realms, but when sampled occasionally, it presents a unique taste!”
Fu Yetian’s gaze returned to the bull-headed man.
The Great King of the Split Land chuckled, “This invitation from the protector is indeed worthwhile; I am pleasantly surprised by today’s encounter.”
Fu Yetian replied, “It’s an honor to please the Great King. So, shall we enjoy our meal while chatting, following demon customs?”
“Sounds good, I’ll follow your lead!”
With a clap of his hands, Fu Yetian declared, “Today’s banquet is open for all. Eat, drink, and be merry!”
At this, the fear in the women’s eyes slightly lessened.
Compared to the potential horrors that awaited them, the delicious food right before them became their best balm for the soul, especially since the table was laden with rich wine.
A few cups later, it wouldn’t hurt so much, right?
As Fu Yetian’s command rang out, everyone quickly dispersed.
The demons, mostly inexperienced with this kind of dining, were all clumsy; the bear monster even accidentally knocked over a dessert rack, creating a chaotic mess.
Dog-headed servants rushed to clean up, juggling the various bizarre requests from the demons.
Fu Yetian soon redirected his attention back to Little Musashi and Cold Little Rain.
He beckoned them closer, coolly saying, “Come here.”
The two girls obediently approached him.
“You two just arrived, correct?”
“Yes,” Little Musashi replied.
“Good. You’re lucky; right off the bat, you encountered our most esteemed guest.”
The girls exchanged anxious glances at Fu Yetian.
“Just stand by for now; don’t worry.
I’ve instructed the other demons not to disturb you.”
“Th-Thanks,” Little Musashi stammered.
Fu Yetian smiled politely, “No need for thanks. Just a reminder: the day you bear children is the day you change your fate.”
With that, he turned away, engaging in conversation with the Great King of the Split Land, leaving Little Musashi and Cold Little Rain stranded in utter bewilderment.
Bear children?
In the game?
I must’ve misheard!
