Chapter 13: Gather the Seven Lolis to Summon the Divine Dragon
In Zero Meow’s lounge, Night Lan let out a gentle sigh, feeling a tad disappointed.
The reason? She couldn’t make the Star Eclipses from the Group Leader and the others disappear!
Last night, the Wish Machine didn’t respond to her at all. Was there something wrong?
At that moment, Neko Shinna, who had been attentively listening to Zero Meow’s teachings, stood up and said, “Uh, can we hit pause for a second? My friend just arrived, and I want to go meet her.”
“Eh, meow? Friend?” Zero Meow blinked in confusion.
Neko Shinna replied, “Well, I just found out today that she’s here studying, just like me! I was totally shocked when I found out!”
Zero Meow nodded thoughtfully.
“I see, meow! Is she a potential Night Watcher too? How old is she?”
“Fourteen.”
“Shocking, meow! Another Loli? I have a feeling this Loli is definitely someone I should take under my wing!”
Unbeknownst to her, Zero Meow felt more and more Lolis were gathering around her.
This was pure, living material!
If inspiration was running low, observing these adorable girls would surely spark creativity, right?
Yep, sounds great!
With that thought, Zero Meow found herself inexplicably excited.
Night Lan was also pretty happy. Being a Loli enthusiast, she had no objections—just having cute girls to look at was enough.
“Speaking of which, with more and more Lolis around, if we gather seven of them, can we summon a divine dragon? And then wish for everyone in the world to be turned into Lolis—hehe~”
White Fish, overhearing Night Lan’s musing, rolled her eyes slightly. “That wish is downright terrifying.”
“Well, I was just joking~”
Then, Zero Meow stood up, striking a pose like the boss of a group of Lolis.
“Let’s go welcome our new partner, meow!”
Hearing her, Night Lan shook off her random thoughts and stood up with her.
“I’ll go too.”
With that, the group set off, following Neko Shinna’s lead to the designated area.
After a short while, they finally arrived.
Upon reaching their destination, they noticed a bunch of people hanging around lazily, exuding an aura of defeat and tranquility. It felt like this ambiance was perfect for everyone to just chill.
“Eh…”
Night Lan observed this peculiar vibe, never having seen so many Night Watchers lounging around at once. Was there a big event happening?
Zero Meow was equally puzzled.
“Meow~ Why are there so many seniors here? They all look kinda defeated. Are they just chilling?”
Neko Shinna was busy tapping away on her phone, seemingly messaging her friend.
Before long, a petite girl blocked by another person stood up, glanced around, and spotted Neko Shinna, leading her to walk over.
“Sister Shinna~”
“Star Yoon, long time no see!”
Star Yoon jumped into Neko Shinna’s arms, snuggling up to her.
“Sister Shinna, I’m a bit hungry.”
“Then I’ll whip up some snacks for you to munch on.”
“Yay~”
Night Lan couldn’t help but smile at the platinum-haired girl snuggling with Neko Shinna. It really hit her.
Birds of a feather flock together—any friend of a cute Loli must also be an adorably cute Loli.
Star Yoon, huh?
What a cute name! It even shares a “star” character with Night Lan. She seemed easy to get along with.
Noticing Neko Shinna had some girls around her, Star Yoon straightened up and softly greeted them.
“Hi, I’m Star Yoon. Besides gaming and chilling, I don’t really do much else. I hope we get along well!”
“Gaming and chilling?”
Hearing this, Night Lan inadvertently thought of herself.
She also enjoyed chilling, but whenever she tried, things rarely went according to plan. There were always distractions, and only recently had she found time to snuggle with the little Lolis.
Learning that Star Yoon liked to chill too made her feel a strange sense of affinity.
So, she introduced herself first.
“Hey there! I’m Night Lan, and I also like chilling.”
“Really? Then let’s chill together from now on!” Star Yoon’s face lit up, thrilled to find someone who shared her interests.
With that, she wouldn’t have to worry about getting along poorly.
As long as they both liked to chill, they’d surely vibe well.
At that moment, Zero Meow chimed in, “Since we’ve picked her up, let’s head back, meow.”
Soon, Star Yoon followed Night Lan and the others back to the lounge while Neko Shinna headed to the kitchen to whip up something for her to eat.
After the unusual departure, the remaining guards in the area slowly regained their composure, pondering whether they had done something wrong.
However, it was clear that after some time to relax, the pressure on them had eased significantly.
And since there were no other issues, they didn’t pursue it further.
Meanwhile, Cai Xun and Bu Jie, who had been goofing off, suddenly remembered something and fell into thought.
“Cai Dog, it seems we have a task we haven’t completed.”
“Right! What’s that again?”
As the two pondered, a gray-white-haired figure approached them, coldly looking down at them.
“Did you forget you still have things to do?”
At the sound of his voice, Cai Xun and Bu Jie stiffened, already mentally prepping for a cozy nap.
“Uh… Captain Bai Yuan, we seem to have been influenced by our colleague Star, and it’s definitely not that we were being lazy on purpose, aren’t I right, Cai Xun?”
“Ah yes, yes, that’s it! What Bu Jie said is exactly what I wanted to say! We definitely weren’t trying to be lazy!”
Bai Yuan narrowed his eyes but said nothing further.
He had sensed a weak star fluctuation earlier. If one’s mental capacity wasn’t up to A level, they wouldn’t even notice this harmless mysterious realm.
“Forget it, go handle your business.”
Upon hearing this, the two sighed in relief and quickly sprang to their feet.
“Thanks, Captain! We’re off now!”
In a flash, the two figures disappeared from Bai Yuan’s sight.
Seeing this, Bai Yuan also left the area.
…
Back in Zero Meow’s lounge.
Star Yoon sat down, curiously scanning her surroundings, quickly adapting.
Just then, her phone rang.
“Mm?”
She picked it up, discovering the check-in process was complete.
Her room seemed to be right next door.
Eh, whatever, time to chill and game!
As Star Yoon prepared to pull out her console, Zero Meow spoke up, “Meow~ The senior White Paint just messaged me! The newbie Star Yoon is also going to be trained by me. So, let’s start learning!”
“Learning?”
Star Yoon stiffened.
“Can I learn while I chill?”
Zero Meow looked at her skeptically.
“What kind of silly talk is that? Of course, you have to learn before you chill! Can you really be efficient while doing both at the same time?”
“Actually, you can,” Star Yoon mumbled.
“No way, meow! You must learn before you can chill! My students can’t be slackers! If you don’t even know the basics of being a Night Watcher, then you’re seriously slacking!”
“Um… whimper…”
Star Yoon looked away, suddenly wanting to go home.
Her family hadn’t told her she’d have to learn anything when she came here! How could she not chill freely?
She just wanted to game.
