### Chapter One: White Feather City vs. Cold Wind City

### Chapter One: White Feather City vs. Cold Wind City

Brief Story Synopsis:

Amidst the vast and boundless Chaos Forest, towering like an ancient titan is the once-glorious third-largest city of the Monster Race, White Feather City.

Its lord, the Great King of the Split Land, has reigned for nearly four centuries. Under his chaotic yet oddly balanced rule, the order in Chaos Forest resembles a toddler’s playroom after a sugar rush—complete mayhem yet somehow functioning.

Enter one fateful day, when this delicate balance went out the window.

Cold Wind Cave decided it was time for a makeover and transformed itself into Cold Wind City, brazenly challenging the status quo.

But hold your horses! With the mighty forces of White Feather City standing strong and many a fearsome warrior at their beck and call, can the underdog Cold Wind City actually snatch victory from the jaws of defeat this time?

Which faction will be the one to trigger the epic saga of the Monster Race’s rise to glory?

Players, they need your help!

Introduction to Factions:

Twelve Cave Masters of White Feather City: Averaging Level 80 (thanks to the unplanned demise of the Black Bear Monster, replaced by a White Bear Monster).

Countless Little Demons at their command.

Cold Wind City: Strength unknown, players are encouraged to explore.

Official Win Rate Guess:

– White Feather City: 80%

– Cold Wind City: 20%

Players who join Cold Wind City and win will get a whopping 30,000 XP, 10,000 skill XP, a stash of crafting materials worth 800 Spirit Coins, and a snazzy gold-grade weapon.

Registration will begin in 30 minutes.

That’s all folks!

The players, having skimmed the update log in a frenzy, went absolutely bananas.

Holy cow, this is the first time the game has opened up an NPC battle mode for players!

In the past, players would watch NPCs duke it out like gladiators and have absolutely no clue what was going on.

But now, players could transform from mere spectators into the pivotal players in an epic narrative. Talk about excitement—it’s like finally getting backstage passes to your favorite concert!

The number of players over level 30 may be small, but 5,000 spots? That’s basically like sending a kid into a candy store with only a quarter!

And it’s first come, first served, which means time to pick a side before the virtual doors slam shut!

Not just your average player, even Tang Tong found himself in a pickle during his livestream.

Many viewers were bombarding him with questions: “Should I go for Cold Wind City or stick with White Feather City?”

Clearly, White Feather City is a titan with a fearsome reputation, and the Great King of the Split Land is a well-known boss. Just the other day, the popular NPC Little Musashi famously met her end in a heroic showdown with the Black Bear Monster of White Feather City.

So obviously, players have a vivid impression of White Feather City and know the Great King is no walk in the park.

Choosing White Feather City is straightforward; all one has to do is cheer “666” throughout, and they might just land some system rewards.

After all, the win rate is right there for everyone to see—no blindfolds required.

But glance at the rewards, and it’s a different ballgame: Cold Wind City offers better loot! The adage “great risks bring great rewards” rings true, and players caught on quickly.

Thus began the internal struggle of choice among players!

The system only allows them 30 minutes to contemplate—a situation that had players feeling like ants on a hot skillet.

Tang Tong was equally torn.

One thing stumping him: why did White Feather City have all its details neatly laid out while Cold Wind City was a big fat question mark?

Could it be that since the Great King and the Twelve Cave Masters appeared in players’ streams, the system was like, “Hey, they got this,” while Cold Wind City slipped under the radar?

Sigh! Which one do I choose?

Maybe… I should flip a coin?

P.S.: To all you lovely viewers! Please throw me a vote!
