### Chapter 7: Defeat is Inevitable in Cold Wind City!
==============================
To help players focus on fierce combat rather than wasting time on long journeys (I mean, with Chaos Forest being so huge, it would take players days to walk from the Human Realm to White Feather City), the System kindly set up temporary teleportation points all over the place to facilitate quick movement.
Sure, teleportation costs some Spirit Coins, but players over level 30 typically have thousands saved up, so a few coins here and there is just pocket change for them. After all, time is money! Wasting time on the roads is basically digging your own grave.
Once the five thousand players entered the Chaos Forest under the System’s watchful eye, it wasn’t the nightmare of the Monster Race under the banners of White Feather City and Cold Wind City that began—their lairs became treasure troves for players!
Since the Monster Race isn’t your typical leveling monster found on mountains, and there’s no respawn mechanism, some players completely ditched the main quest and went full treasure hunt as soon as they stepped into the forest.
So what if they didn’t get any victory rewards? Gathering loot from the lairs could make the trip worthwhile!
Lucky for the System, it quickly spotted this loophole. While restricting scattered monsters from easily revealing themselves, it set a reporting deadline for players. Anyone who dares to deviate will be booted from the Chaos Forest battlefield and won’t get another shot at epic battles.
Now, players skilled at hunting glitches finally decided to behave.
However, some speedy players still managed to raid a few lairs, swaggering around with their loot and making the rest of the players just itchin’ to break their faction bindings for a good old-fashioned PK showdown.
Without getting into how the subsequent missions were arranged, the System required all players to report back to their respective main cities first.
Instantly, the five thousand players split off in different directions.
An hour later, the forum exploded.
A post titled “Battle of White Feather City vs. Cold Wind City: The Outcome is Clear!” rocketed to the top of the trending threads.
The poster was a seasoned forum warrior.
Among the participants in this epic battle were well-known streamers like Upgrade Maniac, Firefly, Strong Brother, and Cold Little Rain. Forget the few players who were all about enjoying the process—practically everyone had their own streaming channels, vying for attention and trying to pull in the audience with exclusives.
As a result, the crowd was scattered all over the place, like dragonflies skimming water—glancing here, peeking there, all while enjoying this player extravaganza.
But most were just skimming the surface, lacking any deep analysis of the impending showdown between the two cities.
Just then, a detailed analysis post swooped in and was instantly pinned by the mods.
“White Feather City vs. Cold Wind City: The Outcome is Clear!
Warning: Lots of Pictures Ahead!
Impatient players can scroll straight to the conclusions at the end.
First, a big thank you to all the streamers for their selfless contributions—every image is a screenshot from various streams.
First Set of Pictures: White Feather City.
1. Majestic walls that seem to reach for the heavens! The gates look like they could poke a cloud—they definitely have that “watch out, here comes the king” vibe.
2. The walls are so wide that you could have nine horses trotting side by side, showcasing their grand scale.
3. The streets are wide and the buildings are uniformly arranged, complete with a fully functioning sewer system—this city has definitely been around for over a century!
4. Abundant burly monsters in the army, fully equipped with sophisticated weapons—a clear sign of a well-armed regular army.
Second Set of Pictures: Cold Wind City.
1. While the area near the gate is built from bricks, almost everywhere else is held up by wooden walls.
2. The widest part of the wall allows only four people to walk next to each other.
3. The streets are a mess, giving off serious slum vibes; many wooden buildings look slapped together, with effluents running everywhere—walking through the muddy paths, you can even spot traces of…well, let’s say, human activity.
4. Most of the monsters look a bit shabby, their armor and weapons in a state of decay. They might look spirited, but spirits don’t fill your belly, and they gather in groups laughing like a bunch of rogue soldiers.
Now, how does that make you feel?
That’s right—Cold Wind City is not even in the same league as White Feather City, so it’s no wonder the initial official projected winning chances were a mere 20%.
And adding player weight to the equation? Those chances dropped to around 5%.
Of course, beyond these numbers, we can analyze from the images. If we were to compare it to the real world, White Feather City would resemble a government army of the monsters, while Cold Wind City would be like a ragtag guerrilla squad.
Apart from both cities sharing the “City” label, I honestly couldn’t find any common ground.
Forget about the mess in Cold Wind City, it’s lagging way behind in both soldier numbers and equipment compared to White Feather City—how on earth is a team of this caliber supposed to challenge White Feather?
Four thousand players could probably just stomp down Cold Wind City’s short walls!
From this comparison, I see zero chance for Cold Wind City to turn this around.
So, in short, let’s have a moment of silence for the players joining Cold Wind City.
Maybe you could find a chance to hunt some straggler monster lairs around to soften your losses?
After all, you only get one chance to revive at your original level from d*ath during battles; dying a second time means half your experience goes poof!
No using luck as a strategy!
This weak and hopeless rebel faction seems doomed, and sticking with them is only asking for failure.
Oh, and speaking of players who chose Cold Wind City, I nearly forgot to mention one guild—Ji Shen.
Their leader is Dog Head Strong Brother.
We all felt a pang at the news of Little Musashi’s d*ath, but hey, it’s a game! Feelings don’t get you loot.
Joining White Feather City clearly maximizes player interests.
So players cast their votes with their feet.
As for 200 players following Strong Brother into Cold Wind City? You truly are brave souls.
After all, you might not earn a single coin and will lose half your experience.
But I wish you luck.
Who knows, maybe the Ji Shen organization will suddenly come to your rescue and turn the tide?
Let’s just see if this little monster infighting can attract the attention of Cold Moon Witch!
In my opinion, this battle’s fate is already sealed.
I’m just here, face up!
Hope it hurts a bit!
Haha, although I know that’s not going to happen.

The top-liked comment read:
“Dude, do you really think showing us already known facts is impressive?”
The second-most liked comment said:
“Looks like the poster is a Ji Shen fan! Diagnosis confirmed!”
The third-highest:
“We all love Little Musashi; teaming up with White Feather City is just to know our enemy and plan our revenge later. Anyone sharing this vibe, smash that like button!”
Lin Nan saw this post and remained unfazed.
With a couple of powerful character cards as backup, she decided that the second things started looking sketchy, she would bail out.
Why risk it all on a single tree in Cold Wind City, when she could survive elsewhere?
