Chapter 6: The Finale (12)
==============================
In a shocking twist, Good Shiyuan, decked out in a clothes-removing divine technique, managed to hold his ground against Lin Nan wielding the White Shadow Sword! This was mind-blowing even for Shiyuan himself.
Meanwhile, Evil Shiyuan, barely awake, sprung up like a startled cat, grabbing a stick as if he was set to take on Good Shiyuan right then and there.
His reckless move was quickly thwarted by Shiyuan grabbing him tightly.
“Bro, hey! Bro, don’t be impulsive! Can’t you see Sister is busy with him right now? If you run over there, you’ll not only be useless but just a distraction!”
“What the heck did that b*stard do to me?”
Evil Shiyuan patted himself down, feeling a little dizzy but otherwise okay, or so he thought.
Shiyuan shrugged, “No clue! How about we wait for Sister to subdue him first before you start asking questions?”
Evil Shiyuan stared at the chaotic explosion of epic proportions unfolding in the distance and somehow managed to calm his jittery insides. He knew charging in right now would only mess things up for Lin Nan.
But if that j*rk dared to hurt Lin Nan, he would fight to the d*ath to avenge her!
Meanwhile, Li Hanbo was hiding behind a boulder, completely dumbfounded and feeling a bit dizzy himself. This level of fighting was new territory for him.
He thought he’d emerge as the strongest Fallen Species from Sky Sword City and swagger through Asking Dao Continent without a care in the world, but the showdown between his leader and the Cold Moon Witch was something else. Explosive, awe-inspiring, and well… utterly mind-blowing.
He never imagined that such cataclysmic blasts, tremors, and shockwaves could be produced by just two people fighting, making the entire Small Thousand World quiver as if caught in a mini-nuke!
“Is this for real?!”
“Is this what top-tier fighters do?”
“Oh my gosh, Princess Witch is really something, keeping the enemy leader pinned in such a small space. Victory is just a breath away!”
“Wait a minute, the enemy seems to be up to something!”
Not only the Heavenly Sword Sect Disciples but even Luo Ying sensed something fishy going on.
Good Shiyuan appeared to be evenly matched with Demon Empress Frost North Snow, but as he deftly moved, he left behind more and more red thread-like marks in the air, gradually slicing the space around them into tiny fragments.
Once, the swaying hem of Frost North Snow’s dress accidentally brushed against a red thread, and with a fluke-like flick, it sliced right through!
Good Shiyuan, however, was immune to those red threads and danced around freely amidst them.
Any sensible person could see that if the battle dragged on, it would become increasingly unfavorable for the Cold Moon Witch. Yet, Lin Nan found it tough to pin down Good Shiyuan.
Luo Ying looked up at the black figure skillfully darting through the air, her heart quietly pleading, “Princess, you’ve got a plan, right?”
As both factions fidgeted in anticipation of the fight’s outcome, ominous dark clouds rolled in, blanketing the sky.
“What fresh madness is this?!”
“Boom! Boom!”
Blinding lightning followed by earth-shaking thunder rattled the heavens.
The deep vibrations churned everyone’s hearts uneasily; nobody knew what the sudden appearance of these storm clouds meant.
Good Shiyuan continued his aerial maneuvers, and as he traced his fingers in the air, the red threads left a faint crimson hue in their wake.
Evil Shiyuan was panicking. “What the hell is this move?!”
He raised his iron stick and slammed it down onto the nearest red thread.
“Crack…”
Suddenly feeling lighter, he looked down to see his hefty iron rod sliced cleanly in half by the seemingly delicate red threads.
Evil Shiyuan stood there, gaping in disbelief. “What the…??”
He almost reached out to touch one of those red threads, but was yanked back by Shiyuan.
“Let me handle this!”
Shiyuan took a deep breath and aimed his fist at a red thread with all his might.
But just when his fist was a fraction away from the thread, a thick bolt of lightning shot down, striking right between his fist and the thread, jolting him backward several steps!
He glanced at his fist, shocked to see it scorched and charred, the smell of burnt flesh wafting in the air, with a glimpse of bone peeking through!
With a groan, Shiyuan wrung his fist, still tempted to go again.
But Evil Shiyuan blocked him, pointing up at the heavy storm clouds.
“Sister said not to go!”
Having spent plenty of time together, the two brothers had built a bond, so their communication was in sync.
Shiyuan looked up at the roiling dark clouds and decided not to act rashly.
“Boom! Boom!”
The thunder continued to roar.
In an instant, the entire Small Thousand World was cloaked in relentless dark clouds, turning the bright sky into a dreary twilight.
Of course, Good Shiyuan wasn’t blind to the ominous sign above.
The swirling clouds indicated a powerful lightning force that no ordinary person could withstand.
But seriously, did they think this was going to destroy his judgment and slicing formation?
Even if the lightning hit those slender threads, what of it? He could set it up again in a flash.
Trying to push against him like this—this impersonator of Frost North Snow was hilariously naïve!
“It’s over!”
Good Shiyuan hovered in the air as Lin Nan found herself encircled by countless red threads.
“This sharp and resilient thread also comes from the Small World. Any object that lightly brushes against it will surely be cut down by its immense power. I’ve changed my mind— even if you become a pile of scraps, I can put you back together. So you can rest easy and d*e!”
Lin Nan wore a blank expression, refusing to engage with him.
Arguing with an enemy who had already lost their mind was futile.
As Li Hanbo had said before, power represents justice, and being weak is a crime.
Especially in a brutal world where no one would stick their neck out for the weak, not unless it benefited them.
After all, when survival is the name of the game, compassion becomes a rare, precious commodity.
So she never relied on hope from her enemies.
“Boom! Boom!”
The booming thunder continued to pummel the increasingly grim skies.
At that moment, a towering white silhouette, nearly ten meters tall, appeared slowly behind Lin Nan.
Good Shiyuan’s eyes widened in shock; he squinted to focus, only to see a striking, tall man dressed in phoenix garb, handsome with hands clasped, taking up most of the sky.
As soon as he recognized his face, Good Shiyuan’s legs turned to jelly, and he couldn’t help but kneel down.
