**Chapter 8: The Finale (14)**

Chapter 8: The Finale (14)

Dark clouds loomed overhead, lightning flashed, and thunder roared.

The entire Small Thousand World was shrouded in a dim, yellowish haze, save for the judgment cutting formation set up by Good Shiyuan, with ominous red threads flickering like they were auditioning for a horror movie.

And just at that moment, behind the Cold Moon Witch, a towering figure—nearly ten meters tall—suddenly appeared, casting its shadow like a behemoth lamp that illuminated half the Small Thousand World.

Hiding behind a boulder, Li Hanbo squinted and saw that the figure was decked out in a flamboyant red and green phoenix outfit, hands pressed together in a rather serious pose. A hairpin held up cascading long hair, giving off more of a “vigilant maiden” vibe than anything else.

To top it off, there were three maids flanking this ethereal being: one held a ceremonial canopy like a bouncer at an exclusive club, another was flaunting two peony flowers—one in her hand and another sitting in a pot like it was the latest fashion trend, while the last one cradled a miniature rock garden that looked lush enough to make anyone jealous.

Li Hanbo had no clue who this giant was, but just a glance made his knees buckle as if weighed down by a thousand pounds.

“Thud!” he hit the ground before he could process what was going on. Was he… praying?

And to a shadowy figure at that? Ridiculous!

Determined to shake off this insane pressure, Li Hanbo grunted and pushed himself up. In true modern-day hero fashion, he placed a hand on his hip, inhaled deeply, and shouted at the figure, “Hey you! Which road did you stroll in from? This isn’t your hangout! Go back from whence you came, or we’ll show you a good time—god or ghost, we don’t care!”

His outrageous proclamation left everyone in stunned silence.

Especially Good Shiyuan, who nearly jumped out of his skin and stared incredulously at Li Hanbo.

“Boss, don’t be scared! This thing is a joke! Gods are just figments of our imagination—wishful thinking that doesn’t actually exist. This must be the work of that Frost North Snow, trying to scare us into submission. Bet she’s just using a projector to pull this whole stunt!”

The more he spoke, the more Li Hanbo felt invigorated, almost forgetting the looming pressure weighing down on him.

His escalating confidence was proving his argument right in real time.

With a dramatic wave of his hand, he declared, “Boss, we’re atheists! We don’t buy into any of that supernatural nonsense. Watch me trash these phony wannabe gods!”

No sooner had he finished speaking, several hefty tentacles emerged behind the divine shadow of Di Shitian.

“Stir things up!”

They began swirling around like they were auditioning for a dance-off.

But just at that moment, the most shocking thing happened.

Basking in the divine light, Lin Nan slowly opened her eyes, coldly stating, “Whether the Divine Clan exists isn’t for you or me to judge. But because of your great disrespect today, I have every right to punish you.”

“Ha! Believing is seeing, not believing is just denial. You think I don’t know?” Lin Nan sighed, shaking her head, “You brought this upon yourself.”

Just as the tentacles were about to make contact with the figure, the three maids surrounding Di Shitian suddenly raised their hands, pointing delicately.

The tentacles froze on the spot as if they had been petrified. No matter how Li Hanbo gritted his teeth and tried to power through, they weren’t budging an inch.

“What the heck is going on?

d*mn it, I have more tentacles!”

Yet, the strangest thing was that even as he turned beet red and summoned every ounce of strength he had, not a single tentacle would budge. It was as if someone had pressed the big ‘No’ button on his powers.

Li Hanbo was in full panic mode.

This was his survival skill! Without it, who was he but just another fallen species?

“Boss! Boss! What’s happening to me?!”

Good Shiyuan looked at him like he was witnessing a ghost.

At that moment, the maid holding the peony flower poked the frozen tentacle again.

“Crash…”

The tentacles shattered into a shower of pieces, and more terrifying, at the same time, Li Hanbo experienced the same fate.

His body instantly turned into a stone statue, then as if struck by a heavy hammer, he was ground into rubble, scattering the remains of what was once him across the floor like discarded building debris.

Luo Ying was utterly stunned.

She had thought that shadow merely represented the identity of a deity and didn’t possess any actual combat prowess.

But who would’ve guessed that Li Hanbo, who had stubbornly clashed with her for ages, would be shattered to pieces with just a single move from the divine shadow?

Such a power could hardly be withstood by any ordinary being.

The Heavenly Sword Sect disciples were pressed to the ground, too terrified to even dare to breathe.

Even though they didn’t know the specific identity of the figure, the moment it appeared, the overwhelming pressure had sent them spiraling into deep fear and submission. Any thoughts of rebellion were nowhere to be found.

Witnessing all of this, Good Shiyuan’s eyes filled with sheer terror for the first time.

He didn’t understand—truly did not understand.

If it weren’t for the memory of the Small Thousand World still residing within him, he would have only felt the pressure from the Divine Clan but remained clueless about who this person really was.

But this was clearly Di Shitian, a high-ranking figure amongst the Divine Clan.

Even among the gods, he was an extraordinarily esteemed individual. How could he stand up for Frost North Snow so easily?

While she might be a big deal in the Asking Dao Continent, to the Divine Clan, she was just a chunkier grasshopper—easily squashed.

But now…

Good Shiyuan looked at Lin Nan, astonishment and doubt filling his eyes.
