Just as Nie Zhengchu had predicted, the strange energy surrounding the Sky Island could shield against powerful physical explosion damage, but it didn’t necessarily block the special operatives of the Special Operations Bureau wielding their supernatural abilities.
Though there weren’t many operatives with flying skills, the fact that they had successfully landed on the edge of the Sky Island as an advance team was a clear indication that Nie Zhengchu’s predictions were spot on.
Now, all they had to do was quickly seize the landing point and open up a support channel for the incoming helicopters.
Each operative was armed with submachine guns and a pair of pistols, creating a splendid initial firepower net.
After all, the demon warriors mostly wielded cold weapons, with only a handful using bows and crossbows. A mere fifty operatives were applying major pressure on the swarming demon warriors.
However, these guys had skin as tough as armor; unless they got hit in the vitals, they were still bouncing around like nothing happened.
The operatives even heard intermittent beautiful music coming from the rear of the enemies. Even the severely wounded foes could quickly regain their combat ability!
In a state of shock, as more operatives arrived to provide support, their firepower ramped up dramatically.
After witnessing their comrades’ heads being blown apart, the demon tribe warriors decided not to trade blows with the operatives anymore, instead opting to hide in various buildings scattered throughout the city.
Nie Zhengchu’s expression darkened, “Oh no, are they trying to get us into a street fight?”
Without heavy weapons support, street fighting would be a serious disadvantage for the attacking side.
Back in World War II, the German troops stormed into Stalingrad only to be entangled in the ruins of the city by the Soviet army, unable to escape. They later suffered from the unbearable cold and disrupted supply lines, marking a turning point in the war.

The crowd generally held a negative view on Ouyang Le’s performance; after all, the contrast between the two was just too stark.
While Lin was going toe-to-toe with the final boss, Ouyang Le nearly got himself smacked down the moment he showed up. The difference was undeniable!
At that moment, Fu Yetian was getting more and more anxious.
He had thought that after receiving the system’s rewards, the natives in this Small World would be no match for him.

He swung his heavy sword, pushing her back, then suddenly flipped his body and plunged into the churning, boiling bl**d pool.
Lin Nan immediately felt a tremendous pressure bearing down on her, and the entire underground shelter shook as if on the verge of collapse.
It was time to get out of there!
If they hesitated any longer, they might end up permanently trapped beneath tons of rubble, and even a supernatural being wouldn’t escape the weight of that dirt and rock.
“Let’s go!” Lin Nan shot a glance at Ouyang Le.
After a few minutes of resting, Ouyang Le had practically regained most of his strength.
He silently stood up and slowly shook his head, “Isn’t this just the perfect moment to k*ll the enemy leader?”
“Don’t be rash!” Lin Nan said coldly, “But if you want to throw your life away, I won’t stop you.
I said to go, and you’re deliberately going against me to highlight your individuality.
Years have passed, and you haven’t changed a bit: impulsive and ruthless, caught in a stubborn loop of failure and resistance right in front of me.
Ouyang Le, stop doubting my judgment.
Just remember: even if you’re only one step behind me, the gap between first and second place is like the Grand Canyon. If you think we’re in the same league, you’re gravely mistaken.”
Ouyang Le’s face fluctuated between red and white, as years of pent-up frustration erupted at that moment.
His left hand suddenly shot up, freezing the drone hiding behind the rocks into an ice block.
Just at that critical moment, the heavyweight guys from the Ocean City Operations Bureau and the Capital Operations Bureau were having a falling out, leaving the viewers on the edge of their seats, yelling, “Seriously, Ouyang Le, are you an idiot?! Why are you still swaying left and right at a time like this? Hurry up and back away with Director Lin!”
“This guy has zero emotional intelligence. If it were me, I’d be infuriated by this jealous little brother.”
“Oh my god, this dude is still the director of the Capital Operations Bureau?! Compared to Lin, he’s like millions of light-years behind.”
But just when the viewers felt like diving into the screen to drag that guy out for a good beating, the screen suddenly went black and lost signal.

Countless viewers were on the verge of cursing the TV station’s ancestors into the next millennium.
