I Come From the Abyss to Save Humanity Today – Chapter 490

### Chapter 116: bl**d Wind and Chaotic Waves (Part Two)

The mist surged and spread from behind the heretics’ formation, like fluffy clouds blanketing the ground. In the blink of an eye, it enveloped most of the battlefield, turning the surroundings into a white blur where almost nothing was visible.

All I could hear were the clashing of weapons, shouts, and screams continuously ringing in my ears. The elite cavalry team that had been charging at the forefront was swiftly swallowed by the thick fog, completely severed from the infantry behind them. Flames ravaged their direction, followed by the deafening sounds of explosions echoing one after another, shaking the very ground beneath me.

Oh no…

I reacted quickly, releasing a chilling aura around me to expand my vision. The knights nearby became clearer, but their advance was blocked by the fog farther ahead. The knights stood frozen in indecision as frantic shouts and peculiar calls grew louder from the high slopes on both sides. The two groups of heretics that had planned to encircle us were now rushing back, and the situation had seemingly flipped in the blink of an eye under the influence of the Gate of Truth.

d*mn it…

I couldn’t see the person responsible for releasing the fog, but they had to be at the back of the formation.

What to do, what to do…

“Isaac—”

The bald-headed guy seemed to be more reckless than me, having vanished since earlier. Panicked, I shouted at the top of my lungs through the crowd, but my weak voice was lost amid the chaos of war, like a cotton ball tossed on water—no ripples anywhere to be found. Thankfully, someone behind me bellowed loudly, clearly calling my name: “Silvya—!”

I turned around to see Safiros galloping toward me on his horned horse. “Light of MaFa! Launch the Light of MaFa into the sky! Notify the Pope and the Faith Organization of your location—”

He’s right!

My eyes lit up.

In the chaotic battlefield where mist rampaged, nobody knew where anyone was. Earlier, Angel had mentioned using a divine miracle of wind to assist me from the back and enlarge the area of ice mist dispersion. I had to let him know where I was!

I pulled out a gold sphere from my pouch and hurled it skyward with all my might. A flash of golden light burst forth, and with a “whoosh,” the blinding projectile shot into the heights, piercing through the mist above. I squinted my eyes slightly, and in the next moment, a blue light flickered in my vision as the frosty aura began gushing out around me. Safiros was racing by on his beast, waving his arm and shouting at the knights nearby, “Spread out, get away from here—”

Woo—

A dull trumpet blared from behind. Soon after, an ethereal chant floated in from the northern side, followed by brilliant lights blooming within the thick fog. The illumination was so intense it pierced through the white mist, almost blinding me.

Under the aura, I turned back, focusing on channeling the Power of Order within me. The frosty aura continuously poured out, covering the muddy grass beneath my feet and the countless knights surrounding me in a thin layer of frost. The air sparkled with ice crystals, and the dense fog ahead began dissipating at a clearly visible speed.

Whoosh—

A gentle breeze swept through the knights’ cheers, brushing against my ears and swirling the grass and leaves. The wind gained momentum, and in the blink of an eye, my black hair flew forward, dancing wildly in my vision as ice crystals drifted further into the fog, wreaking havoc and spreading cold.

“k*ll those hypocritical knights!”

“Surround them—”

The heretics, who had been scattered by the elite cavalry, reorganized in the fog ahead. Their shouts and footsteps quickly approached—then, in the next moment, a fierce wind howled before me.

A wind that swept across half the wilderness suddenly barreled toward the mist, swirling the cold currents among the fog as it blew past toward the city walls. The gusts staggered me, making my cloak rustle wildly. Luckily, the ground was still damp enough not to kick up dirt, though I still couldn’t keep my eyes open.

The icy air howled across the prairie, abruptly blowing apart the distant fog, crystallizing it into stunning hoarfrost that spread across the grass and trees. Visibility shot up in an instant, and the heretics, previously wobbling in the wind a hundred meters away, came into clear view.

Got it!

Woo—

The war trumpet blared once more. Safiros, his armor rimmed with frost, exhaled a misty breath as he roared from atop his beast, “Form up!—”

Clang, clang, clang, clang, clang, clang!!!

Golden shields were raised dozens of meters ahead, forming a wall in the wilderness. The knights arranged themselves behind the shield bearers, and with synchronized “whoosh” sounds, countless sharp spears thrust through the gaps between the shields, just as a tide of heretics charged at us, their bodies ablaze with infernal fire.

The tremendous force surged forward, and the knights shouted, pressing down on the spear shafts with all their strength. The spears bent, bl**d and fire erupted, and some were burned by the inferno, howling like wild beasts, while several comrades were knocked aside. In the next moment, healing divine light cascaded down from the sky.

The wind continued to howl, the dense fog receding in the midst of chaos, and the silhouettes of the elite cavalry became visible once again. Those positioned too far forward were completely surrounded, fighting desperately amidst the flames. In a fleeting glance, I saw Isaac transform into a golden meteor, plummeting toward the area with the fiercest flames. Amidst the roaring fires, a hulking figure raised his weapon high to block this thunderous strike—

Boom!

In a massive muffled thud, a clay golem soared into the air from the impact.

The frost mist had expanded. I could rush in to support…

Bang!

As ice pillars erupted beneath my feet, my petite form leaped high, soaring over the battleground where knights and heretics clashed. I stepped on the icy platforms, gliding through the air as though I were jumping in slow motion, trailing chilling winds towards the direction of the elite cavalry.

Riding the wind, I gained speed with my Moon Step, my silhouette becoming almost invisible to the n*ked eye as I closed the nearly thousand-meter distance in an instant. The explosive sounds of Isaac’s battle echoed clearly below, where the destruction caused by the two hulking giants had cleared everything within dozens of meters. No one dared to approach.

Not far to the south of the battlefield, the elite cavalry battled fiercely, surrounded by countless heretics. They had created a hill of corpses and rivers of bl**d around them, with divine miracles illuminating the chaos intermittently; giant beast horns tossed away charging enemies while explosive sounds rumbled continuously. Some knights fell amidst the raging flames.

Which direction should I go…

My body was falling rapidly. Just as I hesitated, a thunderous bang erupted from behind the southern enemy formation. In the next moment, a blazing scarlet fireball zipped toward me, closing in quickly. My heart raced, and I instantly raised my left hand, spitting out ice mist to the side before darting to the right. The fireball grazed my ear as it flew past with a whoosh.

It’s him!

I immediately realized that the person who attacked me, the same one who had ambushed me on the wall, was most likely the same—such infernal fire power meant he was a genuine Phase Three heretic!

Maybe even the Jester…

My body continued to plummet through the air, with the howling wind in my ears. Squinting, I quickly scanned the crowd below, soon spotting a suspicious figure in black, surrounded and supported by heretics at the back of their formation.

He raised his head, eyes like a hawk, fixated on me with what seemed like a sinister smile curling at the corners of his lips.

… Found you.

“Jester—”

The ice platform solidified, and with a swift Moon Step, a powerful yet delicate shout rang out from mid-air. My skirt flared out as I rose twenty-some meters above the ground, then transformed into a stunning cannonball, carrying a rush of cold air, diving straight into the depths of the enemy formation!
