### Chapter 78 “Mo Rabbit?”
As time passed, the individual performances of the theater group members began to unfold.
Their incredible performing techniques brought joy and amusement to the audience, who found themselves increasingly engrossed and entertained.
Of course, there was no solo performance by the group leader.
The final act was finally the main event—stage theater.
This was an ensemble performance by all the group members.
Under the control of sophisticated scripts, the actors delivered a richly epic tale to the audience, thanks to their superb acting skills.
At least, with the support of the stage design and the lighting effects provided by the announcer, the performance was a resounding success for those watching.
Combined with such skilled performances, it wasn’t long before the audience was completely immersed in the story.
Many people even forgot about the delicious food they held in their hands.
Finally, the stage drama concluded perfectly.
Seeing this, Yi Xing knew his cue to come on stage.
The playwright and announcer nearby also stepped forward with him, and along with other group members, they thanked the audience in a fantastical and eerie manner before quickly exiting the scene.
The surrounding environment instantly returned to normal.
Many were still curious about what kind of magic had made this happen.
But after thinking thoroughly, they couldn’t figure out the secret. They could only attribute it to high-tech support provided by the organizers.
However, the organizers themselves were utterly confused about where these guys came from.
Hei Yang and others who were hidden in the crowd also realized that things had ended.
“Running off after a performance? That’s one interesting way for the Rising Sun Theater Group. I must say, their performances are quite good. At least, for this current era, they’re the clear water in a muddy stream,” remarked Hei Yang.
“I think it’s more like a mudslide,” Mo Qianmeng quietly complained.
“Perhaps so. Their grand performances really are as disastrous as a mudslide. It nearly shattered our Night Watchers’ hearts.”
After watching the performance, Hei Yang and company walked back the same way. They had already confirmed that the Rising Sun Theater Group was just putting on a regular show without causing trouble. Therefore, it was unnecessary to continue paying attention.
From then on, Hei Yang would await their next grand performance and expect the group to move to another city afterwards.
When their grand performance came to an end, someone from another city’s Night Watchers would take over.
Once the group left, Qi Yuan City would return to its normal operations, freed of worries over the troupe.
Back to reality,
Mo Qianmeng didn’t immediately head home. She spent some time wandering around the entertainment district and soon spotted what she wanted to see. She saw two familiar figures buying street snacks on the side of the road.
If she wasn’t mistaken, it should be the Audience Performer and Playwright from the Rising Sun Theater Group.
“As if she has been performing through her role just to step back into life as an ordinary person?”
Muttering to herself, she soon joined them.
Suddenly, Yi Xing noticed someone approaching and turned to realize it was Mo Qianmeng.
“Huh, hello.”
“The performance was impressive.”
“Hehe, thank you! But I didn’t participate this time; it was the efforts of the group leader and others.”
“Anyway, where is your announcer?”
“Uh, why do you ask? She has returned to the theater to rest.”
This statement was a lie.
In truth, Mo Tu would have already gone back to Yun Chang City and this outing was just a minor duty for the theater.
Yi Xing felt slightly puzzled.
Why was Mo Qianmeng asking about the announcer?
Had she somehow sensed that the announcer was actually her cousin?
Just as Yi Xing was puzzled, Mo Qianmeng softly replied, “I just want to tell her I’m not weak. She mocked me back in the battlefield, which upset me a bit.”
“Oh, I see. Then let me apologize for her. I truly am sorry.”
Yi Xing bowed in apology but inside he was fuming.
He thought, Mo Qianmeng must be Mo Tu’s cousin, right?
How could Mo Tu play such mean tricks on his own cousin based on some information advantage? That guy was so childish.
Mo Qianmeng shook her head.
“No need to apologize. Reflecting a bit, I guess I don’t need to prove anything. Just do my job.”
Pausing momentarily, she changed the subject.
“Say, can you tell me about Mo Tu’s black history? I’m very interested in having a method to counter him, or else, when he calls again, I might end up at his mercy. It’s a rather uncomfortable feeling.”
“Uh…”
This remark deepened Hei Xing’s understanding of Mo Tu’s shamelessness.
So that guy actually dares to call his own cousin? What an oddball.
It seemed nothing could change his obnoxious nature.
Regarding the announcer being Mo Tu, Hei Xing didn’t think he could reveal that.
But Mo Qianmeng wanted a method to counter him, so maybe he could share something useful.
Thinking this, Hei Xing beckoned Mo Qianmeng closer and said in a whisper.
“If he bothers you again, just say ‘Mo Rabbit’. If that doesn’t work, come and tell me.”
Hearing this, Mo Qianmeng pondered.
“Will it really work?”
“Mhmm, it should. Try it out.”
Under Hei Xing’s expectant gaze, Mo Qianmeng reluctantly took out her communication device to call Mo Tu in Yun Chang City.
The phone was quickly answered with a casual voice.
“Hey, my darling cousin, what’s up?”
Mo Qianmeng hesitated for a moment and tentatively said.
“Mo Rabbit?”
…
Immediately, the line fell silent.
Before Mo Qianmeng could finish, Mo Tu swiftly hung up, leaving a busy tone.
“What the…”
Mo Qianmeng was stunned.
She hadn’t seen Mo Tu hang up the phone so clumsily before. It was like he left the battlefield in full panic and retreated.
Preparing to call back, she discovered the line was disconnected or she had been blocked.
“Terrifying…”
Her world view was shattered.
She never imagined “Mo Rabbit” would possess such potent power!
It was surprising enough that it could make Mo Tu retreat in disorder; what kind of mechanism was behind this?
Upto this point, Mo Qianmeng couldn’t fathom what could frighten Mo Tu.
Merely three insignificant words, if combined as full black history, what scene would that create?
With this in mind, Mo Qianmeng grew eager.
“What other secrets? I want to know more.”
“That’s…”
Seeing the sparkle in Mo Qianmeng’s eyes, Hei Xing knew that she was pleased with the information thus far shared.
If she were to get more details, she might turn around and vent her frustrations on Mo Tu, seeking retribution for past bullies.
He shuddered at the thought.
Hei Xing figured since Mo Tu was the announcer for the Rising Sun Theater Group, revealing too much would be overkill. Instead, he diplomatically declined her request.
“I regret to say it’s too early to divulge everything; when the time comes, I will tell you more.”
“Thank you, Audience Performer.”
“Sure, you’re welcome.”
