I Come From the Abyss to Save Humanity Today – Chapter 1088

Chapter 171: From the Abyss, I Will Save Humanity Today (Part 2)

In the consciousness sea, within the interior of the Holy Tree, the Land of Dragons began to bubble over with black energy. From a distance, on the mountainside, the straining roar of the white dragon echoed.

“ROOOAAARRR—”

The chaotic power in the air surged, and as the key to this world, the dragon known as Big White was starting to feel overwhelmed. The deadlands, previously held back by a golden-white storm, began to spread again, gushing black sludge that bubbled and overflowed. At that moment, surrounding fairies started to murmur.

Emerald light radiated from them, flowing into the earth beneath their feet. Walls formed of vines shot up instantaneously, blocking the path of the boiling abyss mud. As the black muck met the robust natural stems, green leaves turned black, sizzling as if they were cooking.

“ROAR!!!”

The dragon let out another thunderous cry, seemingly aware that the black “sun” hovering in midair was about to determine the fate of both the inside and outside worlds. It pushed its strength to the limit, its eyes glowing with a fierce white light, and the next instant, an array of dragon roars began to reverberate across the land.

Each roar was unique, reverberating through the entire Land of Dragons—no, the whole world shook as mountains crumbled and the ground churned, while the fairies swayed, looking up.

In the distant view, countless “mountains” seemed to come alive and sway. These were the ancient dragons, sealed away for ages, but now, the curse over the dragon land was being gradually eradicated under the divine power of the remains of the Ancient Deity, awakening those dragons, long entrenched in slumber, at long last.

“ROOOAAARRR—!!!”

The awakening dragons raised their mighty heads, responding to the white dragon’s call, their colossal bodies emerging from the collapsed rocks, their ethereal roars echoing into the heavens.

“Rabishixemos…”

From somewhere deep in the abyss, a voice as profound as a bell blended into the resounding dragon cries.

“Why have you imprisoned my kin? Why have you slaughtered my kin? Why deceive us so egregiously? Despicable liars, you have no right to be called gods.”

That voice conveyed a sorrowful lament of injustice, mixed with anger from betrayal and folly, awakening the dragons’ memories from a millennium ago. Their roars intensified, sounding monstrous and powerful, accompanied by howling winds sweeping toward the peaks and the ground. One particularly large green dragon suddenly opened its mouth, a massive pillar of energy erupting forth, glowing fiercely as it shot towards the black sun in the sky!

Simultaneously, the green and blue dragons radiated a soft green glow, spreading across the land beneath them, sprouting a vibrant sea of flowers and massive trees. A dense forest sprang up like bamboo after a rainstorm, engulfing the area once tainted black by the abyss mud and compressing it slowly.

BOOM—!!

The red dragon’s energy pillar struck the black sphere, a tremendous explosion engulfing half the sky. The thunderous blast caused the fairies to instinctively cover their ears and cower. In the near distance, the woodland continued to grow, some trees towering hundreds of meters high, reaching out like living entities, extending thick branches toward the black sphere, pressing down the Dead Smoke, completely enveloping the suspended mass.

The sea of consciousness was in turmoil.

The energy surged more violently, and amidst the intense shaking, the girl found herself clenched in a giant hand. She suddenly widened her eyes, a golden brilliance flashing through her pupils!

She sensed the tremendous power seeping in from outside, quickly consuming the chaotic fire’s ocean, relieving the pressure the mad god had imposed upon her. Seizing the moment, she steeled herself to strike back.

“AHHHHH—!!”

She shouted with all her might, releasing the energy of sin as much as possible!

The red firestorm, pushed to its breaking point, suddenly surged hundreds of meters high, shattering the illusion of the mad god before her, pulverizing the hand that held her captive. The bl**d-red tongues of fire roared defiantly, thrusting back into the dark inferno, pushing the already-approaching malevolent flames far away.

“‘Abyssal Language’ Dragon Clan…”

In a daze, the girl heard the elusive voice of the mad god, tinged with reluctance and rage, as if incredulous.

“‘Abyssal Language’ The will of the Fire Seed shall subdue; the Deity Body shall be made instantly. You lowly servants of the Holy Tree should all submit to me…”

Before she could finish her cryptic abyssal tongue—one might as well call it ‘Gidales Language’—the mad god unexpectedly switched to human language, and as she spoke, a golden eye opened on the pulsing mass.

“But you are only part of my will. If I perish, you shall also be extinguished.”

“Embrace me, you will become the one true god of this world, eternal for eons.”

“We have all the time to correct the shattered order of this world, to cleanse it of all impurities, and mold it as you wish. This is the divine right, and the eternal responsibility of a deity.”

“I believe I understand the species known as ‘human’ well enough. If your will is still bound within the human realm, then choosing to eliminate or merge with me should be a no-brainer for you; human nature will guide you to firmly choose the latter.”

“Thus, I do not understand why you, desiring to be a god of mere ants, would make that sacrificial choice only they could understand… Or perhaps, even at such a steep cost, you are resolved to become the god of those ants instead of the world’s?”

Faced with the mad god’s words, the girl fell silent for a moment, gazing at that mass, and slowly responded.

“They are not ants.”

She said, pausing, “And you, do not truly grasp the essence of humanity. You have no right to dictate their fate, or the fate of this world. You are not a god; you are merely a demon twisted by hatred, desperate to annihilate the world.”

“And I do not wish to become the god of humanity. I just want to protect those I care about, to see them live well, to exist in a peaceful world, loving their loved ones, doing what they desire.”

“… Just that?” the mad god said.

“Just that.” The girl nodded gently, “I know you cannot understand… Fine, cling to your misunderstanding and vanish from this world. Let humanity correct its own mistakes; this world doesn’t need a ‘god’ like you.”

BOOM—

The scarlet fire leapt in view, engulfing the black flames as it surged toward the writhing mass. The golden eye said nothing further, staring at her until it slowly closed, turning to ash, the confusion in it never fading for even a moment.

RUMBLE…

The high walls of the Holy City collapsed under the dust.

Above in the sky, the queen named Elizabeth’s armor cracked, symbols of kingship long fallen. Her disheveled golden hair draped over her shoulders, and she looked pale and powerless at the massive monster stomping into the city.

Within the ruins, the Sacred Maiden, drained of faith power, wobbled, nearly falling. She supported herself against the wall as her dull golden glow utterly faded.

Outside the Holy Wall, the already-defeated Holy Angel Fortress had ceased the desperate screams of rebellion, and the atmosphere was thick with despair. Countless bodies of the self-slain lay strewn along the shattered road.

The bridge leading into the Holy City had been severed, littered with broken swords and twisted helmets. The remaining Shanter Army soldiers guarding the bridge roared their defiance, holding torches under the command of Count Lafael, ready to ignite barrels of explosives piled nearby.

At that very moment.

Suddenly, a massive buzzing echoed behind them. Before they could turn to check, a blinding white light erupted from the colossal Holy Tree at the center of the city. In an instant, the surrounding black mist dissipated over dozens of kilometers. Squinting, Lafael was astonished to see those monsters suddenly go quiet, standing motionless.

“ROOOAAARRR—!!!”

Just as the light that engulfed the world began to fade, everyone heard a resounding, mighty dragon roar from above.
