Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You – Chapter 9

Chapter 10: Mommy is a Bad Dragon

So, what about Dad?

In the evening, Leon dragged his exhausted body back to the room.

He was so tired he couldn’t even muster the energy to change his shoes. He walked straight into the bedroom and flopped onto the bed.

A moment later, he heard the sound of the door lock, and high heels clicked against the floor as someone slowly walked in.

Leon knew it was Roswiser, but he couldn’t be bothered to get up and take a look.

Today, he finally saw the true nature of this Mother Dragon: obsessive, extreme, and cunning.

As if it wasn’t enough to make Leon play babysitter, she also made him drag his worn-out self to keep the hyper little Moon entertained all day long.

Seriously, sis…

Just two days ago, I was a human vegetable lying in bed, and now you expect me to play all day with a little dragon girl who has more energy than a husky?

You seriously want me to kick the bucket sooner, don’t you?

Leon grumbled internally, while Roswiser approached the bedside.

“Are you dead?” the Queen asked coldly.

Leon kept his eyes shut and didn’t respond.

“I’m asking you a question! Are you dead?”

With that, she lifted her foot and gave Leon’s leg a light kick.

Leon kicked back a couple of times to signal he was still alive.

“Great! Your vitality is stronger than I thought.”

“Oh, so funny, Your Majesty,” Leon grunted.

Roswiser didn’t reply; instead, she leaned over and gently placed the already-sleeping Moon at Leon’s pillow.

Leon caught a whiff of the little dragon girl’s unique milky scent. He opened his eyes to see her cherubic face only a few centimeters from his nose.

Moon had her eyes slightly closed, her little pink fists softly clenched, looking a bit tired but with a slight smile at the corners of her mouth.

“She hasn’t been this happy in a long time.”

Roswiser sat down on the edge of the bed, her back to Leon and Moon.

Moonlight streamed in through the window, bathing the soft bed in a gentle glow.

The room was quiet, only Moon’s even breaths could be heard.

Leon lay on the bed, stealthily shifting his gaze from the little dragon to Roswiser’s back.

She still wore her homey spaghetti strap dress, her long hair flowing like a galaxy.

As a queen, she, too, appeared soaked in fatigue, much like Leon.

But Leon didn’t plan on showing concern, just teasingly remarked,

“With the elite education from your dragon race, it’s no wonder the little ones aren’t having fun.”

In response to Leon’s sarcasm, Roswiser merely snorted, “We dragons have all been through this. Only this way can we nurture strong warriors.”

“But she’s not a warrior; she’s just a child.”

“I don’t want to argue about this, Leon. I know how to raise kids. You just need to obediently play with her; that’s all you need to worry about.”

Leon rolled his eyes.

After a moment of silence, Roswiser said, “My sister will be visiting tomorrow.”

“Your sister?”

“Mm, she’s the Queen of the Red Dragon Race.”

Roswiser continued, “She’s probably coming to discuss some internal dragon affairs and visit me. So tomorrow, you can only stay in the room and play with Moon. No going outside, got it?”

Leon’s mind started to churn, then he scoffed, pulling his gaze from Roswiser’s back to Moon.

He reached out and gently stroked Moon’s hair, saying, “Understood. It’s just too embarrassing for you, the Silver Dragon Queen, to be seen with a human.”

“No, to outsiders, you’re a very suitable dragon for marriage. You just think it’s bothersome, so you keep your tail between your legs.”

Hearing this, Leon bolted upright from the bed. “What did you say—”

“Shh~ Moon is still sleeping.”

Leon glanced at Moon, then lowered his voice. “What do you mean? You’re telling everyone I’m a dragon too?”

“Of course! I need everyone to believe that you, me, and our daughter are a happy family. And you, Leon Casmod, are a dragon who married into the Silver Dragon Race and have been in a coma for two years due to some illness, just waking up these last couple of days.”

Roswiser grinned wickedly. “What do you think? I’m pretty good at story-making, right?”

“Good at story-making, my foot…”

“What? Not satisfied?”

“Do I have the power to be dissatisfied right now?” Leon retorted.

Roswiser snorted, “No.”

Leon waved his hand and flopped back onto the bed.

He closed his eyes, trying to digest his new identity.

A dragon suitable for marriage, who hates dragging his tail, has married into the Silver Dragon Race, and has been in a coma for two years due to illness—what a well-constructed facade with no loopholes at all.

If Leon weren’t a Dragon Slayer, he’d almost want to compliment Roswiser:

You did good, Roswiser.

“Well, since you’ve created a whole new identity for me, why can’t I meet your family?”

“You said it yourself, it’s a fabricated identity. It can’t be without flaws. My sister is clever; I’m afraid she’ll catch on.”

Roswiser continued, “Anyway, remember, don’t show yourself tomorrow. If it comes to a point where you can’t avoid it, you have to act normal. Put away your Dragon Slayer beliefs, got it?”

Leon didn’t respond right away; instead, he started plotting in his head.

Roswiser had just said her sister was coming to discuss dragon internal matters, which might be similar to periodic audits in human society?

Leon bit his lip and asked, “Is your sister’s visit important?”

Roswiser frowned. “If you dare make trouble, don’t blame me for being rude.”

“Do you think you’re being nice to me now?”

Roswiser shot him a glare and then stood up, heading toward the bedroom door.

As she reached the entrance, Roswiser said softly, “Take good care of Moon tomorrow. Don’t step out of this room, and don’t cause me trouble.”

Click—

The door lock clicked again, and the sound of high heels slowly faded away.

Leon breathed a sigh of relief and muttered, “Still a vain Mother Dragon, putting on such a show with a fake family. What’s the point?”

Yet Leon could probably guess how Roswiser would answer that:

For revenge.

She kept the defeated Leon by her side, stripped away his dignity and pride, and gave him a dragon identity, all to make him pay.

Since Leon had tarnished Roswiser’s honor, she wanted to return the humiliation in kind.

Unfortunately, this extreme method of revenge couldn’t be made public.

It had to be hidden behind a fabricated family.

Indeed, the dragon race’s revenge was something a human like Leon couldn’t grasp.

But understanding or not, he still had to mess with Roswiser a little.

After all, she said it herself—she wouldn’t let him off easily.

Leon was secretly crunching numbers in his head, already plotting how to give that cunning Mother Dragon a taste of her own medicine tomorrow.

That would definitely be a social coffin for her!

“Mmm—”

Moon let out a small murmur beside him, curling her little body up and bringing her tail over to cover her waist.

Seeing this, Leon hurriedly pulled up the blanket and covered Moon.

Moon snuggled into the soft quilt, instinctively seeking warmth, and nestled closer to Leon.

She gently tugged at Leon’s shirt, mumbling in her sleep, “Daddy… Moon likes playing with Daddy… mmm~ Mommy never plays with Moon… let’s take Mommy next time, too…”

Wow.

You don’t take your daughter to play, and yet she dreams of you.

Roswiser, you have no heart!

“Mommy is a bad dragon; let’s not play with Mommy, okay?” Leon decided to take this opportunity to brainwash the little dragon girl.

“Mommy… is… a bad dragon…”

“Yep, yep, Mommy is a bad dragon, super bad,” Leon added fuel to the fire.

“Then… then…”

Half-awake, the little dragon girl snuggled into Leon’s embrace again,

“Then Daddy should be a bad dragon too~”

Great.

Brainwashing failed—time to rethink the strategy!
