89 Report! Master has found them!
—
Knock, knock, knock!
“Dad, Mom, it’s time to get up! The sun is shining on your butts and tails!”
Knock, knock, knock—
Moon had been knocking on the door for quite a few times already.
But there was no response from inside.
The little dragon girl scratched her head, looking confusedly at Noia, “Sister, what’s going on…? Are they really still sleeping?”
Noia crossed her arms, resting her chin on her fist, deep in thought, “Based on their pattern of someone being exhausted every so often, who do you think it’s time for this time?”
Moon thought for a moment and said, “Last time, it was when you went to school. That morning Dad said he stayed up late doing homework, which is why he was tired.”
Noia nodded, analyzing logically, “Then it should be Mom’s turn this time.”
Moon squished her little face, “But even if it’s Mom’s turn to not get up, what about Dad? He’s missing too! Sister, do we need to prepare tributes for Dad again? I want to eat steak this time.”
Noia raised her hand to hold her sister’s wrist and then took her hand, “It’s okay, even if they don’t get up, I can still take you to play.”
“Really, Sister?”
“Yeah, let’s go.”
“Yay~”
The two little dragon girls held hands and bounced out of the castle.
Meanwhile, in the suite, after what felt like ages, Leon finally stirred awake.
His brain was starting up slowly, and he could feel the aches in his limbs.
But thankfully, Leon was used to this feeling.
He slowly sat up, rubbed his temples, and the memories of last night began flooding back.
“Ugh… how did the two of them end up crashing together? Looks like our no-challenge challenge was a fail.”
He glanced to the side and saw Roswiser curled up comfortably in bed, looking incredibly snug.
But the strawberry marks on her neck and chest unmistakably indicated: she had a much nicer night.
Looking at Roswiser’s peaceful face, his eyes landed on her lips, and Leon couldn’t help but blush.
Last night… he and Roswiser truly had their first kiss—if we don’t count the bloodthirsty makeout session, that is.
Thinking back to how they got carried away kissing… Leon wanted to slap himself.
What was the point of concocting that ridiculous no-challenge challenge?
Now look where it got him, things got out of hand, and it just got awkward.
Now his “Captive’s Suffering Memoir” had to add a new chapter: “Kissing a Dragon.”
But then again, it was quite the sight that a couple with kids running around had just exchanged their first kiss.
Aside from the cringe-worthy awkwardness, there was also a level of abstract confusion that was hard to bear.
Leon rested in bed for a moment, then gently threw off the covers and got out of bed.
He went to wash up, quickly freshened himself, and stood in front of the mirror, checking the Dragon Pattern on his chest.
The Dragon Pattern had calmed down; there were no wild reactions.
Leon secretly sighed in relief, muttering, “You really messed me up.”
As he stepped out of the bathroom, Roswiser had already gotten dressed and was sitting at the vanity doing her hair.
Leon blinked, gently closed the bathroom door.
Neither of the couple initiated a conversation.
Roswiser silently styled her hair while Leon moved to the bedside, opened his suitcase, and pulled out clean clothes.
After he changed, Roswiser finished with her makeup.
They both looked at each other at the same time, but after one glance, they hurriedly looked away.
It seemed last night’s initial kiss had a definite effect on Roswiser too.
She didn’t tease Leon or pretend nothing happened; her embarrassment and confusion mirrored his own.
Last night, she had finally kissed the Dragon Slayer.
Wait a minute.
Why did it seem like “finally”?
As if she had longed to kiss Leon!
This was all the fault of the Dragon Pattern!
Leon ran a hand through his hair, “Should we… go find Noia and Moon to hang out?”
Roswiser licked her lips, looking down at her shoes and nervously rubbing her fingers, “Mm, okay.”
The couple arrived at the sisters’ room and knocked but received no response.
“Did they run off to play by themselves?”
Leon remarked, “It’s already past ten in the morning.”
“Must be, let’s go look for them.”
“Sure.”
They weren’t too worried about the girls getting in danger; after all, Noia was with them, and besides, this was a top-notch vacation spot—definitely no young dragon traffickers or other bizarre characters lurking around.
Once outside the castle, the sun was shining bright, just like yesterday, fresh and beautiful.
A few squirrels darted past Roswiser’s feet. She turned to see where they came from, and not far off, Moon was standing on the steps, camera in hand, seemingly trying to capture a picture of a couple in front of her.
Noia was watching nearby, so there didn’t seem to be any danger.
Leon and Roswiser exchanged glances, nodded at each other, and then strolled over.
“Noia, Moon,” Leon called their names.
The two little ones turned around, and Moon waved the camera in her hand, cheerfully announcing, “Good morning, Dad and Mom~ I’m helping Aunt Yuna and Uncle Zai take pictures~”
Yuna, Zai…
Leon’s gaze fell on the dragon couple, they fit the description just right.
The pair looked polite and impressive—
Oh, not too surprising, as most people vacationing at Flowing Cloud Valley were probably of this sort.
The couple walked closer, and Roswiser extended her hand, introducing themselves, “Hello to both of you, we are the parents of these two children. I’m Roswiser Melkway, and this is my husband, Leon.”
Yuna immediately shook Roswiser’s hand, smiling back, “I’m Yuna, and this is my husband Zai. We’re on our honeymoon. The scenery here is lovely; we wanted to snap a few photos when these little treasures passed by, so we asked for their help.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Moon hopped down the steps, holding up the camera, and projected the images for Leon and Roswiser to see, “Look, Dad and Mom, how did I do?”
“Of course, our little treasure takes the best pictures ever!” Yuna squatted down, ruffling Moon’s hair.
Leon looked at the magical projection preview; although the lighting wasn’t the best, the compositions were still quite decent.
And Moon had probably used a camera only a few times before; given the results, she was already doing fantastically.
“Yuna, you’re right, Moon did great.” Leon bent down, propping himself on one knee, and pinched Moon’s baby cheeks.
Moon excitedly showed the pictures to Noia as well.
As expected, she received her sister’s praise.
The two little ones were busy snapping pictures of the scenery.
Yuna glanced at the chairs beside them and said, “Shall we sit and chat?”
“Sure.”
They all took a seat.
“Well, my husband and I initially planned to go to Sapphire Sea, but we heard there have been minor conflicts among dragons on that road recently, so we decided to come to Flowing Cloud Valley instead,” Yuna said.
“Conflicts among dragons?” Roswiser asked.
“Mm, it seems to be Constantine’s clan? I heard a while back that he wanted to expand his territory by swallowing some weaker dragon clans.”
Roswiser had indeed heard Isar mention this.
She didn’t expect Constantine to act so quickly.
Swallowing smaller, weaker clan branches was one of the primary methods for dragons to expand their territory.
The backstory she had arranged for Leon mentioned that he came from a disbanded clan and, having caught Roswiser’s eye, was brought into her Silver Dragon Race.
Yuna waved her hand, “Let’s talk about your adorable kids! My husband and I would love to have a child like that. But regarding having babies… we’re still quite puzzled. Miss Roswiser, how did you two decide to have kids?”
The dragon race was known for being passionate lovers.
Generally speaking, refusing premarital s*x was already quite pure;
But the dragons were even more innocent, as they refused to have s*xual relations before settling down.
This was due to their physiological characteristics; once they had relations for the first time, they would inevitably get pregnant, and there was no way to prevent it afterward.
Most dragons opted for cocoon reproduction, not wanting to be thrust into unexpected parenthood.
Naturally, this was also the reason why Leon was so convinced after using Bloodthirsty Charm on Roswiser, thinking “my child is already growing roots in your womb.”
So, it was entirely normal for newlyweds like Yuna and Zai, who had a plan to have kids, to find the idea of “having a baby” somewhat perplexing.
Now that they finally found Leon and Roswiser, they were ready to seek some solid advice.
Unfortunately… while the newlywed couple had wonderful intentions, they had chosen the wrong role models.
The two “seniors” sitting here had two kids already, but would they believe that they only just lost their initial kiss last night?
“How did we decide to have kids…”
Roswiser felt awkward; the past was hard to reflect on.
She bit her lip, choosing her words carefully, “Actually… um, it was my husband who said he wanted to be a dad, and I just… didn’t think much and agreed.”
High EQ: I didn’t think much at the time.
Low EQ: I was under the Bloodthirsty Charm; I didn’t even have the chance to think!
Leon silently facepalmed.
While it sounded odd, that was indeed the case, and he had no legs to stand on to refute it.
“Such things, they come naturally; there’s no need to force yourself or the other person, nor should you feel anxious about it. Just let it happen naturally.” Leon chimed in, promptly helping Roswiser out.
Roswiser instantly let out a sigh of relief.
Yuna and Zai both nodded thoughtfully.
It was clear that Yuna adored children.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have addressed Moon so affectionately as “little treasure” just now.
One could only wish the couple good luck in having their own little dragon soon.
After chatting for a while, Zai voiced another concern he had, “Actually, Yuna and I have been together for many years and know each other well before we decided to marry. But sometimes, she can be a bit too strong-willed, and she knows it herself; we often argued because of this before marriage.”
Zai turned to Leon, “Leon, may I ask if you have any tips for dealing with such issues?”
Leon straightened up, adopting a serious expression, “Mr. Zai, I’m sorry, but my wife Roswiser is the type that enjoys being dependent. Don’t let her height or cold look fool you; she often likes to act cute and playful, so I may not have the answer for you.”
Now it was Roswiser’s turn to facepalm.
Yes, yes, I’m dependent, I act cute, I don’t argue with you.
Zai’s eyes flickered with disappointment, “Oh, is that so…”
“However.”
Leon continued with a straight face,
“No matter how strong-willed a woman may be, she will still show her softer side. Whenever that happens, no matter what kind of person you usually are, you should stand up and firmly support your wife. I believe… that’s what a responsible man should do.”
Roswiser silently watched Leon, recalling how he had stood up for her and Noia when that Red Flame Dragon guy was about to point fingers and berate them.
Perhaps in Leon’s view, family and relationship dynamics weren’t that complicated—they were all built on a foundation called “responsibility,” layer by layer.
Leon was that kind of pure and responsible man.
“Thank you, Leon, for your guidance.” Zai nodded in thanks.
Leon waved his hand, “No need for thanks.”
They continued to chat for a little while until Moon and Noia returned, running and returning the camera to Zai and Yuna.
“Well then, until next time,” Yuna said.
“Until next time.”
“Aunt Yuna, goodbye! Uncle Zai, goodbye~” Moon waved her hand.
“Goodbye, little ones.” Noia added politely.
“See you two later~”
Yuna waved as she tucked her arm under Zai’s and walked away.
The newlyweds were chatting and joking together, occasionally bumping shoulders playfully.
Leon and Roswiser watched this scene, feeling inexplicably as if they were looking in a mirror.
With that thought, the couple turned to each other and then quickly looked away again.
There was still some… uncertainty on how to face each other.
—
After their week-long hot springs vacation, life returned to normal.
But it seemed like the couple had been intentionally avoiding each other since they returned.
Roswiser even skipped her usual “every three days” routine.
Last night’s chaos and the loss of their initial kiss had cast a subtle shadow on their minds.
That night, Roswiser stood on the balcony, sipping wine and enjoying the breeze.
Suddenly, she heard a sound behind her.
“Your Majesty, we have news,” Sherry said.
Roswiser turned around, “Did you find Taige and his wife?”
“I did.”
Roswiser’s eyes brightened, quickly asking, “What’s the situation?”
“They’ve left the Empire now. I stumbled upon their hiding place while circling around the Empire’s outskirts. It’s hard to spot that place without flight capabilities.”
“Hard to spot without flight capabilities… How did he and his wife get up there then?”
Sherry shook her head, swallowing hard, her expression slightly unusual.
Roswiser stepped closer, placing a reassuring hand on Sherry’s shoulder, “Don’t rush, take your time.”
Sherry adjusted her emotions and continued, “Your Majesty, I can sense… that human named Taige… is very strong, strong enough to be in a different league from other Dragon Slayers. He could easily have killed me once he spotted me.”
Hearing this, Roswiser couldn’t help but marvel; Leon’s master truly was not just an ordinary farmer as he claimed.
“But after noticing that I was from the Silver Dragon Race, he didn’t take action and even said…”
“Say what?”
“He wants to meet you.”
