Chapter 138: Married, Cohabitating, With Kids but Single
After dinner, the two little dragon girls helped Leon with the move.
Honestly, he didn’t have much to move; he came here with the sole purpose of conquering the Silver Dragon Temple. No one told him he’d be “settling down” here!
His clothes and daily necessities were mostly bought for him by Roswiser. The most valuable item was his Black Gold Battle Armor, but that was currently locked away in Roswiser’s warehouse.
Other than that, there wasn’t much else.
The daughters each carried two storage boxes as they walked out of the nursery, one in front and one behind.
Once they were confirmed to have left, Leon turned to Roswiser.
“You told me last night not to enter your room after seven, but now we’re going to cohabitate! Ah, life, every day is full of surprises.”
Roswiser crossed her arms and shot him a glance, clearly aware he was teasing her, but fortunately, the queen had mastered the art of countering.
“Agreeing to cohabitate doesn’t mean much. I just didn’t want to disappoint the daughters. But you—”
Leon raised an eyebrow. “Me? What about me?”
“Humph! You look quite pleased. Do you really enjoy sleeping in the same room as me?”
“Not really, average dragon. I’m only doing it for the sake of the daughters.”
As expected, regardless of the situation, the daughters were always the shield for this clueless couple.
After their light banter, Leon grabbed a storage box, opened the desk drawer, and stuffed a few books and the letter his master had given him inside.
Oh, of course, he also included that toy bear on the desk, a gift from Roswiser when they were in Flowing Cloud Valley.
Once everything was packed, he and Roswiser stood at the door, glancing around the not-so-big nursery.
Ah—
Having lived here for so long, suddenly moving, and he felt a bit reluctant.
After all, many “memorable” moments had occurred in this nursery.
What was that saying again?
Small house, big myths!
After a moment of reflection, the two exited the nursery and locked the door.
When they returned to Roswiser’s room, the two little ones had volunteered to start preparing for Mom and Dad’s cohabitation life.
First up was clothes, after all, they’d be sharing a wardrobe now.
They stood in front of the big wardrobe, discussing where this item should hang and where that one should go.
The couple silently watched this scene unfold without intervening, letting the girls handle it on their own.
The intention was to respect their ideas and cultivate their sense of independence, but when Moon started rummaging through the wardrobe, Roswiser’s expression suddenly changed.
Leon quickly caught on. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s bad… Moon, wait—”
But it was too late.
Moon turned around holding a black strapless bodysuit in one hand and a black stocking in the other, asking blankly, “Mom, is this a new style of pajamas?”
Leon glanced at the clothes in his daughter’s hands and suddenly understood what they were.
Well… from a certain perspective, they were indeed pajamas—
Clothes worn for sleeping, of course, are pajamas!
Roswiser forced a laugh, quickly walked over, snatched the bunny girl outfit from Moon’s hands, and hid it behind her. “N-Nothing! Just some old clothes I planned to toss out.”
Moon nodded, turning back to continue hanging clothes with her sister.
Leon stepped closer, slightly tilted his body, and whispered into Roswiser’s ear, “That bunny girl thing was a while ago, wasn’t it?”
Roswiser shot him a glare. “What are you trying to say?”
Leon shrugged, nodding toward the bunny girl costume in her hands. “If you really wanted to throw it away, would it still be here? Tsk, Mother Dragon, you’re not still hung up on that bunny girl play, are you?”
“If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll shove these stockings in your mouth,” Roswiser threatened, gritting her teeth.
Leon withdrew his head, raising his hand near his mouth as if to zip it shut.
As they continued rummaging, Noia suddenly turned around holding a strange uniform.
“Mom, is this also a new style of pajamas?”
The eldest daughter was holding a pure white uniform with a red cross on it.
This time, Leon was at a loss for words while Roswiser struggled to suppress a laugh.
“Uh, just put that aside. Mom might…”
She glanced at the Dragon Slayer next to her, who just happened to be looking at her. Their eyes met briefly, and Roswiser let out a huff, quickly shifting her gaze back and adding meaningfully, “Might even ~need~ it ~later~.”
“Oh, sure,” Noia replied, nodding decisively, turning back to neatly fold the nurse’s outfit.
Roswiser glanced back at Leon and stuck her tongue out at him, making a silly face.
Leon rolled his eyes at her, hands in his pockets, and fell silent.
The daughters continued organizing the wardrobe.
The couple couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous, thinking, they surely wouldn’t dig up any other play props, right?
Like a little riding crop, high heels, or blindfolds…
“Wow!!”
Moon exclaimed, and both parents felt their hearts leap into their throats.
Please, let it not be something too scandalous!
“It’s couple pajamas!”
The sisters turned around, each holding a piece of sleepwear.
The pajamas were identical in style, except Noia had the pink set and Moon had the blue one.
Seeing this, the couple sighed in relief.
They had bought those couple pajamas during a date in Sky City for Noia’s essay on “Parental Love.”
But they’d never worn them.
What couple pajamas? To them, those were prison clothes!
Not wearing them, not even if they had to!
But someone had other thoughts.
“Daddy, Mommy, now that you’re cohabitating, does that mean you’ll wear these couple pajamas every day?” Moon asked excitedly.
Roswiser responded, “Uh… sure, yeah.”
“Awesome~”
Moon expressed her enthusiasm.
However, Noia felt their parents were just messing with them.
After all, she remembered they bought those pajamas when she was writing her essay, which was a long time ago.
And since then, they’d just been sitting in mommy’s wardrobe untouched, with the tag still on! This suggested they’d never worn them.
So, it was highly unlikely they would put them on just because they went from separate rooms to cohabitating.
Noia’s clever eyes darted around, hatching a plan.
But instead of directly suggesting to her parents to wear those pajamas, she quietly tucked them away.
After finishing tidying Leon’s clothes and daily necessities, just as the couple was about to breathe a sigh of relief, Noia suddenly asked,
“Mommy, Daddy, you’ll keep cohabitating forever, right?”
The couple froze, glancing at each other, unsure why Noia was asking that.
But Leon nodded. “Yeah, Mom and I will always live together, to take care of her.”
Noia appeared contemplative. “Okay, I see.”
With that, she took her sister’s hand. “Then, Moon and I won’t disturb Mommy and Daddy’s cohabitation life! Goodnight~”
“Goodnight, Mommy and Daddy!”
After the two little ones said their goodnights, they hand-in-hand scampered out of Roswiser’s room.
Leon was baffled. “What did she mean by that?”
Roswiser frowned slightly. “I don’t know… Noia’s thoughts are always a puzzle for me. Well, anyway, we’ve fulfilled our daughters’ wish and moved in together, so—”
Roswiser turned around, pointing at the couch. “Starting today, that will be your bed.”
Does cohabitating mean you have to sleep on the same bed?
In such a big room, there are plenty of places to sleep!
There’s always a way around difficulties!
Leon guessed Roswiser would make him sleep on the couch after cohabitating.
No big deal, let him sleep; as if he was dying to share a bed with Roswiser!
Just the thought of it gives him nightmares!
But, adhering to the principle of “not easily letting that Mother Dragon have her way,” Leon remarked, “But the daughters said I need to take care of you! If we don’t sleep together, how can I do that?”
“Not that I need you to take care of me!”
“That might be true, but what if you suddenly want a glass of water in the middle of the night, or need to use the bathroom, and you wake up to… a spider or something… tsk, tsk, tsk~”
“Shut up! My Silver Dragon Temple can’t possibly have a spider! And even if it did, I… I wouldn’t let you on my bed!” She didn’t sound too convinced when she said that.
“Ho ho ho, so it seems in your mind, I’m even more detestable than a spider.”
“Absolutely!”
“Oh, so… you’re admitting I matter in your heart?”
“That’s the cringiest line ever, Casmod! You really don’t gross me out at all.”
Well, their playful banter was indeed a great start to their cohabitation.
After some back-and-forth, Leon walked over to the edge of the bed, grabbed his blanket, and tossed it onto the couch.
He then placed the toy bear on the back of the couch.
And just like that, the “married, cohabitating, with kids but single” man’s little nook was complete.
Roswiser glanced at him but didn’t say anything, heading straight to bed, pulling back the covers, and lying down.
The night deepened, the moonlight danced gracefully.
The cohabitation life of the strongest Dragon Slayer and the Silver Dragon Queen officially began this very night.
