23 Ah Wah Ah Wah
“Hey hey, did you see? Her Majesty and His Royal Highness are working together over there!”
“Wow, really! I’ve never seen them sit together on the throne before.”
“Looks like we need to hire a craftsman to make a bigger throne!”
“When did this start? This morning?”
“Yeah, this morning! They’ve been glued together all day! Ugh, I can’t believe I just found out before clocking out! If I’d known, I would’ve asked for a cleaning job at the Holy Temple today so I could have spied for hours!”
“……”
The maids huddled in a corner of the Silver Dragon Temple, quietly shipping this adorable couple.
The chances of the Queen and the Prince being on screen together weren’t very high. Most of the time, one was handling work in the temple while the other was in the backyard babysitting.
But today, not only had they been stuck together all day, but they were also working on tasks together.
Clearly, the relationship between Her Majesty and His Royal Highness was heating up! Getting closer!
Shippers can always automatically conjure up wild romantic dramas from a single scene.
Whether Roswiser and Leon’s relationship was genuinely warming up is up for debate, but the throne underneath them was definitely heating up.
That little maid was right—time to upgrade to a bigger throne!
The maids crowded in their corner continued to ship the couple until suddenly, they heard the Head Maid’s voice from behind.
“What are you all doing here? You’re not off duty yet.”
“Head Maid? Shhh~~~” one of the little maids made a “quiet” gesture while waving Anna over, signaling her to come closer.
Anna, confused but intrigued, walked over and followed the little maid’s pointed finger. She was soon wide-eyed in surprise.
“Are they really that close…?” Anna whispered in awe.
“Head Maid, did you not come to the Holy Temple today? Is this your first time seeing it?” the little maid asked.
“Yeah, I was out patrolling the borders today, just got back,” the Head Maid sighed, her usual stoic demeanor cracking ever so slightly, “I should have stayed in the temple today…”
At this, the little maids collectively sighed in relief.
They’d thought Anna would scold them for not taking their work seriously and just shipping the couple instead. Little did they know, the Head Maid was the captain of the shipping squad!
Shouldn’t they rename the maid group to “Miss Melkway and Mr. Casmod’s Chief Support Unit”?
Meanwhile, up on the throne, Roswiser glanced at the sun outside—almost setting.
She put away her unfinished paperwork, tidied her hair, and said, “Let’s call it a day.”
“Oh, okay.”
Both stood up together.
Just as Roswiser breathed a sigh of relief, she caught sight of the group of maids in the corner.
Seeing they had been discovered, the maids promptly disbanded at lightning speed.
Leaving only Anna, looking completely flustered.
N-no… why do you all escape so effortlessly? You must have been slacking off and shipping the couple during work hours!
“Anna.”
The Queen’s voice echoed through the vast Silver Dragon Temple.
Anna snapped back to reality, nodding slightly, and respectfully replied, “Yes, Your Majesty.”
“How did the border patrol go?”
“Very smoothly! Everything is normal on the border, and I’ll submit the patrol report tomorrow, Your Majesty.”
“Good, you can go rest now.”
“Of course, Your Majesty.”
Anna secretively sighed in relief, but just as she turned to leave, Roswiser called out to her, “Wait a moment, Anna.”
“Is there anything else, Your Majesty?” Anna asked.
Roswiser’s gaze wandered slightly, glancing at Leon beside her, then refocusing on Anna, trying her best to sound as casual as before. “His Royal Highness and I were just working together.”
Anna blinked, somewhat confused. “Um… I know, Your Majesty.”
“Really, we were just handling work.”
“Yeah… there’s no need to explain that to me, Your Majesty.”
Actually, Anna almost wanted to add a “I understand” at the end of that.
But after a moment’s hesitation, she decided against those words.
Because the Queen appeared a bit flustered, and dropping an “I understand” now would be like straight-up inviting her to blush and lose her composure.
Despite Anna’s careful considerations, Roswiser’s frosty facade was cracking.
Darn it.
She just wanted to casually explain why she and Leon were sitting together; it wasn’t like she was using work as an excuse to be all cozy with His Royal Highness. They were just working, working, and only working!
…But why does it seem like it’s backfiring?
Leon gently tugged at her sleeve from behind, lowering his voice, “Stop talking. If you keep going, your maids will concoct even more unnecessary romantic dramas.”
Roswiser sighed and gave a reluctant nod, then readjusted her demeanor, saying, “Alright. Anna, go rest. See you tomorrow.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
Anna bowed and turned to leave.
Roswiser let out a huge sigh of relief and turned to Leon, “Let’s go back. It’s time to prepare dinner for the daughters.”
“Sure.”
……
At the dinner table, Leon was feeding Little Light spoonfuls of nutritious milkshake.
The little one was getting teeth, and soon she’d be able to eat some solid foods.
While surprised at the rapid growth of their dragon daughter, Leon couldn’t resist slipping in a line, “Little Light, say ‘Daddy.’”
“Ah Wah Ah Wah~”
Yet another round of baby babble.
Leon wasn’t sure if “Ah Wah Ah Wah” meant “Daddy,” but based on the number of times she said it, it definitely didn’t.
Roswiser was leisurely eating her dinner and looked over at the father-daughter pair, “So you really want Little Light’s first word to be ‘Daddy,’ huh?”
“Tch, it’s not about whether I want it or not.”
The Queen raised an eyebrow, intrigued, “Oh really? Then what is it?”
“It’s that Little Light’s first word has to be ‘Daddy.’ It has nothing to do with what I want.”
Leon’s ridiculous confidence almost made Roswiser roll her eyes to the moon.
Dumb guy, not even realizing I’ve delayed this all day! The Queen triumphantly thought, then said,
“Just wait, Little Light’s first word will definitely be ‘Mama.’”
With that, Roswiser leaned forward, pinched Little Light’s tiny tail, and said, “Right, Little Light? Say ‘Mama,’ Ma~ma~”
And Little Light’s response remained, “Ah Wah Ah Wah~”
Alright, so it looks like in baby language, “Ah Wah Ah Wah” is neither “Daddy” nor “Mama.”
Listening to her parents bickering, Moon suddenly lifted her little head.
“Why can’t she call me ‘Sister’ first? Little Light, say ‘Sister!’”
“Ah Wah Ah Wah~”
“Mommy, is Little Light a parrot?” Moon asked seriously.
Roswiser scratched her head and laughed, “Ah ha ha, she’s probably only capable of saying that one word right now.”
The little one’s pink eyes shifted from her beautiful mom to her doting dad, then to her slightly older second sister, and finally—
“Ah Wah Ah Wah~”
