102 You’re in Trouble, You’ve Fallen in Love (Two-in-One)
In the evening, Leon leaned on the balcony railing, gazing down at the Holy Temple’s courtyard.
After Your Majesty’s impassioned speech, the Silver Dragon Race Members had reached an unprecedented enthusiasm for “having babies.”
And now, they were throwing a party in the yard.
Of course, there’s no direct correlation between wanting to have babies and throwing a party—otherwise, it would become a “Silver Party.”
They were simply celebrating the fact that the Silver Dragon clan had survived the recent crisis and, under the Queen’s leadership, were ready to rise and march toward a brighter tomorrow.
Leon’s gaze fell upon a silver-haired beauty in the courtyard.
She sparkled among the crowd, the glow of the bonfire illuminating her pretty face. She laughed, entwining arms with the Maids, dancing around the fire in a celebratory Dragon Race dance.
Her promotional plan was going smoothly, achieving initial success. Most of the clan members were slowly mustering the courage to love someone.
Just a few days ago, when Roswiser had floated the idea by Leon, he’d asked her if it was for the revival of the clan or if she genuinely felt that way.
Roswiser had thought for a moment before stating that it was a bit of both.
In the past, Roswiser wouldn’t have let her emotions interfere with her decision-making.
But after spending so much time with Leon, Roswiser was quietly changing.
She was open to new ideas and putting them into actual orders. She was also willing to ‘lead by example,’ putting her relationship with Leon in front of the clan, helping them understand what true ‘love’ actually was.
Even after fifty years of being a queen, she was still striving to improve.
What Leon admired most about her was her thirst for the unknown and her determination.
They were very similar people, aside from the fact that each of their faces was plastered onto the other’s XP; those beautiful qualities deeply attracted them to one another.
Leon pulled his gaze away and looked up at the night sky, slowly exhaling.
He couldn’t drink much, so he opted not to join the Silver Dragon’s bonfire party.
Moreover… Roswiser’s speech during the day was so ‘heartwarming’ that just thinking back on it made him feel like his toes were trying to dig into the ground out of embarrassment.
And looking at what was strewn across the yard?
All the goosebumps dropped by General Leon!
Thinking of this, Leon took a sharp breath, squinting at the Mother Dragon who was still singing and dancing, mumbling softly, “Did she really have to get all mushy? Seriously?”
He shook his head, trying to forget the scene that made him cringe, turned, and left the bedroom for Noia and the others’ sister room.
By now, it was late at night, and the children were sound asleep.
Leon just peeked in at the bedroom door, not wanting to disturb them.
After leaving the sister room, Leon headed to the hall of the Holy Temple.
Roswiser’s new throne was completed. Before the bonfire party began, she had asked Leon to wait for her here, making it all mysterious and whatnot.
Leon’s gaze fell upon the stairs leading to the brand new throne, muttering with hidden sarcasm, “Is she really going to show off her new desk?”
To phrase it nicely, that was the Queen’s throne; to put it bluntly, it was just a spot where the Queen worked.
No big deal.
After a brief hesitation, Leon stepped up the stairs next to the throne.
“Whoa, this really is much bigger than before—it could fit two people!”
As Leon said this, he carefully sat down.
The moment his backside hit the cushion—
Mmm!
He breathed out!
General Leon closed his eyes, savoring the perfect fit of his rear end into the soft cushion. In that moment, he realized, “No wonder they remodeled it. This is no throne anymore; this is a VIP lazy sofa!”
Tsk, Mother Dragon, you’ve been slacking!
As a workaholic, how can you have such a comfy workplace?
I suggest moving the throne to my bedroom while you sit on a small stool!
Leon was trying out various poses on the throne—lying sideways, lying vertically, legs up in the air, flipping over like a fish, hanging upside down, standing on one leg…
“Dude! This is awesome!”
Even the well-experienced General Leon couldn’t help but give a shout of praise.
This throne could support so many lounging positions; it was clear that the Mother Dragon had put in a fair bit of effort.
But just as he was enjoying it, Leon suddenly realized something didn’t sit right: “Hmm… wait a minute—knowing her character, she wouldn’t have just randomly built such a great throne; she’s not a consumerist!”
Leon rubbed the armrest of the throne, perplexed as to why Roswiser had gone to such lengths to refurbish this throne.
And even if it was still called a ‘throne,’ which dragon king had a throne this spacious? Spacious enough that Leon could perform a full set of military drills on it!
“Guess I’ll just wait to ask her when she gets back. If she’s truly being extravagant, I’ll have to have a good talk with her!”
Leon settled back into the throne, waiting slowly.
Time passed, and the bonfire in the yard was extinguished, the noise fading away.
Leon was starting to feel drowsy.
In a daze, he heard the sharp sound of high heels clicking against the floor behind the throne.
No need to turn around; just from the rhythm of her steps, Leon knew who had returned.
“Little Lion, my little lion, are you there?”
She hummed an unknown tune, babbling as if she had a bit too much to drink.
Leon stared straight ahead, rolling his eyes in exasperation, not intending to greet her.
Coming back so late, did she even remember she had a home?
It wasn’t until the faint scent of alcohol wafted into his nose that he lifted his head to look at her.
Roswiser’s face was slightly flushed, her eyes glazed, wearing a silly smile, and she was holding a half-finished bottle of red wine.
“Good morning!” Roswiser greeted him cheerfully.
“How much have you had…”
Roswiser took a moment to hum, as if reminiscing.
Finally, she held up two fingers.
“Two bottles and you’re like this? If you can’t handle it, don’t drink!”
“Two boxes.”
“……”
Leon silently gave her a thumbs up.
Roswiser squinted and smiled before confidently sitting on Leon’s lap.
She wasn’t some fragile little thing; as a Queen, she had the right curves for her health. When she settled on Leon’s lap, he could feel her weight quite distinctly.
“You really don’t hold back at all.”
Leon teased, but still carefully supported her waist, just in case she lost her balance while tipsy. “This is a temple; what if someone sees us?”
“It’s fine; no one will see us.”
Roswiser grinned. “I gave them all a night off. Tonight, the entire Holy Temple hall is just for us.”
Leon sighed, “So, making me wait here means… you’re not lost and need me to escort you back, are you?”
“Of course not! I remember how to get back to our room,” Roswiser puffed out her chest proudly.
Leon raised an eyebrow skeptically, “And which floor is our room on in the Holy Temple?”
“Ummmm… third floor!” Roswiser held up five fingers.
“It’s the fourth floor.”
“Ahh! I meant to say it was the fourth floor too! Yes, the fourth floor!” She dropped two fingers, leaving three.
This was clearly just nonsense!
Leon slapped his own face.
Well then.
No saving her now.
He pressed down on Roswiser’s hand, sat up straight, leaned closer to her, and said, “Put the wine down; let’s go back to sleep.”
“No way.”
“Why not? You’re already tipsy.”
“It’s just the two of us; going to sleep this early would spoil the fun!”
Leon snorted, “What fun is there between us? Let’s go back to sleep.”
“I won’t!”
Roswiser stubbornly wrapped her arms around his shoulders, her tail curling around his calf.
The sweet breath from the beauty brushed against Leon’s nose, warm and carrying a hint of red wine.
He couldn’t deny that a tipsy Roswiser was far more charming than usual.
Her flushed face, reminiscent of someone who had a wild night, was full of allure. Just a brief glance made Leon’s heart itch.
Leon couldn’t resist her and decided to wait until she sobered up a bit more before escorting her back.
She settled on Leon’s lap, her softness pressing against his chest, coming close but maintaining a teasing distance.
Her ruby lips hovered near the corners of Leon’s mouth. She knew that if she kissed him now, he wouldn’t refuse her.
Yet she held back, tempting and provoking him so that the fire between them burned even hotter.
“How was my speech today?” Roswiser asked.
“Do you want the honest answer?”
“Of course.”
“Too! Cheesy! I could practically feel the goosebumps falling all over the place.”
“How was it cheesy? Didn’t you see how much our clan supported us?”
Roswiser smiled. “That just shows our usual act has taken root in their hearts. Everyone thinks we should love each other like that. I used this to promote the revival of our birth plan. Hmph, you fool, you don’t understand anything.”
Leon’s mind stirred; he tightened his hold around Roswiser’s waist and asked, “So those things you said during your speech… were they heartfelt?”
Roswiser raised her beautiful brows.
“You think so? Of course not. I was just trying to make everyone believe in love. I had to spin it a bit more touching, right? You wouldn’t take that seriously, would you?”
“Mm, I did take it seriously. Are you going to take responsibility for me?”
At that, Roswiser suddenly sat up, a look of surprise and joy flashing across her slightly tipsy face. Then she huffed a couple of times and said, “Well, you’re done for. I won’t take responsibility. I was just saying stuff; if you took it seriously, that’s on you, not me.”
“Is that so, Roswiser?”
Leon’s hand that held her waist slowly wandered down to the base of her tail, gently stroking it with his fingertips.
Roswiser melted a little, but her words remained tough, “Of course! I don’t love you one bit… not at all.”
She leaned against Leon’s chest, her fingers gripping his shirt unconsciously.
Roswiser bit her lower lip, the alcohol swirling in her mind, brewing a strong feeling of defiance.
In the end, she gripped Leon’s collar, shot up, looked into his eyes, and resolutely denied what she just said, “I like you! What I said during the day was real—I’ve fallen in love! I’m in trouble, so what about it?”
Leon had already suspected that the little Mother Dragon was feigning indifference, and considering she had a bit to drink, spilling the truth would just be a matter of time. Therefore, he didn’t rush her.
“What are you laughing at? I’m telling you, I’m just tipsy and saying this.”
“Tomorrow morning when I’m sober, I won’t admit any of this!”
“Got it? Hey, respond!”
She playfully shoved Leon’s shoulder.
Leon still smiled faintly.
He sat up slowly, one hand still caressing the base of her tail while the other gently wrapped around her soft back.
“Say a little more for me, Melkway.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Didn’t you say that since you’re drunk now, nothing you say counts? You won’t admit to it tomorrow, so how about just saying a bit more?”
It was as easy to coax a drunk Mother Dragon as it was to coax a child.
Coincidentally, General Leon was great with the kids!
Roswiser was indeed tempted.
Turning her eyes away, her face flushed, her voice barely above a whisper, she asked, “What do you want to hear?”
“Say you want to be with me for a lifetime.”
Roswiser pouted, “No… ah~ don’t pinch my tail, you bad guy…”
She playfully pushed Leon’s hand, but her tail remained firmly held in his grasp.
“Say it. You want, to be, with me, for a lifetime.” Leon pressed on.
The flush crept all the way to the tips of the Queen’s ears.
She bit her lip, wanting to speak but too shy to open her mouth.
Being together for a lifetime or whatever… saying it out loud was still quite embarrassing, even if she was drunk!
This Dog Man was really taking advantage of her vulnerability.
“I want… I want to be with you… for a lifetime!”
After saying that, Roswiser buried her head in Leon’s neck as if hiding from someone.
She curled her toes tightly, her tail pointing straight up, finally understanding the embarrassing goosebumps Leon had felt from earlier that day.
Only after hearing Leon’s laughter did Roswiser raise her head and poke his chest.
“You satisfied?”
“Very satisfied.”
“Just make sure you enjoy these sweet moments, Leon. Tomorrow, I won’t admit any of this.”
Leon leisurely caressed her warm, flushed cheek, then slowly trailed his hand toward her neck, gently wrapping it around as he pulled her closer.
He looked into her enchanting, hazy silver eyes and softly spoke, “Then let’s make tomorrow come a little later, Melkway.”
