Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You – Chapter 350

54 Art Comes from Life

It was the weekend, and the couple headed to Saint His Academy.

Normally, their daughters spent weekends at home, but with less than a month left before the academy’s drama competition, it was time to burn the midnight oil and rehearse.

And the rehearsal space? An empty classroom at the academy.

As for why they couldn’t use their classmates’ homes, the answer was simple: rehearsing a play just wouldn’t cut it as a ‘legitimate reason’ for interaction between the Dragon Races—especially for the ‘upper echelons’ of each tribe.

Imagine if someone took that opportunity to stir up a little ‘tribal politics’?

Let’s not even get into the mess if an important member of the Dragon Race had an accident during rehearsal!

Therefore, using the academy for drama practice was undoubtedly the best and safest choice.

There weren’t many students around on the weekend.

Most of those bustling about were young dragons, busy fulfilling their graduation assignments—no time to waste!

Occasionally, young dragons strolled by, dressed in a variety of outfits.

Roswiser recognized those weren’t traditional Dragon Race garbs; they were probably costume pieces for the play.

“So, when you see Claudia, how do you plan to approach her?” Roswiser asked.

Leon casually stuffed his hands in his pockets, strolling along nonchalantly.

“I’ll just chat with her as a regular parent, of course. I can’t just walk up and say, ‘Miss Claudia, do you know Taige Lawrence? He’s my master, what’s your relationship with him?’ right?”

Roswiser stifled a laugh, covering her mouth. “If that’s your opening line, I reckon it’ll be your last one too.”

“True. The Sea Dragon Race has been in seclusion for thirty years for some reason, so they must be super wary of outsiders.”

Leon paused a moment before adding, “Considering that, it’s a miracle that Noia’s classmate Helena managed to convince Claudia to participate in the play.”

Roswiser shrugged. “That’s no miracle.”

“Then what is it?”

The queen stopped in her tracks, turned to Leon, and said, “It’s a mother’s support for her daughter.”

Leon blinked in surprise, then smirked, meeting her silver eyes. “Ever since Little Light was born, you’ve become more and more of a wife material. You even want to slap a sign on your forehead that says, ‘I’m a mom of three kids’!”

Roswiser shot him a glare, turned away, and continued with a playful kick of her feet and a swish of her tail, saying, “It’s not that exaggerated.”

“I don’t even need to look at you, Mother Dragon. You’re definitely stifling a laugh right now.”

Roswiser paused in her steps, quickly pressed her lips together.

But that brief pause gave her away.

Leon grinned triumphantly. “Ah, I miss that once aloof queen who always wanted to get back at me.”

“Hmph, if you miss her so much, I can bring her back.”

“Let’s not go there.”

With a playful shove to his arm, Roswiser giggled.

The couple chatted happily and soon reached the empty classroom Noia mentioned.

The door was open.

Leon stood at the entrance, peeking inside and noticing there were no adults and none of their sweet daughters in sight.

Only a blue-haired girl was sweeping the classroom floor.

Leon raised an eyebrow; he almost thought he’d entered the wrong classroom. He knocked on the doorframe and asked, “Excuse me, is this the rehearsal room for Noia’s group?”

At the sound, the blue-haired girl turned around.

Once they saw her face, Leon and Roswiser recognized her as Helena, the classmate Noia had brought home recently.

While blue hair is quite a standout trait among humans, it’s not so unique among dragons.

Leon had seen a plethora of hair colors during his years living here—though his favorite was still silver.

Of course, favoring silver had nothing to do with Roswiser (note for the exam: don’t let that slip!).

So, the couple hesitated before confirming it was Helena to avoid any awkward misrecognition, which was why Leon knocked.

“Uncle Leon, Aunt Roswiser, you’re here~”

Helena put down her broom and bounced over, greeting them warmly.

“Hi, Helena! Why are you alone here? Where are Noia and the others?”

“Oh, they went to prepare props and costumes. They’ll be back soon!”

“I see! You’ve even thought about props and costumes—looks like you’re well-prepared!” Roswiser said with a smile.

Helena nodded. “Mmm, Noia really values competitions, so we’re going all out to nail every rehearsal and aim for a good performance in the finals.”

Hearing Helena, Roswiser leaned closer to Leon and whispered, “Remember how you complained that Noia should be more like you? Well, here you go! Her thirst for victory is completely inherited from you.”

“Like you’re any less competitive.”

“I’m not competitive!”

“You’re the one who even has to compete over which daughter to kiss first!”

“…Tch~”

“Uncle and Aunt, please sit down.”

Helena set up two chairs and poured two cups of hot water.

The couple took a seat, and Helena promptly handed them a script for the upcoming play.

As Leon flipped through it, he found the plot was pretty similar to what Noia had mentioned: A valiant knight falls in love with a princess from a rival kingdom, and they eventually end up together.

“Helena, Noia said you wrote this script?” Roswiser asked.

“Yep, that’s me!” Helena replied with a bright smile.

“Oh, that’s impressive, Helena! Writing such a complete script at your age is quite an achievement!”

Although reading the script felt a bit like reading an autobiography, she couldn’t help but concede that it was remarkable for a ten-year-old to write something so structured.

“Ah, it’s nothing, Aunt~”

Helena smiled bashfully, scratching her head. “When I was writing this, my mom gave me a lot of inspiration.”

Cue the keyword: her mom.

The couple exchanged glances, sensing they could dig into the mysterious Ms. Claudia before rehearsals began.

“Your mom… does she have a knack for writing stories?” Roswiser inquired.

“Umm… not exactly a knack.”

Helena dragged a chair over and sat down beside them, slowly explaining, “Mom often organizes and compiles various ancient texts and literature, so she’s quite skilled with words and rhythm. As for this script…”

Sitting there swinging her legs, her school skirt revealing white tights that glimmered in the sun like softened ice cream, Helena squinted and smiled at Leon and Roswiser.

“Mom says the inspiration for this script… comes from life.”

Both Leon and Roswiser gasped, unable to hold back.

Could it be that the Sea Dragon Race also has epic tales of star-crossed human-dragon romances?

No, surely not…

Leon wasn’t inclined to believe there could be a second “Dragon Knight” as valiant as he was in this world.

Roswiser didn’t believe it either.

However, one thing did pique her interest: Even if the Sea Dragon Race wasn’t involved in any epic romances, their tribe might still have ties to humans.

To get more specific… there might be some connection to Leon’s master, Taige.

But that was just a bold guess from Roswiser; she couldn’t confirm it based on just two martial arts manuals.

So, further observation was necessary!

“Well, your mom sounds like a remarkable person!”

Roswiser generously praised, then asked, “But… why isn’t she here?”

“Oh, our Sea Dragon Race lives quite far away. Mom set off early, so she probably needs—”

Tap—tap—tap—

The sound of high heels echoed at the door, sharp and steady.

The footsteps grew closer, closer…

Finally, they stopped right at the classroom door.

The couple and Helena all turned to look.

A tall, elegant woman stood there, with the same blue hair as Helena, shimmering softly in the gentle sunlight, calm like a tranquil sea.

Though she looked a lot older than Roswiser, her beautiful face still had its charm; plus, her graceful demeanor highlighted her noble descent from the Sea Dragon Royal Family.

Her deep blue eyes scanned the room, pausing briefly on Roswiser and Helena.

But ultimately, her gaze settled on Leon.

Leon remained calm in his composure; the stunning woman before him resembled the beautiful lady from the photos of his future daughters.

There was no doubt about it—she was the legendary—

“Claudia Poseidon…”
