“Stop it, Little Light!”
“Mom, you’re here~”
Helena jumped up and dashed toward the door.
“Mm-hmm.” Claudia replied.
Helena took her hand and said while walking, “Mom, let me introduce you. These are Noia’s parents.”
As Claudia approached, the couple stood up from their chairs.
“Hello, I am Helena’s mother, Claudia Poseidon.”
The blue-haired beauty spoke with a flat tone and a cold voice.
It reminded Leon of Roswiser before she became a mom to three kids—she was just as detached and unapproachable back then.
Even though her words were polite, they still gave off a vibe of indifference.
“Hello, Ms. Claudia. I’m Roswiser Melkway, Noia’s mom.”
In contrast, Roswiser’s tone was a bit more lively, but not by much.
Even though the mysterious “treasure box” named Claudia had been a source of nuisance for her and Leon for quite some time, she kept her joy and excitement in check when finally face-to-face.
As a queen who had reigned for fifty years, Roswiser had plenty of social skills.
Revealing her inner expectations and motives too soon would allow her counterpart to gain the upper hand.
Though she and Leon weren’t enemies with Claudia, there were still some simple “games” to play during this first interaction.
“Queen of the Silver Dragons, I’ve long admired you, Miss Melkway.”
In the dragon community’s sense of age, it was indeed appropriate to refer to the just-over-200-year-old Roswiser as “Miss.”
Next, Claudia slowly shifted her gaze toward Leon.
Ironically, she had scrutinized him the longest before stepping inside, yet now she took her sweet time to greet him.
Roswiser understood the subtleties of first encounters, and surely, Claudia, who had lived longer, knew them too.
Noticing Claudia’s eyes on him, Leon introduced himself, “Hi, I’m Little Luo’s husband, Leon Casmod.”
At this, Roswiser raised an eyebrow slightly.
Usually, she would hear him call her “Mother Dragon” or “Little Burning Dragon” or the often casual “Wife” and “Love.”
Hearing him say “Little Luo” felt oddly refreshing.
After all, only those from the Melkway family would call Roswiser “Little Luo.”
Being the youngest in the family, apart from third-generation dragons like Noia, it made sense for her to have a nickname that contrasted with her icy demeanor.
Roswiser didn’t mind Leon calling her that suddenly. In fact, it even warmed her heart a bit…
Shaking her head, she tried to keep her mind from wandering off into the deep end.
After a brief chit-chat, Claudia took a seat.
Helena handed her a copy of the script.
Claudia flipped through it, nodding slowly and finally commenting, “Very well done, Helena.”
Receiving her mom’s praise made little Sea Dragon girl puff out her tail in pride.
“What about the others in your group?” Claudia asked, setting the script down.
“They went to prepare props and costumes, they’ll be back soon.”
“Okay. If there are similar activities in the future, remember to prepare early.”
“Yes, Mom.”
The couple watched the little mother-daughter exchange and suddenly felt like they were witnessing “General Leon’s Early Parenting Guide for the Silver Dragon Queen.”
Years ago, when Roswiser had just become a mom, she hadn’t quite learned how to relate to her daughters.
Back then, she had a serious face while chatting with Noia and Moon, much like Claudia now.
Even for the tiniest matters, she would correct them sternly.
The daughters had gotten used to it, and Roswiser hadn’t thought there was anything wrong with her parenting style.
Until Dog Man woke up from his two-year coma and brought those human parenting techniques into their lives.
At first, Roswiser resisted a bit.
But as she watched her daughters grow brighter and more attached to her, she soon became all for it.
Living in such a harmonious household had made her forget what traditional dragon families were like—
Today, Claudia was giving her a refresher.
Regarding this, Roswiser didn’t share any opinions.
Each family has its own way of interacting, and as an outsider, she wasn’t one to intervene.
While she thought about it, Leon gently tapped the back of her hand.
Roswiser glanced over.
The couple switched to a private chat.
Leon: 【Doesn’t this scene feel familiar?】
Roswiser: 【I know what you’re going to say. I’ve been working on it for a long time.】
Leon: 【Oh, really? Well, Claudia seems quite authoritative. She might be a noble in the Sea Dragon Race?】
Roswiser: 【Of course, Poseidon is a royal family name among the Sea Dragons, very prestigious.】
Leon: 【So… checking her background would be tough, huh?】
Roswiser: 【It appears so… every question we ask should be measured carefully, any slight mistake could lead to unnecessary misunderstandings.】
Leon: 【Got it.】
Private chat ended.
Leon slowly turned to look at the Sea Dragon mother-daughter duo.
Claudia was guiding Helena on some details in the script.
“Helena, do you think this line can fully express the character’s inner feelings?”
“What line, Mom?”
“‘I can’t live without you; please wake up!'”
Claudia pointed to the line in the script, “We’re nearing the end, yet the main characters haven’t directly expressed their feelings for each other in this two-hour play.”
“Even with all the twists and rich plots, audiences can feel the solid love between them, but that’s merely the ‘gunpowder’ in the bomb.”
“To genuinely detonate this bomb at the end, you need a fuse.”
“And this crucial line is that fuse.”
“You need to think again about how to craft a line that unleashes all the buildup, evoking an emotional response from the audience as they connect with your character.”
With that, Claudia handed the script back to Helena.
Helena accepted it with both hands, “Okay, Mom, I’ll revise it.”
“Mm-hmm, Mom believes you can come up with even better lines.”
Seeing this scene, Leon blinked, feeling impressed—wow, Claudia really knows her stuff; her guidance was on point.
No wonder she wrote “Nine Gates of Hell” and “Soul Judgment”—she’s got some skills!
And her style of instruction didn’t seem annoying; even Leon and Roswiser, as bystanders, noted her serious attitude through her calm tone.
In truth, Claudia didn’t have to be this thorough, since this was just a play put together by little dragons. There’s bound to be some rough edges.
Yet she still took it seriously, making sure even a single line was carefully refined.
Truth be told, her practical personality reminded Leon of his Master’s wife.
She spoke sweetly, yet always used that gentle tone to issue the most non-negotiable orders to Leon and Master.
A rough-around-the-edges farmer and a kid sent off to Dragon Slayer Academy at ten; typically, their lives would be a chaotic mess like most middle-aged men and devilish teens.
But thankfully, she was there, ensuring their lives were tidy and well-managed.
She took great care of them, which is why Master loved her so much.
Leon looked at Claudia.
From the moment he walked in until now, he finally took a good look at the lovely lady.
She was beautiful, no doubt (though not quite up to par with my own Mother Dragon), yet Leon felt she looked familiar somehow.
He recalled that when he first saw a photo of Claudia in the future, he also thought she looked familiar.
But he couldn’t quite place where or who she resembled.
Leon scratched his head, thinking he wasn’t the kind of guy who thought “I must’ve met this beautiful woman before”—
Though Little Light teased him about it in the future, it was merely a clever misunderstanding.
While he pondered, cheerful footsteps came from the door.
Everyone turned to see.
The little dragon girls trotted in, all carrying a pile of props and costumes.
“Oh, everyone’s here.”
Noia set down the props and looked at Claudia,
“Aunt Claudia, hi~ I’m Noia K. Melkway, Helena’s classmate and roommate.”
Claudia smiled and nodded, “Hello, Noia.”
“Auntie, hello! I’m Moon, Noia’s little sister.”
“What a beautiful name, it means ‘moon.’ Hello, Little Moon.”
“Me, me, me! I’m Aurora, but you can call me Little Light. Auntie, hug—”
“Hey, sweetie, no hugging!”
Leon quickly interjected to intercept.
If Little Light triggered her uppercut now, they’d be forever barred from prying info from Claudia.
Little Light blinked her big eyes, confused.
Leon promptly explained, “It’s a bit impolite, Little Light.”
“Okay.” Little Light nodded obediently.
Unfortunately, the achievement titled “Instantly Win Over All Beautiful Aunties” wasn’t unlocked; that’s a strike against my Little Light, right there.
After the introductions, Noia clapped her hands,
“Alright everyone, since everyone’s here, let’s officially start the rehearsal~”
