Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You – Chapter 385

Chapter 89: Dragon King Secret Meeting

After finishing breakfast, Leon strolled into the front courtyard of the Holy Temple and spotted Roswiser engaged in a low conversation with Anna, likely tying up some loose ends.

Leon ambled over, hands shoved deep into his pockets, casting a glance at the nearby Head Maid before turning back to Roswiser with a warm greeting, “Good morning, wifey!”

He pronounced ‘wifey’ with such zeal it sounded like he was trying to join a cult.

The Queen shot him a glare that could curdle milk.

She knew exactly why this mutt was being so affectionate; they had to put on a good show of being the perfect couple in front of Anna.

Later, if she teased Leon about how he secretly wanted her to be his real wife, he would retaliate with, “We need to make this act convincing with Anna around!”

“Acting” was a brilliant excuse—easy to use for both of them.

“Morning, hubby,” she replied.

Although internally grumbling about how this dog was using this as an opportunity to get a leg up on her, saying ‘hubby’ actually lightened her mood a bit.

Weird, right?

Noticing this scene, the Head Maid stifled a giggle, quickly wiping the smile off her face to say earnestly, “Your Majesty, I will do my best with the tasks assigned to me. Please don’t worry.”

“Thank you, Anna. We’ll be back tomorrow evening,” Leon replied.

“Understood, Your Majesty,” Anna nodded respectfully and then glanced at Leon with a small gesture before making her way back into the Holy Temple.

Once Anna was out of earshot, Leon asked, “Tomorrow night? Where are we going?”

“Did you not hear what I just said?”

Leon shrugged, “What did you say again?”

“I’m not going anywhere; it’s ‘we’ who are going.”

Leon blinked, “So… where are we going?”

“To Sky City.”

“On a date?”

“Definitely not!”

“If it’s not a date, why are you so worked up? It’s like you really dislike dating me.”

“I just don’t like dating you!” Roswiser firmly defended herself.

“Mhm, mhm, right. You don’t like it, but I’m the one who always has to squirm to ask you out. You’ve never asked me out; is that fair?”

The Queen’s face flushed red, and she swatted Leon on the rear with her tail.

Leon could have dodged but chose not to.

Fortunately, Roswiser was careful, only giving him a symbolic hit that didn’t hurt.

This action might seem trivial but is known in professional jargon as “playful banter.”

“So, what exactly are we doing in Sky City?”

“Having a meeting.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Roswiser spread her dragon wings and transformed into a silver dragon.

She lowered herself to a height suitable for Leon to climb onto her back, “A Dragon King’s Secret Meeting.”

Twilight Tower, a high tower standing in the very center of Sky City, symbolized supreme authority over the city.

It was said that Twilight Tower was built when Sky City opened its doors to the entire Dragon Race, and its master was the city’s creator.

As the representative building for the largest neutral city of the Dragon Race, Twilight Tower naturally became a platform for equal exchanges among various dragon tribes.

Even though the Dragon Race had splintered into numerous tribes, there would always be necessary communications.

Trade, culture, external wars, and other affairs brought dragon kings to the Twilight Tower for discussions.

Today, the high-level conference room at the top of Twilight Tower reopened after many years, welcoming numerous esteemed dragon kings.

With about half an hour left until the meeting began, the dragon kings gradually gathered.

Inside the conference room was a long table, where a few dragon kings were already seated on either side.

“Odin, didn’t expect to see you here.”

“Elder, have you given more thought to the diplomatic relations we discussed last time?”

“Noble Thunder Dragon King, I’ve long heard of your esteemed name, and seeing you today, you truly are impressive.”

“…”

Several young dragon kings bowed respectfully to one elder dragon king sitting at the side of the table.

Their words dripped with reverence because sitting before them was the venerable Thunder Dragon King—Odin.

However, amidst the flattery, there was always one who stood out with a different vibe.

“Hey there, Thunder Dragon! Even you’re coming to meetings now? Must be a pretty big headache this time, huh?”

Odin chose to ignore the compliments, simply closing his eyes to rest.

But when that loudmouth spoke up, Odin felt the need to respond, or else it’d just get awkward.

What?

You’re wondering why Odin would feel awkward?

Because if that guy isn’t awkward, everyone else serves as the punchline!

“Morgan, does your family’s crazy lack of manners run in your bloodline?”

“Not just that; my son Anton has elevated our family’s gift of gab to an art form!”

While saying this, Morgan cheerfully plopped down beside Odin, throwing an arm around Odin’s shoulder like they were old pals.

“Last time in the Extreme North for the practical assessment, my son returned and told me that your eldest princess Yuna did quite well!”

Odin shot him a “I didn’t need you to tell me that” look and then turned away.

Morgan hailed from the Golden Sand Dragon Tribe, an ancient clan.

Rumor has it that they still possess magical tomes from the era of Dragon God Tiamat deep within their lineage.

But clearly, their dragon king Morgan didn’t live up to the lofty description of ‘ancient’ and instead was just a rusty old geezer with bragging rights.

Who would guess that he rose to power alongside Odin?

Because of this, Morgan and Odin shared a decent friendship; otherwise, he wouldn’t dare chat casually with the revered Thunder Dragon King.

The dragon kings were whispering among themselves, and soon, the conference room door swung open once more.

This time, a striking beauty walked in.

With her red hair and elegant gown, her exquisite makeup highlighted a captivating mature beauty, further enhanced by her disdainful, cold gaze that radiated a unique aura.

“The Red Dragon King? Is she connected to Constantine?” Morgan asked quietly.

The reason behind this Dragon King Secret Meeting was to deal with the newly empowered Constantine.

Odin turned his gaze toward the red-haired beauty and said after a moment, “It’s said that prior to Constantine gaining Primal Power, he intercepted Isar’s territory without warning. So, it makes sense for her to be here.”

Morgan nodded in agreement, “I see.”

Isar took a seat, crossed her long legs, and rested her chin on one hand. As her mesmerizing gaze swept the room, she noticed there were no familiar faces to chat with and promptly closed her eyes, pretending to nap.

Female dragon kings were exceedingly rare in the Dragon Race, and Isar’s stunning beauty naturally caught the attention of the other dragon kings.

Yet, all the dragon kings were of high rank; none would stoop to making pointless small talk at such a meeting.

They merely appreciated her presence.

A few minutes later, the sharp sound of high heels resonated from outside the door.

Morgan was taken aback, “Whoa, are we about to step into an era of gender equality in the Dragon Race? Why are there so many female dragon kings?”

Odin remained silent, his eyes fixed on the doorway.

He wasn’t concerned about female dragon kings.

But he felt a familiar aura coming from the approaching figure.

In the next moment, a flash of blue hair appeared in the sight of the dragon kings.

Compared to the younger Red Dragon King, this lady seemed slightly older. Describing her as “gracefully mature” wouldn’t be off, as she radiated a charming sophistication.

“I think I remember her… Is it the Water Dragon—”

“Sea Dragon,” Odin quickly corrected.

“Oh right, Sea Dragon Tribe. But haven’t they been reclusive for so many years? Why are they showing up at a meeting about Constantine?”

After a pause, Morgan added, “And if I recall correctly, the king of the Sea Dragon Tribe is Poseidon. How did it turn into a stunning young lady?”

“Mind your tone when you speak, Morgan. Her name is Claudia, and she’s Poseidon’s eldest daughter.”

Odin narrowed his eyes slightly, his tone serious, “Poseidon sent her to represent him at this Dragon King Secret Meeting, and the implications are obvious.”

Morgan’s mind raced, immediately catching on, “So, Claudia is likely to become the next Sea Dragon King?”

“Perhaps.”

Morgan shifted his gaze from the stunning lady, leaned back in his chair, hands behind his head, and lazily remarked, “I definitely need to pop in for the coronation ceremony.”

“Without a Sea Dragon member to guide you, you’ll never reach their underwater palace.”

“Hey, I was just saying that! Why do you have to take everything so seriously?”

Odin let out a soft huff, clearly uninterested in engaging with him.

“But speaking of which, nearly everyone is here, but it seems today’s main character hasn’t arrived yet.”

Morgan glanced around the conference room; only the two seats across from him were empty; everyone else had settled in.

Odin pondered Morgan’s statement for a moment and then chuckled softly, “The main character always makes a grand entrance.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the two heard Isar cheerfully greeting the doorway, “Little Luo, brother-in-law, you’re here!”
