048. Victory!
When Wen Yang woke up, he found himself in Lin Li’s little villa, nearly drained dry, and it took him a few days to drag his weak body away.
Although being kidnapped was pretty scary, Wen Yang had been living the good life these past few days. If it weren’t for his body giving out, he wouldn’t have wanted to leave.
That was the plot of a typical rom-com.
But what Ning Chu didn’t expect was Lin Li inviting him to join in on the plot and help drain Wen Yang even further.

Ning Chu’s expression nearly cracked as he shook his head vigorously, refusing Lin Li’s proposal again, and justified with confidence, “He’s drunk! I need to take him back to the dorm!”
A quick glance revealed two male classmates almost shoving Wen Yang into Lin Li’s car.
“Hey! Don’t lift Wen Yang into her car! Put him down!”
Ning Chu clearly felt the icy, displeased gaze behind him, making his heart race. This female supporting character was not as easy to deal with as the previous ones.
A girl who would drug a boy she likes, kidnap him, and force him into a car… guess she qualifies as a classic yandere, huh?
Thankfully, this was just a rom-com, not a horror movie. It was awkward but didn’t have bloody elements; Lin Li probably wouldn’t do anything too outrageous…
“Don’t~” Lin Li smiled sweetly, whispering in Ning Chu’s ear, “Don’t ruin my plans~”
Those two male classmates hesitated, glancing at Lin Li before looking towards Han Jingye.
Following their line of sight, Ning Chu also turned his gaze toward the instructor.
He quickly realized he was no match for this cunning vixen and badly needed some backup.
So, with a reluctant twitch of his lips, he asked, “Instructor! I’m here now, just let me take care of Wen Yang, okay?”
This guy may look harmless, but if he could help it, he wouldn’t want anything to do with Han Jingye.
“Brother Han~ I have a car, so it’ll be more convenient to take him back to the dorm!”
Cunning vixen! Are you really taking Wen Yang back to the dorm? Even a dog would cover its eyes!
Han Jingye was clearly a bit confused, staring at Ning Chu and Lin Li; the two clearly made an odd combination, fighting over a man in broad daylight.
“Instructor, she can only drop Wen Yang off at the dorm entrance anyway. She’s just a girl and can’t take him upstairs.”
“I… I have a car!”

All the students had stopped eating, watching the spectacle unfold with interest.
Han Jingye didn’t think too hard about it; Ning Chu’s identity as a roommate declared victory: “Ning Chu, you go ahead. I trust you more.”
“Exactly!”
With the instructor’s approval, Ning Chu wore a triumphant smile, sneaking a glance at Lin Li before quickly running across the street to borrow a little cart from the Sichuan restaurant.
Once again, he successfully disrupted the plot!
That was close; luckily, he had the sudden idea to check on Wen Yang, and the timing was just right. Whether he had come earlier or later, Wen Yang would have ended up in trouble tonight.
Indeed, never let Wen Yang out of sight!
Just a bit of slackening and he nearly wasted all his efforts.
With the help of his classmates, Wen Yang was slumped onto the little cart, and Ning Chu forced himself to push the cart away from the food stall, braving Lin Li’s killer stare.
So terrifying…
Once they were away from the food stall, Ning Chu realized his back was drenched in sweat. Wiping the light sweat from his forehead, he let out a long sigh and looked down at the slumped Wen Yang on the cart.
“Wow, he’s really been drugged…”
“Making all this noise and still no reaction. Last time he heard a water drop while drunk and woke right up.”
If it weren’t for Wen Yang still breathing, he would’ve doubted if the male lead was planning to exit this world early.
He pulled out his phone and dialed his roommate.
“Hey! Shao Qing! Wen Yang is drunk! Hurry up and bring Wang Jie to help!”
“On the street behind the school, hurry!”
What a terrible day!
After hanging up, Ning Chu slumped his head down in despair.
Feeling a slight chill on his belly, he confirmed that he had successfully disrupted Lin Li’s plot, but his expression was even gloomier.
In just one day, twice… he couldn’t imagine what kind of changes his appearance would undergo tomorrow.
Poor little dumpling hadn’t even been around for a few days, and it seemed like it was about to level up.
He wondered if his new pajamas would still fit; he didn’t want a plump, perky b*tt.
His face was already lady-like enough; if it got any prettier, he might just completely detach from the term “man,” and everybody would see him as a girl.
As he pushed the cart, Ning Chu entered the school through the back gate, where Zhang Shaoqing and Wang Jie hurriedly arrived.
“What’s going on? How did he get like this in such a short time?”
“Hey! Wake up!”
The three surrounded Wen Yang, trying to call him back to consciousness, shaking him a few times, but they got no response.
Zhang Shaoqing frowned, taking over the cart from Ning Chu and asked, “What happened to him?”
“Right? He shouldn’t be this trashed just from drinking. It’s only been a little while,” Wang Jie said, equally anxious.
Ning Chu helplessly pursed his lips, mumbling, “You won’t believe me, but I suspect he was drugged by Lin Li.”
“Who’s Lin Li?”
“That fox in our class.”
“Oh~ her? She’s pretty bold,” Zhang Shaoqing realized, “Drugged?”
“When I got there, she was about to stuff Wen Yang into her car, claiming she wanted to take him back to the dorm. I figured that didn’t seem likely.” Although Ning Chu knew the plot, he still explained in a speculative tone, “I guess she drugged him; students at dinner said he hadn’t even drunk much.”
Wang Jie chimed in quietly, “d*mn, what a life winner?!”
“d*mn, so jealous.”

He’s the main character, okay! You guys can’t hope for that kind of luck!
Ning Chu felt a twinge of jealousy; he envied it too… so many beautiful girls liked him, and still that fox lady!
But the drugging and kidnapping method was just too horrifying.
He suppressed his jealousy and thought carefully; as a rom-com protagonist, he was still a virgin, and Wen Yang’s fate was pretty tragic.
“That Lin Li seems a bit yandere. If I steal Wen Yang, she might come for me, um…”
“It’s okay, at most, she’ll just gross you out a bit.”
Before Zhang Shaoqing could finish, Wang Jie already chimed in with his phone in hand: “She’s saying in the group chat that you’re a girl, that you like Wen Yang, and you’re deliberately hiding in the boys’ dorm.”
“Ah?”
“Hah? Isn’t that the truth? Is she just realizing it?” Zhang Shaoqing made an exaggerated expression, then burst out laughing, “Wow! She really has a wild imagination!”
“… ” Ning Chu kicked Zhang Shaoqing, not caring that he missed, and asked, “What are the other students saying?”
“Not sure; they might have created a little group chat? I didn’t see many of the girls popping up,” Wang Jie continued, “But the guys in class are all making a fuss… someone said they’d use this as material for a story about you and Wen Yang.”
