Chapter 082: A Bunch of Vixens!
“Bored! This isn’t the university I wanted!”
Zhang Shaoqing complained as he leaned over his desk in the classroom, “Every day it’s either classes or playing games in the dorm. Why aren’t there any girls chasing after me? Why are there no club activities? Why hasn’t anyone invited me to a party?”
In the dorm, he was the only one who actually participated in any clubs, hoping they would spice up his university life. But he soon realized everyone was doing their own thing, and there were hardly any activities.
“d*mn it! I heard that club that invited Wen Yang to throw a party got reported! Seven or eight people got caught, and now we have to submit applications in advance for any club activity!”
“Who the hell reported them? Ugh!”
Ning Chu, sitting beside him, shot him a glare with one hand propping up her chin.
Oh, he was just going to insult the one responsible, wasn’t he?!
Zhang Shaoqing’s university life was a little dull, but Ning Chu’s was downright thrilling.
For days now, he had been nervously shadowing Wen Yang, sticking to him like glue. What started as being a mere follower had nearly turned him into Wen Yang’s shadow. He was on guard around any girls, unwilling to let Wen Yang talk to them, fearing it would trigger some storyline.
He already had enough problems as it was; his “manhood” was shrinking into oblivion—he couldn’t afford another trigger!
If a dramatic turn happened again, he’d have to short-sightedly let Wen Yang take the plunge, occasionally going along with the drama to postpone his transformation into a girl… As for what would happen once Wen Yang lost his virginity? Well, he’d just have to grab a train and run if things went south—what else could he do?
Fortunately, it had been relatively peaceful lately, no storylines triggered.
“Thank goodness tomorrow is the weekend…” Zhang Shaoqing slung an arm around Wang Jie’s shoulder, sporting that signature villainous smirk, “Shall we hit the town tonight? That bar we went to last time was fun, right?”
Wang Jie was tempted but shook his head, “I’ve got plans tonight for an event, how about tomorrow?”
“Fine then, I guess I’ll head home tomorrow.”
Every weekend, no matter how reluctant he was, Zhang Shaoqing had to dutifully return home.
Even as a wealthy second-generation rich kid, his life was hardly carefree under the watchful eyes of his family.
But compared to Wen Yang…
Ning Chu glanced over at Wen Yang. Over the past few days, Wen Yang hadn’t shown any aversion to him, but as an adult man, he surely wouldn’t tolerate long-term control.
He just needed to wait until Wen Yang rebelled once more, and then their potentially cross-ship of love would sink without a trace!
“Class dismissed!”
As the teacher at the front grabbed his briefcase and began to leave, students cheered and surged to their feet.
Then, Han Jingye walked in through the front door, “Quiet down! I need to take a little of your time!”
“Shhh~”
Ning Chu took a glance at Han Jingye. Over time, he had grown to like him, so his initial prejudice and dislike had vanished.
“First off, regarding the school’s living expense subsidies, most applications have been approved and the funds will be directly credited to your meal cards.”
“The sports meeting will kick off in November, and we are also beginning to select programs for the New Year’s Eve party. I encourage everyone to sign up with the class leader. This semester, everyone must participate in at least one collective activity or competition.”
Clearly, the students were displeased, and murmurs of discontent filled the room.
“Quiet! Quiet!”
Han Jingye shouted twice, finally settling the students down before diving into the details of the sports event.
“You’re signing up for sprints, right?” Ning Chu shifted to rest his chin on one hand, eyeing Wen Yang, “What should I sign up for? Should I just skip this one?”
“How about joining the girls’ cheerleading squad?”
He shot Zhang Shaoqing a look: “Aren’t you worried about yourself? Watch out for being penalized.”
“Wen Yang, sign up for sprints too!”
“Oh? Getting cold feet already?” Ning Chu seized the chance to tease, “I remember when you were leading the charge berating the instructor! You didn’t want to participate back then!”
“That’s not me being scared!” Zhang Shaoqing insisted stubbornly, his thick skin in full display, “I’m just giving the instructor an out!”
Even with black-dyed hair, he was still the same shameless rascal.
Ning Chu didn’t really believe in Han Jingye’s “mandatory” participation spiel. If someone genuinely didn’t participate in any activities for a semester, Han Jingye would probably just make a mental note, maybe give them the stink eye later.
After ten minutes of Han Jingye’s monologue, the students erupted in despair.
Once the instructor left, Ning Chu prepared to stand up and leave. However, upon turning around, he found four or five girls had already converged on Wen Yang.
Wang Jie and Zhang Shaoqing gasped and scurried to the side, while Ning Chu stood frozen in place, now surrounded along with Wen Yang by a horde of girls.
“Class leader! Sign me up for the 800-meter race!”
“I want to sign up for long jump and high jump!”
“Yang Yang! Are there any restrictions for New Year’s programs? Can you give me a rundown?”
“Add me as a friend! I have some questions!”
Wow! So they were all blowing this up to flirt with Wen Yang, huh?
And they want a private consultation? What are they really after?!
Wen Yang was taken aback by being ambushed for the first time, but thankfully the tiered classroom furniture was fixed, preventing the girls from directly pouncing on him.
“Wait, one at a time…”
He wasn’t good at dealing with enthusiastic girls and instinctively looked to Ning Chu for help.
Ning Chu scanned the crowd, his expression darkening.
These girls! They clearly wanted him dead!
If even one of them was connected to the plot, his manhood would be completely vaporized.
“Bam!”
A sudden bang on the desk startled the girls into silence.
Ning Chu stifled the burning pain in his palm, standing up with authority: “Everybody split! What are you all crowding around for? Go online and sign up during lunch!”
“Who are you?”
Unfortunately, his commanding presence didn’t intimidate anyone.
“Right, yeah! Move aside! I haven’t even grabbed the registration forms yet; I’m signing up online at lunch.” Luckily, Wen Yang seemed to catch on too.
He shot a grateful glance at Ning Chu, surprised to see this usually reserved guy showing a dominant side. Too bad his baby face lacked the intimidating factor.
Like a fierce little kitten, pawing around but just being cute.
Suddenly, Ning Chu yanked Wen Yang’s arm and led him toward the classroom door, “Move aside! We’re going to get the registration forms from the instructor!”
“Excuse me, coming through,” Wen Yang echoed his words, “I’m off to get the forms.”
Finally out of the classroom and free from that horde of girls, Ning Chu let out a long sigh of relief.
He was quite glad he made that decisive choice; if he had hesitated, Wen Yang would have likely been overwhelmed by those girls.
Guess nothing triggered, right?
“Can’t you be a bit more assertive?” Ning Chu turned back to glare at Wen Yang, shaking off his arm, “Can’t handle a pretty girl, huh?”
“It’s just… they’re all girls. I don’t think it’s right for a guy to be harsh with them, right?”
“I’m a guy too! Why can’t I be harsh with them?! Just yell at them!” Ning Chu exclaimed, gritting his teeth, “A bunch of vixens! Can’t move their legs when a guy’s around!”
Wen Yang felt like a vinegar pot had just flipped over.
