71. Dinner Party
After dawdling in the bathroom for half an hour, Ning Chu finally slumped back into the dormitory, feeling utterly exhausted and sore.
She was met with the teasing grins of Yan Xinya and Lin Li, her head hanging so low in shame she could barely lift it.
Even though she had been hiding in the bathroom, word had somehow gotten out…

Ning Chu and Lily took over the grilling duties while Yan Xinya and Lin Li focused on grabbing and eating, a well-defined distribution of labor.
But Ning Chu wasn’t feeling very enthusiastic; she did her best to maintain a faint smile, propping her chin with one hand as she watched the sizzling grill. Yet, her mind kept drifting to Wen Yang’s image.
Wonder what Wen Yang is up to now.
If she calculated the time correctly, he should still be on the bus, right?
Suddenly, she found herself missing Wen Yang…

Hearing Lily’s confirmation, they both lunged in with their chopsticks, swiftly grabbing all the grilled meat clean.

“How do you expect her to be happy when Wen Yang isn’t here?” Lin Li teased with a grin. “Her heart’s out there with Wen Yang while she celebrates your birthday here~”
Ning Chu twitched her mouth. “I’m not!”

She wanted to argue, but suddenly felt a burning sensation in her lower abdomen, her expression changing instantly as her body tensed up.
As expected! Wen Yang ran into the seductive fox from the bus!
