### Chapter 13: The Weekend Draws Near
As time marched on, the upcoming weekend drew increasingly closer.
After rehearsing the stage play content with the theater group members, Mo Tu returned to the Night Watcher Base.
On schedule, everything seemed nearly ready over at the theater group. So, he didn’t really have to stick around and be redundant.
Mo Tu then headed to the reception room where someone was waiting for him.
The person waiting for him was none other than Xiao Jin, the leader of the Yun Chang City Night Watcher Base.
Seeing that Mo Tu had shown up as requested, Xiao Jin smiled warmly.
“Sit down.”
Mo Tu, without any hesitation, sat directly across from Xiao Jin.
“So, what did you want to talk about?”
“Well, not much—just some chitchat about the Rising Sun Theater Group, right? According to the pattern, their grand performance should be starting soon in Qi Yuan City. It almost feels like it’s just around the corner.”
“Something like that.”
Noticing Xiao Jin’s attempt to get some information out of him, Mo Tu decided not to beat around the bush.
Considering he was currently Yun Chang City’s Sunlight Night Watcher, it only made sense to share a bit of info with his leader. Of course, exactly how much would depend on his mood.
Seeing Mo Tu’s nonchalant look, Xiao Jin couldn’t help but ask, “What kind of scale is this grand performance going to be?”
“Probably similar to last time, where the whole city could see it, so it’ll use the entire city as its stage.”
“Simply chaos upon order,” Xiao Jin remarked with a resigned expression, unable to hide his awe.
But thankfully, this time, it wouldn’t be happening in Yun Chang City; it would be in Qi Yuan City.
Let’s leave the headache of such matters to the Qi Yuan City Night Watchers.
“Haha…”
Mo Tu couldn’t help but chuckle lightly.
“Worried about what? It’s not as if the Night Watchers need to clean up the mess. The Rising Sun Theater Group’s singers and audience performers will handle it themselves. The Night Watchers just need to watch from start to finish, right?”
At those words, Xiao Jin couldn’t help but recall the previous scene—a dual singing that echoed through every corner of the city, fixing the anomaly the grand performance had caused. Unexplainable things were hidden and replaced with reasonable explanations. It bordered on cheating.
That grand performance ultimately amounted to an ordinary, albeit impressive, show in the eyes of normal people. No one bothered asking questions.
It was true that handling their own problems helped ease the burden on the Night Watchers, didn’t it?
“So… After this grand performance, which city will you guys move to next?”
Mo Tu leaned back in the sofa and shook his head.
“Don’t ask me; I have no clue. It’s not like I decide these things, probably just a random shift.”
“Is that so? Man, that’s pretty stressful.”
“I’m fine with either way, really. With the group’s strength, we don’t have to fear anything else. It’s all just like mowing down rookies in a newbie village, right?”
Mo Tu casually grumbled, though his words hinted otherwise.
Xiao Jin hesitated, sensing that the “newbie village” Mo Tu mentioned might include the Night Watcher organization.
Could it be that despite their current strength, the Night Watchers can’t deal with the Star Eclipses?
Thinking about it carefully, they really can’t.
If the audience performer wasn’t around to protect them, sure. But if the audience performer was fully committed to ensuring the Rising Sun Theater Group’s survival…
In that case, her single person’s power could stymie their efforts.
All she needs is one wish.
In a sense, that wish was akin to a cosmic force of cause and effect.
Once a wish is uttered, it’s bound to come true. It’s utterly unreasonable power.
If there’s something to target, it’d only be those Extraordinary Stars.
Too bad, for at present, aside from a certain mascot already dipping a toe into the fray, the Night Watchers don’t have anyone else with Extraordinary Stars, just sub-Extraordinary.
Though it’s only a slight difference, it’s still worlds apart. They’re simply not on the same level.
However, the Rising Sun Theater Group might not become a hostile force. If the audience performer can manage everything properly, the Night Watchers won’t interfere intentionally. And if they desire assistance, the Night Watcher Organization would even lend support to a degree.
Xiao Jin felt these points summed up his superior’s intent.
“Suits me just fine. Our leader has tacitly agreed to all your actions, as long as the Rising Sun Theater Group manages itself well, the Night Watchers won’t deliberately target them. In fact, the Night Watchers are willing to offer some level of support if the Rising Sun Theater Group seeks it.”
Mo Tu couldn’t help but smile.
“Being the head of such a high-level law enforcement body must be quite burdensome, having to tolerate an unpredictable dangerous organization.”
“I bet our leader had a lot on the line with such decisions.”
Xiao Jin could only sigh in response.
The weight of being a leader was nothing to sneeze at. Conversely, the pressure was immense.
But nonetheless, Xiao Jin admired his leader’s decision-making.
Even though it might sound harsh, if a force emerged that was truly beyond the Night Watchers’ reach, they’d be forced to treat it equally.
So far, the Rising Sun Theater Group with their audience performers stood invincible.
…
At the same time,
Night Lan was nestled within Ling Miao’s rest room, wrapped up with several little lolis.
Rubbing their tender feet, patting small tummies, and nuzzling their cheeks were all standard procedures now.
Bai Yu and the others showed no resistance to Night Lan’s intimacy but welcomed it eagerly instead.
Evidently, this form of closeness was enjoyed by all.
Only Night Lan would make the initiative to cuddle like this, though. As soon as they got close, Bai Yu and the others automatically stretched out their silk-clad legs.
By the way:
Bai Yu’s legs were clad in white silk, a creamy, luxurious color!
Star Yin and Neko Shinna had a black-and-white striped look reminiscent of sisters. Just unbelievably cute.
Mostly, Ling Miao wore chocolate-colored stockings. Each time Night Lan held her cute little leg in his hand, he found himself wondering if it would taste like real chocolate.
Oh, it was all so tantalizing.
Ling Miao couldn’t understand why Night Lan was suddenly so naughty lately, even trying to extend his reach toward her. It was just bizarre.
Yet she happily let him do whatever he wanted with her legs because Night Lan was just too adorable.
Adorable, but with a touch of sauciness. That balance made her all the more desirable.
Presently, Night Lan was lounging on Ling Miao’s plump thighs, fiddling with the rubber band at the edge of her stockings. He occasionally picked them up and let them fall back down, mesmerized by the teasing constriction it created.
Without disturbing Ling Miao, who was intensely focused on her drawing.
Just then, Night Lan remembered something and spoke up.
“Come to think of it, the weekend is nearing, and the Rising Sun Theater Group’s grand performance will soon commence in Qi Yuan City.”
Ling Miao, busy with her drawing, looked up.
“So what then, nyaa? When are we heading to Qi Yuan City?”
Ultimately, encouraged by Night Lan, the little lolis in the room all agreed to accompany her to the grand performance live.
Night Lan smirked mischievously.
“Hehe~ Don’t worry, I’ve got a surprise in store for you. Leave it to me to handle everything.”
