219. Morning
As usual, at seven in the morning, Wen Yang woke up on time.
He opened his eyes and looked down to see, out of nowhere, Ning Chu was nearly glued to his chest, her delicate little face just inches away.
A hint of a smile played on the corners of her mouth, her eyebrows relaxed, as if she had been dreaming a lovely dream.
The drowsiness quickly faded away, and he didn’t dare to move, afraid of waking Ning Chu.
Outside, the sweet sound of birds chirping filled the air, and he could faintly hear an old man chatting downstairs, the sound of vehicles rumbling along the village road, and the gentle rhythm of Ning Chu’s breathing…
The coat that served as a blanket had already been kicked to the foot of the bed. At this moment, Ning Chu’s clothes were a bit disheveled, curled up in his embrace with the kind of unguarded trust that made her look as cute as a little kitten.
Compared to the usual morning chaos in the dormitory with Zhang Shaoqing making a ruckus, this moment was blissful.
Wen Yang couldn’t help but fantasize. If every morning, he could wake up to Ning Chu’s charming face and feel her warmth and breath… he would probably end up bursting with frustration!
He thought about sneaking off to the bathroom for a personal matter while Ning Chu was still asleep, but he was too afraid to move, so he just endured, gazing at that lovely face, attempting to cleanse his mind of impure thoughts.
Then his gaze unintentionally drifted down, landing on the little hill that was forming beneath the covers.
A bit small.
What if… cultivation is key?
Self-sufficiency…
The naughty thoughts took charge as Wen Yang felt a mix of guilt and panic, worried that Ning Chu would wake up and slap him.
Not because he was scared of pain, but because he was terrified of making Ning Chu angry.
Wen Yang kept his hands resting on Ning Chu’s waist, but soon his eyes were drawn to the tail peeking out from the leg of Ning Chu’s shorts.
Though he had heard that succubi had tails and horns, he’d never seen one in real life.
Recalling how she reacted when he had squeezed her tail yesterday, it was clearly one of Ning Chu’s sensitive spots.
And now, that tail was gently swaying back and forth.
Whether it’s cat or dog, tails are always a sign of emotion; even someone like Yan Xinya, who seems quite human, would wag her tail like a fan when she was happy.
Realistically, wolf tails are usually not this agile, so Yan Xinya must be a husky?
But Ning Chu is a succubus…
Wen Yang’s gaze lingered on the smiling corners of Ning Chu’s lips… so she must be in a good mood right now?
He glanced at the time and realized it was already half-past seven.
It felt like he had been lying in bed for half an hour without noticing. He quickly pulled his arm from under Ning Chu’s head and shook off his numb hand, but to his surprise, she didn’t wake up.
Ning Chu just turned over, humming some unintelligible tunes, her back to Wen Yang, continuing her slumber.
“Time to get up.”
Wen Yang called out, but seeing no reaction, his gaze fell back on Ning Chu’s tail.
Honestly, anyone would want to pet their own cat or dog’s tail if they saw it.
With a girlfriend’s tail, he assumed he would be even more unable to resist.
He reached out, gently pinching the tip of the tail that was sticking out from her shorts, carefully giving it a little rub.
Not bad; it felt nice.
It just looked a bit underdeveloped, and he was afraid that a single wrong move would snap it off.
Suddenly, the tail yanked itself back inside the shorts.
“You’re insane!”
Ning Chu shot up, hands pressing down on Wen Yang’s wrist, her face flushed with embarrassment and anger as she glared at him.
“What on earth are you doing?!”
“Waking you up.”
“Well, you could have just nudged me a bit!”
No wonder Lily and her mother always wore long skirts to hide their tails! Some people just can’t keep their hands to themselves!
Ning Chu kicked Wen Yang in frustration. “What time is it?”
“Half past seven. We need to leave by forty at the latest, or we might be late.”
“So soon!”
She scrambled up, her bare feet hitting the mattress as she hopped off the bed and hurried towards the bathroom.
While brushing her teeth, Ning Chu glanced down at her tail.
As expected, it had turned into her weakness.
So sensitive that any touch would send a jolt through her system, making her feel all weak and soft.
Fortunately, Wen Yang wasn’t the typical male protagonist from a story but just an inexperienced guy, too timid to do anything inappropriate to her while cuddling all night.
“Move a little inwards.”
“Okay.”
Ning Chu stepped aside, making room for Wen Yang.
As she brushed her teeth, she stole a glance at Wen Yang’s face, then her eyes drifted down to the intimidating “weapon” he was sporting.
It made sense that he looked fresh after just waking up.
Still, it was enough to make anyone nervous.
Wen Yang noticed where Ning Chu was looking, his face turning slightly red as he nonchalantly asked, “Should I go get your luggage and blankets from the dorm this afternoon?”
“Sure.”
After a brief exchange, Ning Chu finished washing her face and shut Wen Yang in the bathroom: “I’m changing. You wait a bit.”
“Okay.”
Her tail definitely needed to be hidden, but she didn’t want to be seen as a crossdresser by her classmates, so no skirts for her.
Ning Chu approached the wardrobe, picking out what to wear for the day.
She needed loose pants; otherwise, she’d struggle to hide her tail, and even the baggiest long pants would still create a bump at her backside because of it.
If only she could wear a skirt, that would be so much easier!
Ning Chu found a light khaki trench coat her mother had bought her, which leaned more towards a neutral style.
She casually slipped on some black long pants, donned the trench coat, adjusted her collar, and stood in front of the mirror, taking in her reflection.
The trench coat that should look cool on her ended up giving off a vibe of sharpness, accentuated by her youthful face, creating a rather incongruous impression.
At least her tail was hidden.
“Are you ready? We’re going to be late for class!”
“Almost there!”
Ning Chu hurried to put on her shoes, and only after she responded did Wen Yang step out of the bathroom.
Seeing her in the trench coat for the first time, Wen Yang couldn’t help but gush, “You look pretty sharp today!”
“Right? Let’s go to class!”
The two of them quickly tidied up and jogged out of the rental apartment, heading for the bus stop outside the village.
This village was just as Zhang Shaoqing had described, with many students from surrounding schools renting here. This early in the morning, there were already over a dozen people waiting for the bus at the stop, with an old man selling breakfast nearby.
Ning Chu swiftly got into “battle mode,” glancing around at the female students at the bus stop.
In the plot, there were several female supporting characters from other schools!
Oh! That elf with pointy ears! Mark her down.
She knew Wen Yang was successfully trained by her; his head was now filled with her image, and it was highly unlikely he would pay attention to other girls, but the story had a way of forcing him into situations against his will!
Like Lin Li, that sly fox had some tricks up her sleeve for Wen Yang!
Plus, she understood men very well; most have bold intentions but lack the courage. If a bold girl with a few sweet nothings came along, who could say that he wouldn’t buckle?
An oddly mischievous idea suddenly popped into her head.
If she kept draining Wen Yang day after day, wouldn’t that eliminate the worry of him being seduced?
Hmm, draining the male protagonist of his essence… might be she herself who ends up corrupted first!
