Zhang Shaoqing had spent the last few months in class playing on his phone. He probably couldn’t even recall what the teacher looked like.
“You… just handle the presentation,” she suggested.
“Then I won’t do anything else!” Zhang Shaoqing declared with bravado, “Besides, I can’t do it!”
Ning Chu rubbed her temples, grinning wearily at Wen Yang as she muttered, “What a hassle.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve got some ideas for the project already,” Wen Yang reassured her.
As expected, Wen Yang was dependable!

Ning Chu suddenly felt much better: “Okay, then I’ll help with the research and PPT.”
“You can do that?”

Just as they wrapped up their division of labor, the class bell rang.
Ning Chu stretched, standing up and glancing out the classroom window. Seeing no shameless girls trying to flirt with Wen Yang, her mood lightened significantly.
“Wen Yang, are you going over to your girlfriend’s place tonight?”
As soon as class ended, Zhang Shaoqing leaned over, casually wrapping an arm around Wen Yang’s neck, a smirk on his face. “When are you inviting me for a meal together?”
Wen Yang shrugged off his hand. “She’s a bit shy; I’ll treat you to a meal when she’s comfortable.”
“Come on~ Ning Chu hasn’t even met your girlfriend!”
Suddenly lowering his voice, Zhang Shaoqing leaned closer and whispered to Wen Yang, “Did you make a move last night?”
“……”
Seeing Wen Yang turn away and not answer, he lamented, “You missed such a good opportunity! So weak!”
“I’m respecting her wishes,” Wen Yang defended.
“Well, you’ll regret it later!”
Of course, he couldn’t say he wouldn’t regret it, but rushing won’t lead to good outcomes anyway.
His gaze drifted to Ning Chu, who was chatting and laughing with Yan Xinya and Lily as they left the classroom. Not bothering to respond, he stood up and walked out after them.
“Hey, are you staying in the dorm tonight or going to your girlfriend’s?”

“Wow! Forgetting your buddies the moment you have a woman? I was just teasing, but you’re seriously considering going?!”
Outside in the hallway, Ning Chu felt her phone vibrating in her coat pocket. She pulled it out to check.
“Am I staying over at your place tonight?” she read.
Yan Xinya poked her head over, and Ning Chu promptly shoved her face away with one hand, and swiftly typed back: “1”
“Definitely Wen Yang asking you~”
“Hey, you don’t even know how to do house chores, so is he going to turn into a househusband while you earn the money?”
This Wolf Girl’s commentary was a tad outrageous.
Ning Chu put her phone down and shot her a glare. “Who said I don’t know how?”
“You wouldn’t even know how to use a tampon.”
“Where do you think I’m clueless?! You’re the one who kicked me out!”
Sure, she might be a little clumsy, but it just takes a bit more time.
After her mother passed away in her previous life, she lived with her grandparents and never got the chance to deal with housework.

“You’re really hard to please.” Ning Chu muttered, “Fine, my other roommate, Wang Jie…he’s got a girlfriend already, uh.”

“I’ll head back first.” Reaching a junction not far from the cafeteria, she stopped, giving Yan Xinya a wave.

Ning Chu intended to go back for a nice meal to celebrate her new place and shook her head, turning back towards the school gate.
Once she exited the school gates, she paused, idly waiting for a few moments.
“Let’s go.”
Wen Yang jogged out from inside, forcing a pained smile, “I was worried that if I walked with you, Shaoqing would get suspicious.”
“Yeah, I know… Shaoqing even found my sanitary napkins.”
“Ah?”
“Guess he doesn’t know what they’re for.”
If it weren’t for Yan Xinya’s explanation and recommendations, Ning Chu wouldn’t have known their purpose either.
Since the cat was out of the bag, she couldn’t be bothered to worry too much about it anymore.
Ning Chu strolled alongside Wen Yang toward the bus stop, feeling the excitement bubbling up. She cheerfully suggested, “Let’s have a nice dinner tonight! How about grilled fish?”
“Sounds expensive.”
“Just that one meal! We’ll order takeout at home!”
“A little wine too?”
Ning Chu hurriedly shook her head. “No drinking!”
She’s not foolish! With the two of them alone in a room with alcohol, wouldn’t that be a recipe for disaster?
