260. Not Exactly a Serious Person
Theoretically speaking, hypnosis spray can affect certain aspects of the mind and even the body.
Because in Little Emperor Wen, the villain used it on the girls to force them to increase their sensitivity.
During the morning class, Ning Chu’s mind was full of these bizarre thoughts, making her feel even more ridiculous about her past self.
What was even more ridiculous was that, despite having been punished and transformed into a succubus for writing Little Emperor Wen, she still occasionally cranked out some writing…
Zhang Shaoqing’s gender-bent short story was finished, clocking in at a solid five thousand words!
After becoming a girl, she thought the LSP (Lecherous Scumbag Pervert) part of her heart would be hidden forever, but lo and behold, she was still a succubus…
As a succubus, isn’t it reasonable to write Little Emperor Wen?
At noon, class ended on the dot.
Ning Chu looked up at the corridor outside the classroom and spotted Nana waiting there.
“Shall we grab some food at the cafeteria?”
“Never mind, I should probably deal with Nana first,” she mused, casting a glance at Wen Yang. “How do you always manage to get me into trouble…”
“Trouble just finds its way to you.”
Wen Yang chuckled awkwardly but shot a bit of a jealous look at Nana in the corridor.
This was Ning Chu’s first time bringing someone back to her rental apartment; even Zhang Shaoqing had only been invited when they needed to sort out their housing situation.
Though both Ning Chu and Nana were girls, given what Ning Chu knew about her own tendencies, it was clear that this little succubus likely had a thing for women too.
After all, Ning Chu used to be a man…
She had to be careful of both men and the possibility of Ning Chu diving into yuri.
So complicated.
Having once been male, Ning Chu merely glanced at Wen Yang and pretty much figured out her boyfriend’s mindset.
She rolled her eyes. “Don’t worry about it.”
If she wanted to get into girls, she wouldn’t be waiting until now!
“Yeah.”
Guess that was just desserts for her.
The stricter she was with Wen Yang back then, the more possessive he became now.
As the crowd spilled out of the classroom, Ning Chu approached Nana.
She sized up the vampire girl standing before her—Nana was probably around five feet three, with a slender figure akin to hers, and the oversized sweatshirt made it hard to discern if she was flat or not.
Nana was extremely shy, standing there like a quail, head hanging, with her pale skin, though somewhat sickly, showing a blush on her cheeks and pointy ears.
Those pointy ears are so cute!
Ning Chu stole another glance at her ears, but Nana caught her gaze and quickly pulled up her hoodie, taking a step back to create some distance.
“Can vampires not tell gender…?”
Ning Chu mumbled as she realized that today was the visit from Aunt Flo, and Nana hadn’t noticed at all.
Maybe her sanitary pads had worked too well?
Or perhaps this girl was just too flustered to even think about why Ning Chu might smell like bl**d.
“Should I walk you to the bus station?”
“No need! You go eat lunch! Do you have enough money? I can transfer some to you.”
“It’s only the middle of the month, I’m not broke enough to skip meals.”
Ning Chu understood Wen Yang’s pride.
Feeling his strength, she nodded and reminded him, “Eat more, okay?”
Every time she saw her boyfriend, who was nearly six foot three, eat so stingily, it tugged at her heartstrings.
“I know, I won’t starve myself.”
She shot Wen Yang an eye roll, not even knowing who used to be too timid to order meat in the cafeteria.
“Alright, let’s go.”
She attempted to grab Nana’s wrist, but Nana quickly dodged her, looking so weak and scared that it almost made Ning Chu want to tease her even more.
Most students had already left, and Ning Chu could tell Nana was apprehensive, so she decided to keep teasing this vampire girl for a bit longer.
“Why are you hiding from me?” she quipped mischievously. “You’ll have to come to my apartment later, you know! Just a lonely boy and girl~”
“…” Nana kept her head down, silent.
But Wen Yang wasn’t having any of Ning Chu teasing the girl: “She’s a girl, my girlfriend.”
“Ah?”
Ning Chu turned around, fuming, and glared at Wen Yang, “Let’s go!”
This guy is way too jealous!
They’re both girls! What’s wrong with a little teasing?
She shot a glance at the bewildered Nana but kept on walking straight out of the teaching building.
The vampire girl hurried after her, trotting along and whispering, “You really are a girl?”
“What else would I be?”
“But you said you were a guy before…”
“I just wanted to see if your issue was mental or physical.”
Ning Chu slowed down a bit, curious to ask, “Should be a mental issue… why are you scared of men?”
That detail had been touched upon in Little Emperor Wen, and she must have been bored to include that.
Nana stammered, and after a moment, replied quietly, “My dad… he liked to drink.”
Just a few words, combined with the information from her fear of men, and Ning Chu got the gist of it.
“I see…”
Maybe after becoming a woman, she was feeling more emotional or couldn’t stand seeing the characters she wrote suffer. Her mood dampened a little too.
She arrived at the bus station outside the school but couldn’t help asking, “What’s your situation with your parents now?”
“Just the same.”
Perhaps having someone to speak to was rare for Nana; her words flowed more easily, “My mom said I couldn’t get a divorce because of me…”
“Well, it’d be better to just get divorced, then.”
“Yeah.”
As they waited for the bus, Nana watched Ning Chu’s slender back, shuffling a little closer as if drawn to her comforting presence, feeling like she’d found an older sister to confide in, but couldn’t quite articulate why.
“The bus is here,” Ning Chu said. “Since I helped resolve your issue, you owe me lunch.”
“Okay!” Nana nodded eagerly.
But then she hesitantly asked, “You… how do you plan to solve it?”
“Um… ever heard of hypnosis spray?”
The bus came to a stop, and Ning Chu got on, paid, then turned back to find Nana standing there in disbelief, her face turning red.
Wow… this girl is definitely not your average person!
Clearly, she had seen some of those kinds of anime or stories! Otherwise, which normal person would blush so much at the word “hypnosis”?
Other passengers boarded the bus one by one, leaving only Nana hesitating at the door.
“Get on! It’s not what you think!”
With a determined but nervous expression, Nana climbed aboard, feeling like a lamb jumping into the tiger’s den.
If it wasn’t for Ning Chu being so cute and giving her an inexplicable sense of comfort, she would have bolted by now.
“Really, it’s not what you think…”
Ning Chu casually found a seat and complained, “Can you put something healthy in that head of yours?”
Though the original purpose of hypnosis spray did align with what Nana was thinking.
But it wasn’t about the tool; it was about the user!
She wasn’t some pervert like Zhang Shaoqing.
“…”
