272. Are You Really a Girl?

The evening shenanigans came to a painful end when Ning Chu found herself pinned down by a tail, her tears welling up in agony.
When she woke up, it was already eight o’clock the next day.
Ning Chu yawned, opened her eyes to behold the fancy chandelier on the ceiling, and luxuriated in the softness of her bed, feeling too lazy to move.
The large quilt had somehow been kicked off onto the floor. She turned her head to the side and saw Yan Xinya curled up with her big tail, snoring peacefully. Her nightgown had hiked up to her waist, exposing her underwear, suggesting she hadn’t slept too soundly the previous night.
Ning Chu glanced down at herself. Since it was her first time sleeping with a girl, she had been quite the good sleeper, barely moving the whole night. She was still neatly dressed.
Though her nightgown was a bit too short…
Ah, who cares? We’re all girls here; no one else is around to see.
She sighed, reached for her phone on the pillow, and sent Wen Yang a meme: Good morning, pervert.
Estimating that Wen Yang was probably still groggy or gearing up for his part-time job, she waited a moment without a reply, shrugged it off, and straightened her back, stretching.
“Where did Lily go…?”
She mumbled to herself as she sat up, threw on her coat over her pajamas, and turned her head to the empty side of the bed: “She’s not sneaking off to play with toys, is she?”
Honestly, Lily was just the type to do that.
The bedroom door wasn’t closed, and Ning Chu could faintly hear sounds coming from outside.
She slipped on her pink slippers, yawned, and wandered into the living room, where she immediately spotted Lily in the open kitchen, busy in an apron.
“Up so early…”
“Cooking.”
There was a supermarket shopping bag on the kitchen floor, probably from Lily’s early morning grocery run.
What a diligent little succubus~
Ning Chu tiptoed up on a bar stool outside the kitchen, resting her chin on one hand as she watched Lily prepare breakfast. “Need any help?”
“Nope.”
Wondering which lucky guy would marry such a dutiful wife… She could handle things in the kitchen and be cold and aloof outside. She truly knew how to balance being a lady and a fun gal.
Aside from the potential risk of draining a guy’s kidneys, she had no other faults!
“What’s cooking?”
Ning Chu leaned in, her stomach already growling at the enticing smell.
“Burgers. Is Xinya awake?”
“Not yet, still sleeping like a pig.”
“Mhm. After breakfast, I’ll teach you how to put on makeup.”
Lily cooked two beef patties, then heated the buns in a skillet. She looked up and asked, “Are we leaving this afternoon or tomorrow?”
“This afternoon?”
While it was nice staying at Lily’s place, she did miss the comfort of her own little space.
Just then, Lily’s expression suddenly stiffened. She put down her cooking tools with a serious face: “You fry an egg. Just put it all together.”
“Hmm?”
“Gotta go to the bathroom…”
Lily hurried off, her head down, as she rushed toward the bathroom.
Seeing her legs squeezed together and that awkward gait, Ning Chu instantly understood what the little demoness was up to.
She must need to use the toy hidden in the bathroom cabinet…
If it weren’t for the fact that there were guests around, Lily would probably pull out some little gadget from a corner of the kitchen right then and there!
Ning Chu hopped down from the stool, scampering into the kitchen herself.
Though she’d never cooked much, frying an egg and assembling a burger wasn’t exactly rocket science for her.
Though her egg turned out a bit messy…
Ning Chu carefully assembled the burger, holding it with both hands and taking a big bite.
Not bad!
The beef patties Lily had bought were high-quality, packed with rich meaty flavor and plenty of juiciness.
Starving to d*ath, she gobbled down the small burger in just a few bites and washed it down with a drink of cold milk, letting out a sweet sigh of relief.
After washing her hands, Ning Chu sprinted to the bathroom, but as she reached the door, she realized how it had been over ten minutes. Lily hadn’t finished yet?
Did succubi have super-sensitive bladders or something?
If it were her, she would’ve been done in a few minutes! But Lily, with her playful nature, probably had a higher threshold and still hadn’t wrapped things up even after breakfast.
Standing outside the bathroom door, she could faintly hear enticing little gasps from inside.
Hearing that, her face flushed embarrassingly, but thinking back to how Lily had teased her the night before, she bit her lip and gently knocked on the door.
The sounds inside immediately stopped. Even through the door, Ning Chu could envision Lily freezing up, a look of panic on her face.
“Lily~ I need to use the bathroom!”
“……”
“Lily?”
“Use the bathroom in the bedroom.”
The tone was still cool as ever. Just listening to Lily’s voice, most people would probably imagine her as a sophisticated, aloof lady that matched her looks.
But what this girl was doing was anything but sophisticated.
“Alright~” Ning Chu stifled a laugh and turned to head into the bedroom.
In the bedroom, Yan Xinya was still fast asleep, though her curled-up tail position had transformed into a “big” character pose, lacking any semblance of ladylike grace.
Ning Chu glanced at the wolf girl on the bed and dashed into the bathroom.
The bathroom in the bedroom lacked bathing facilities, serving only for toilet use or face washing and brushing teeth, and was much smaller than the one outside.
Even so, she envied it.
Fighting with her brother over the bathroom every day when they were kids… They had nearly come to blows several times.
And in winter, when she was snuggled under the covers, the thought of trekking far away to use the bathroom was just a hassle.
If she were to rent or buy a place in the future, she wouldn’t settle for anything less than a bedroom with an attached bathroom, even if it wasn’t as huge as Lily’s flat!
A bathtub for soaking would be amazing too!
After taking care of her personal hygiene, Lily soon joined her in the bedroom.
A blush still lingered on her cheeks, and avoiding eye contact with Ning Chu, she walked over to the wardrobe, opened a drawer, and pulled out various bottles and jars of makeup.
“I’ll teach you how to apply makeup.”
“Yay!”
Ning Chu leaned forward like a curious child: “What’s foundation for?”
“Is sunscreen a makeup product too?”
“The last time I tried to do my makeup following a tutorial, I ended up looking like a ghost…”
Lily reached the makeup table in the room and motioned for Ning Chu to sit down.
“Will we disturb Xinya here?”
“Nope, Xinya is a pig.” With that, she turned on the lights on the makeup mirror.
She’s clearly a husky!
Ning Chu thought to herself before again sporting a look of curiosity: “What’s this for? I’ve never seen a mirror with lights…”
Lily, inundated with all sorts of questions, had no clue where to start. To her, many of these inquiries didn’t seem like they required explanations.
Holding her lips together, she examined Ning Chu closely.
Even if no one taught her about skincare and makeup at home, wasn’t she bound to pick up something from classmates growing up?
And that long hair of hers down to her waist… She even got called out for it being dirty if she didn’t wash it every three days…
She couldn’t hold back any longer: “Are you really a girl?”
Ning Chu instinctively straightened her back, nerves getting the better of her: “Of course, I am!”
“Can’t tell.”
