“Ning Chu, it’s four o’clock.”
When Yan Xinya and Lily returned from shopping, Ning Chu was still sitting in front of the TV, glued to the game screen.

Ning Chu replied, tidying her somewhat disheveled outfit from their playful chase and catching her breath before heading to the elevator.
She reached the entrance and put on her shoes, curiously asking, “What if someone just takes the elevator and shows up at your place?”

Her old house from the last century was lucky to even have an elevator.
Yan Xinya asked, “Ning Chu, are you heading straight back to your rental apartment, or back to school?”
“Back to the rental.”
“Hey! The elevator’s here, Lily, where are you going?”
As the elevator arrived, Lily suddenly turned around, hurried back to the bedroom, and moments later, came running back holding a bag, shoving it into Ning Chu’s hands.
“……”
“What’s this?”
Yan Xinya peeked in, but Ning Chu quickly covered the bag opening: “It’s the cosmetics Lily gave me. She said she doesn’t use these and they might expire.”

The ride stopped outside the village where the rental was located. Ning Chu stepped out of the car, and Yan Xinya rolled down the window, waving goodbye: “See you Monday~”

With bags in both hands—one with her changed clothes, and the other with the cosmetics—she could only nod at Yan Xinya.
Watching the car drive away toward the school, she began to fret over her shopping bag.

As she spoke, he casually picked up the two bags from her feet: “I’ll wash your clothes, they haven’t been washed, right?”
Ning Chu instinctively reached to grab them back, but forced herself to restrain that suspicious behavior.
Her heart raced suddenly.
“What’s in this bag?”
Nervously stepping inside, she feared Wen Yang would discover the toys in the bag and answered somewhat anxiously, “Cosmetics Lily gave me. Just leave them on the table.”
“Cosmetics?”
Wen Yang opened the bag and peered inside.
“……”
