### Chapter 24 – Pretending It’s Our First Meeting
For Night Star Lan, she would never voluntarily go to explore a strange city, not even if it meant leaving home.
But the random teleportation of the Rising Sun Theater gave her the chance to play tourist in an unfamiliar city.
Exploring new cities with friends can be pretty fun, in case anyone was wondering. That’s what Night Star thinks anyway.
In response to Night Star’s inquiry, the Group Leader said, “We don’t stay in one city performing all the time—that’s not our style. Since we’ve already left our mark in this city, it’s time to move on.”
Where they ended up wasn’t up to him, and he had no specific target cities in mind. Any new place would do.
With that, according to the rules, the Rising Sun Theater selects random destinations.
No one knows quite where they’ll end up—that’s part of the mystery.
That’s exactly why Night Star was curious.
Because uncertainty sometimes brings surprises after all. And Night Star isn’t averse to surprises—not scary ones, at least.
The Group Leader continued, “Though we’re preparing to change locations, it might take some time. Please be patient, dear Audience Performers.”
“Ummmmm…”
Night Star recalled the last teleportation. She didn’t move right away after the performance. It seemed like a few days later, but who could tell?
Meanwhile,
Night Lan led White Fish and the others around Qi Yuan City, checking out five major entertainment districts in a single day.
Of course, they didn’t visit everywhere; they only went to places that interested them.
If they were to experience everything the entertainment districts had to offer, it would probably take a week or even a month.
Only at dusk did Night Lan manage to have the four Lolis “tick off” all five entertainment areas.
For instance, they created game accounts in the game entertainment area, visited an exhibition in the calligraphy and painting district, watched a movie at the film and television district, went to a nightclub in the music district, and finally headed to the dining entertainment area for dinner.
Today’s schedule was packed tight.
Night Lan observed their grins and noticed they seemed really happy.
Star Yoon was holding a brand-new gaming console from the game entertainment area, looking like she hadn’t had enough.
“Star Yoon has decided—she’s going to spend a whole day fishing in the game entertainment area if given the chance.” Yep, that’s quite a goal.
And Zero Meow had a bold idea—or rather, a goal—after touring the exhibitions at the calligraphy and painting district.
She wanted to put her own work on display in an exhibition someday, especially those… suggestive artworks.
That would feel so impressive!
As for Neko Shinna, she was still thinking about the dining entertainment area.
There were many skilled chefs there. There were even more whose skills outmatched her own.
If possible, she’d love to chat with those talented chefs about culinary insights.
White Fish had nothing on her mind as much.
It just felt so fun and enjoyable to shop with friends.
Compared to those entertainment areas, she cherished the moments closer with Night Lan even more.
Then, Night Lan led White Fish and the others to a thinly populated alleyway. Smiling, he said, “It’s getting late; let’s head back to Yun Chang City, and get to know members of the Rising Sun Theater.”
Upon hearing this, the three Lolis—excluding White Fish—started feeling nervous.
Not to mention Zero Meow, who knew exactly who these people were. Neko Shinna and Star Yoon also understood, from the grand performance they just watched, how impressive the theater members were.
Being around impressive people always made them nervous.
Even Zero Meow couldn’t help clutching Night Lan’s clothes for a sense of security.
“Muuuu… Are we really going?”
“Of course! Don’t you want to meet the Audience Performers?”
“How about just meeting the Audience Performers then, Nya?”
“Nope.”
Night Lan was speechless facing this cowardly Zero Meow who cowered precisely when they needed courage most.
Didn’t she sneak her here to see the Rising Sun Theater in action?
Now she crumbled at the thought of meeting them in person?
Night Lan shook his head in exasperation. Zero Meow was such a letdown.
He patted her head encouragingly, trying to bolster her confidence.
“Relax, all the members of the Rising Sun Theater are super friendly. I guarantee they won’t attack you.”
“If Night Lan says so, Nya… Let’s make a move!”
This was no time for backtracking. Zero Meow really wanted to meet the Audience Performers.
So even if she had to face the group members too—well, that was just additional training she’d face head-on.
Seeing them gather up their nerve, Night Lan didn’t waste time anymore.
“Theater Door, open!”
Instantly, a black Theater Door appeared on the wall of the alley, emitting a faint eerie glow.
“Follow me.”
Night Lan led the way, followed closely by White Fish, without hesitation.
Zero Meow, Star Yoon, and Neko Shinna braced themselves and stepped forward as well, ready to face whatever came next.
Their nerves remained high the entire time.
The scene shifted.
In the dimly lit interior of the theater, the group of theater members stood on stage, as if having waited long.
Night Star had already informed the theater members that she was bringing her friends.
It made perfect sense that they were waiting.
Night Star whispered to the theater members, “These are my friends. They were watching the grand performance earlier. Please don’t scare them, okay?”
“Understood. As dear Audience Performers, they will be treated kindly.”
The theater members welcomed Night Lan’s group warmly.
Night Lan’s companions, including Zero Meow, saw the theater members and grew even more apprehensive.
Without hesitation, Night Lan pushed forward.
Soon, Night Lan reached Night Star with Zero Meow and the others in tow.
The Group Leader spoke first.
“Hello ladies, welcome to the Rising Sun Theater. I’m the Group Leader here. Just call me ‘Group Leader.'”
“Muuuu…”
Upon hearing the leader extend greetings, Zero Meow instantly shrank behind Night Lan, though she still mustered the courage to say, “Hey, hello…”
White Fish, Star Yoon, and Neko Shinna politely greeted the theater members too, appearing very courteous.
Such conduct already earned approval from the Gentleman.
The Lolis were almost the same size as the Audience Performers and naturally gained favor due to their politeness.
Watching this, Night Star figured it was time to speak.
“Hello. I’m a friend of Night Lan. You can call me Audience Performer. Nice to meet you.”
Her voice matched Night Lan’s.
To prevent Zero Meow and the others from noticing a discrepancy, she subtly altered her tone, a trick taught by Kong Yu Bai.
She didn’t want to reveal the truth—Night Star and Night Lan are the same person—just yet.
Perhaps she’d share it later.
