Trapped in Paradise – Chapter 327

### 344. Cultivating a Qualified Female Protagonist

Is Zhang Shaoqing going to turn into a girl?

Who knows, right?

If it was something written before the time travel, the chances might be pretty high. But this short story was penned later on.

Ning Chu didn’t have much time to ponder this dilemma. Just after a shower, her brain turned to mush under Wen Yang’s relentless advances, and she fainted, rolling her eyes into oblivion.

When she finally woke up, it was already eight o’clock.

Sniffing the rich aroma of meat, Ning Chu groggily stared at the ceiling, rubbed her flat little belly, and realized she had an extra set of pajamas on. Only then did it dawn on her that Wen Yang had tidied her up inside and out last night.

Following the enticing smell, her hazy gaze landed on her desk, where she discovered Wen Yang was already having breakfast.

Seriously? Does being a main character and an author make him this excited? He nearly worked her to d*ath!

At least she’s a succubus. The exaggerated descriptions in her “Little Emperor Wen” didn’t just manifest in her but also didn’t cause her any harm. Otherwise, she would’ve probably ended up in the hospital, at the very least.

Biting her tongue in frustration, she couldn’t muster the courage to speak and regretted not taking Wen Yang’s advice to get a ball gag from the shop downstairs…

“Up yet?”

Hearing noise, Wen Yang turned around, looking at her with a gentle smile: “I bought some meat buns. Time to get up for breakfast?”

“I can’t move, I’m sore all over.”

Honestly, the pain was pretty mild, almost something Ning Chu found oddly pleasant. Yet her body was too weak and soft to get up.

Lost in thought for a while, her mind suddenly fragmented back to reality, and instinctively she reached for her phone.

Phew, thankfully, no calls from her mother.

Even though she tried her best to stay quiet last night, she still worried she might have disturbed the peace and gotten a complaint.

Ning Chu let out a sigh of relief and continued to lie in bed, waiting for her body and brain to regain their composure.

“These meat buns are pretty good! I also got some pies and soy milk.”

“Just leave it there, I’ll eat in a bit.”

Stretching lazily, she twisted her body on the bed and yawned.

Turning over, she sat up, leaned against the headboard, took the meat bun Wen Yang handed her, and hesitated about getting up to eat.

“Don’t get out of bed; we have to wash the sheets anyway.”

She looked down at the messy bed sheets and stuffed a bite of the meat bun into her mouth, feeling a bit sheepish.

Yep, every time they ended up making a mess out of the sheets…

“So, uh… are you okay?”

“Me? What could possibly be wrong?”

A night passed and Wen Yang still didn’t seem too affected by the truth.

But after a glance into those worried, beautiful eyes, he understood Ning Chu’s anxiety and explained again, “Twenty years of life cannot be fake, and I’ve read your novel. The plot has nothing to do with the current me…”

“Stop right there!” Ning Chu’s face turned beet red as she interrupted him, “Don’t bring up my book!”

Wen Yang nodded, yet a teasing smile crept onto his face. “We must respect the original work. How about we act out the plot together?”

“!!!”

Ning Chu’s eyes widened in disbelief.

No way! You want to place all the supporting characters’ plotlines on me?!

Then she’d truly become the female protagonist of that “Little Emperor Wen”!

“You wrote it, after all.”

“No! Absolutely not! Pervert!”

She shook her head vigorously in refusal, her head blurring into remnants as she crossed her forearms in an X-shape in front of her: “Not happening! Don’t go filling your head with GHS! What’s the difference between you and that j*rk from the book?!”

Seeing her flushed cheeks, Wen Yang couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

“Still laughing!”

Just knowing how to bully people!

Ning Chu angrily kicked Wen Yang’s waist: “I’m going to take a shower and then head back.”

“First, have breakfast.”

“Okay.”

She sat cross-legged, draping her coat over her shoulders to keep warm, munching on breakfast while a huge weight lifted off her chest.

Keeping secrets didn’t feel good at all; it made her dread the day Wen Yang would find out the truth and storm off in anger… After all, the hardships resulting from Wen Yang’s parents’ passing were merely her male protagonist’s “character setup” that she jotted down.

Now, everything was out in the open~ and Wen Yang didn’t mind.

The only problem was, Wen Yang wanted to turn her completely into a female protagonist…

Ning Chu held the warm soy milk in her hands, using its heat to warm her cold fingers, and said, “I’m visiting Lily’s house this afternoon. She’s home alone and keeps calling me to hang out.”

“This afternoon? That fast?”

“Yep, it was pre-scheduled. Xinya is going too.”

Wen Yang nodded, slightly regretful: “How many days are you staying?”

“Two days? Depends on the situation. It won’t be too long, though; the New Year’s is just a week away.”

The timing was perfect for both of them to cool off for a few days. Otherwise, doing naughty things every day would be taxing, and Ning Chu was worried she’d get addicted.

But Lily’s house seemed pretty dangerous too… tons of big toys, and Lily was eager to market them to her.

At that point, must keep away from gaming consoles, and don’t believe a word Lily says!

After finishing breakfast, showering, and putting on her going-out clothes, as soon as Ning Chu was ready to step out, Wen Yang tossed the dirty sheets into the basket, waiting until they returned later for cleaning.

“Want to come over for lunch?”

“Sure.”

“Let’s take the subway back~ totally broke~”

Luckily, she had just received payment for her novel, so although Ning Chu had been spending like a big shot lately, she still had quite a bit left.

The two of them strolled down the stairs slowly, walking along the narrow streets of the town.

With her worries settled, Ning Chu was in high spirits, swinging Wen Yang’s hand back and forth, slightly raising on her toes, her steps light and sprightly, humming a tune that barely resembled a melody.

“Wen Yang, it’s a bit cold.”

“Do you want my coat?”

Her eyes were darting around, sizing Wen Yang up, her steps slowing a little as she stealthily dropped behind him.

Suddenly, a hand came crashing down from above, dipping straight into her collar, the icy palm pressing against her back, causing her to jolt and nearly squeal.

“Wen Yang!”

Wen Yang took off running; he was already caught off guard last time by this sneak attack, so this time he was definitely going to strike first.

Just look at that mischievous glint in her eye! Little succubus was up to no good again!

“Stop running! What’s wrong with warming my hands?!”

Ning Chu chased after him, flustered. But with Wen Yang standing at almost six foot three, his long legs covered double her distance with each stride. After a few steps, she realized she couldn’t catch up at all.

Gasping for air, she suddenly went, “Ouch!” and squatted down on the spot.

Wen Yang, always keeping an eye on her, quickly stopped, suspiciously approaching her from a few meters away: “What’s wrong?”

“I twisted my ankle; it’s all your fault~” Ning Chu mumbled, head down, hands clutching her ankle, looking pitiful.

“Then I…”

“Need to buy ice cream!”

Shooting up, she reached out to grab Wen Yang’s shirt, but he reacted quicker, dodging her attack and sprinting away again.

“Ah!!!”

“Quit faking it, how childish!” Wen Yang shouted from a distance, “That same trick doesn’t work on a Saint Seiya!”

Ning Chu was wincing, her face pale: “You’re still making memes! This time I really twisted my ankle…”

Getting drowsy, if there’s time, maybe more updates… or I’ll continue when I wake up in the morning.
