352. Barbecue
Whether male or female, everyone has some physiological needs deep down; it’s just instinct.
Instead of seeking out a bar, a one-night stand, or engaging in those illegal, morally dubious activities that could also lead to diseases, toys are certainly a much cleaner and more hygienic option for self-pleasure.
Even if someone finds out, the worst they’ll think of you is that you’re a pervert. At least you won’t end up in a detention center!
This is especially true for a pure-hearted succubus like her. When her partner isn’t around, toys are definitely the best option.
Ning Chu had convinced herself.
And then she regretted it…
“What about Wen Yang~”
She leaned softy against the bathroom wall, her body back to normal, a wave of regret washed over her, waking up her brain.
“What am I doing? This is too much, right?”
She sighed as she glanced at the toy, feeling like a perverted mess; the overwhelming sense of shame was tearing her apart inside.
Just a few months ago, she was a guy. How did she fall into this so quickly?!
It was all Lily’s fault!
Just this once – she swore it wouldn’t happen again.
If Wen Yang found out… that guy would definitely be eager to try new things, and she could barely handle him as is. Add these other items into the mix, and she was definitely going to be in trouble.
Dragging her tired body, Ning Chu cleaned up the bathroom and wearily returned to her bedroom, flopping onto the bed.
But her brain felt disturbingly awake, no longer restless and itching to do something, which certainly cleared her head.
“Came here to chill with Lily…”
And instead, she opened a new world.
After lying down for a few minutes, she stood up again, took a deep breath, and plastered a blank expression on her face before stepping out of the room.
Lily and Yan Xinya were sitting on the sofa in the living room. They looked up in unison as they heard her open the door.
Ning Chu had prepared herself, but the teasing glances from those two made her cheeks flush a deeper crimson.
She mimicked Lily’s nonchalant attitude and walked straight towards her bedroom.
“Looks like you really got led astray.”
“Uh-huh.”
“Such a true succubus~”
The two girls whispered on the couch, their voices carrying straight into Ning Chu’s ears, making her instinctively quicken her pace as she hurried into the guest room.
After a moment, clutching some clothes to change into, she hurriedly made her way back through the living room, head down, heading to the bathroom for a shower.
“I took a peek and maybe it’s a bit small? Wen Yang has no problem with it~”
“Just that one hasn’t been opened.”
“Is Ning Chu going to end up liking these things too?”
No way! Absolutely not!
Ning Chu could hear them loud and clear, internally fuming as she dashed into the bathroom.
Luckily, when she came back to the living room after her shower, both Yan Xinya and Lily were acting completely normal, not bringing up the earlier conversation at all.
Maybe they knew that continuing to tease her would only drive her crazy.
“What’s for lunch? Lily~”
Yan Xinya leaned closer to Lily, her tone sweet and whiny: “I’m so hungry~”
Lily turned her gaze towards Ning Chu, her eyes asking the question.
“I’m fine with anything.”
Ning Chu had no thoughts on lunch. She curled up on the couch, hugging her knees, staring vacantly at the movie playing.
She was still trapped in a swamp of regret.
Sure, she had given it away for free, but she could pin the blame on Wen Yang; this time, she had opened the door to a new world herself.
Yan Xinya, who was both clueless and loves to drink, chimed in: “I want something good! Let’s have some drinks together, girlfriends~”
“Hmm, barbecue?”
“Absolutely! Ning Chu! You in for some drinks?”
“Drinking at noon… what kind of drunkard?” Ning Chu scrunched her brows, somewhat resistant, but still nodded her head.
Here, no one worried about the safety of drinking too much; having a drink with the Wolf Girl was no big deal.
Just a little tipple to forget all about what happened this morning!
Act like it never happened at all.
Seeing her agree, the Wolf Girl quickly opened the takeout app, ordering two cases of beer.
“I’ve got some at home.”
“I can’t get used to wine and stuff.”
“Mm.”
Ning Chu sighed softly, holding her phone while staring out at the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows, daydreaming.
As the year-end approached, fireworks occasionally decorated the sky in this city where they weren’t banned, with the distant sound of firecrackers crackling away.
Her building was high, and the view was great; it would be the perfect spot to watch fireworks on New Year’s Eve.
She really wanted to watch fireworks with Wen Yang, just like in movies or anime, snuggled up together admiring the colorful display from afar. Even just sitting quietly together; that scene was something to be longed for.
Too bad fireworks weren’t allowed in her part of town…
“What are you thinking about?” Yan Xinya suddenly crawled over from the other side of the couch, her tail swaying behind her, “Fireworks? What good is that in broad daylight? You can’t even see them!”
“After the New Year, let’s get together again! We can light some fireworks!” Wolf Girl suggested.
But Ning Chu shook her head, “No way, I’ll be busy after the New Year.”
“True~ And then there’s visiting relatives; ugh, I’m going to get bombarded with questions from a bunch of strangers! Just thinking about it is annoying.”
Just the thought of family visits made her frown.
“Takeout’s here!”
Yan Xinya perked up the moment she heard the knock at the door, her wolf ears twitching, and she quickly sprinted to open it.
The grocery and barbecue takeout had arrived.
The barbecue was raw; the meat was pre-marinated and came with sauce and lettuce. Ning Chu wouldn’t have ordered something needing cooking if she had the chance.
Lily brought out a frying pan and an induction cooktop from the kitchen, setting it up on the coffee table, naturally taking on the role of chef.
“Let’s drink!”
Yan Xinya was beyond excited, her tail wagging furiously. Without waiting for the barbecue to be ready, she popped open a bottle of wine and chugged down a decent amount, her face quickly turning a lovely shade of red.
“Cheers~”
“Cheers, but drink less.” Ning Chu helplessly took a sip, reminding her, “Don’t drink so recklessly outside.”
“I’m only drinking with friends~ Don’t worry! I can handle it!”
As if anyone had forgotten how she cried her eyes out after being harassed by the instructor… which conveniently turned her into a girl.
“Lily~ come here!”
“I’m cooking the barbecue.”
“Come drink with me~ We have nothing to do in the afternoon and evening, so it won’t affect anything~”
“Alright.”

The elevator doors opened.
Returning home after so long, the woman couldn’t suppress her grin.
I wonder how my daughter has been doing at home? I’ll surprise her!
But the place was oddly quiet…
She carefully took off her high heels, tiptoeing, peeking around the entrance wall, glancing into the living room.
“!!!”
The first thing that hit her nose was the strong smell of alcohol, and what came into view were three utterly wasted girls sprawled out on the sofa, completely out cold.
Where’s my sweet little girl?
