431. Do You Want to Become a Magical Girl?!

A faint glow emanated from her magic wand, bathing her body in a shimmering light. As it flowed over her, her battle outfit transformed into starlit sparkles, revealing her fair skin.
Ning Chu stared, dumbfounded, at the completely n*ked girl before her.
Isn’t there supposed to be some holy light blocking the view when a magical girl transforms?
Oh right, this is a magical girl from her own story, the Little Emperor Wen… well, that makes sense.
Qian Qian’s complexion turned even redder as the light swirled around, coalescing into a JK uniform that magically appeared on her body.
“Okay, okay…”
The magical girl awkwardly turned her head away, too embarrassed to meet Ning Chu’s shocked gaze.
“Uh, so I’ll let Wen Yang in now.” Ning Chu walked toward the door, yet her eyes lingered on Qian Qian, unable to resist asking, “What’s going on?”
Reality is different from fiction—while she had set certain elements as a writer, it still required some explanation from Qian Qian.
“Let Little Black explain.”
“That cat?”
“Yep! I’m Qian Qian, a college student, part-time magical girl.”
As she opened the door, Ning Chu turned back to say, “It seems like you and Wen Yang know each other well, so I won’t introduce myself.”
“Sure.”
Wen Yang, still confused about the situation, stood outside looking at the two girls inside. “What’s going on?”
“It’s just a misunderstanding.”
He paused for a moment, didn’t pry further, and handed Ning Chu a cup of milk tea and a hand-held pancake. “Late-night snack.”
Now that one worry was off her mind, Ning Chu’s smile was much sweeter than usual. She happily took the snacks and gestured to Qian Qian and Little Black, “You two can sit wherever.”
“Okay!”
Qian Qian plopped down at the head of the bed, her nose twitching as it caught a waft of something potent in the air.
Looking down at the bed sheet beneath her, the blotchy white and dark stains made her expression shift to one of awkwardness. She anxiously fiddled with her skirt, not sure what to do.
Ning Chu saw where Qian Qian sat, and her face instantly turned beet red.
She opened her mouth, but since Qian Qian wasn’t saying anything, they just agreed to pretend nothing happened.
“Little Black, can you explain the situation?”
“Leave it to me!”
“I can’t?!”
Wen Yang nearly grabbed a broom to beat the tiny demon when Little Black spoke up.
But Ning Chu quickly caught his wrist. “Think of Black Bean; it makes sense.”
“Well… that actually does make sense.”
The little couple sat side by side on the sofa, while Little Black leaped onto the coffee table, licking its front paws as it explained.
“Technically, I should erase your memory, but it seems unnecessary at this point.”
“There are creatures from another world that occasionally drop into ours. They invade human bodies, disturbing social stability; we call them evil demons.”
So basically, tentacle monsters?
Ning Chu pondered while munching on her hand-held pancake and sipping her milk tea.
“Every time an evil demon appears, I contract a girl to give her magical powers. Once the evil demon is cleared, the girl’s mission ends, and she will lose her magic and return to normal life.”
“Because the power of a magical girl comes from the corresponding evil demon.”
Qian Qian nodded. “Yeah, last year, it suddenly approached me and asked me to become a magical girl, and I agreed…”
“Later I met a mentor and found out that all the evil demons were tentacle monsters, and if you lose the fight… Managing to hold on once or twice isn’t so bad, but if you can’t and get overwhelmed…” She shot a glare at Little Black, “If I had known, I would never have agreed!”
Though Qian Qian looked shy, Ning Chu’s mind was already conjuring images of “Qian Qian X Slime.”
With just a few simple descriptions, she had a general grasp of the magical girl and evil demon setup.
Honestly, Lily would be perfect as a magical girl… that succubus’s experiences are already pretty wild. Losing once or twice might actually make her happy.
“So, you all thought I was the evil demon before?” Ning Chu feigned ignorance.
“Broadly speaking, you are indeed an evil demon. Qian Qian’s magic comes from you.”
That’s true; evil demons are all tentacle monsters from another world, and she’s a human from another realm.
But she still felt a bit confused and asked, “What do we do about this now? Isn’t it said that the magical girl’s mission can only be accomplished by defeating the corresponding evil demon?”

Ning Chu rushed over too. “No way?!”
What the heck! Is a tentacle monster really coming for real this time?!
Following Qian Qian’s gaze to the distance, she caught sight of a rather inconspicuous meteor streaking down from the sky under the cover of the torrential rain.
“That direction…”
“It’s the school,” Qian Qian replied.
Could that be the tentacle monster from the story?!
Little Black perched on Qian Qian’s shoulder, turning to Ning Chu. “There’s another slot for a magical girl; you…”
“I don’t want it!”
“You can fulfill a wish…”
“Absolutely not!”
Ning Chu interrupted Little Black again, shaking her head vigorously.
Even though the magical girl’s abilities might surpass those of the succubus, allowing her to defeat the Little Emperor Wen, she had no intention of fighting a tentacle monster! Winning is one thing, but losing… well, that ending was too terrifying!
