457. PE Class
Afternoon PE class.
Maybe it was due to the differences between boys and girls, or perhaps Ning Chu had gotten lazy ever since she transformed into a girl—she had never been much into sports, and now she felt her stamina was nowhere near what it used to be.
The PE class required a slow jog for two laps, a total of 800 meters. But after just one lap, she found herself trailing at the back of the pack, just like Wang Jie.
By the time she finished those two laps, she was huffing and puffing, collapsing against Wen Yang, gasping for air.
“You really should exercise more,” he said, supporting the tired Little Succubus. As he combed through her messy hair with his fingers, he teased, “Maybe you’ll get a little stronger by evening, so I don’t have to keep holding back.”
“No way! When have I ever held back in the evening?”
Ning Chu, although breathless, proudly shot back, “Wang Jie can’t run faster than me!”
“That’s a low bar to compare against~”
“I suspect Wang Jie is just that useless, not that his girlfriend is amazing!”
Finally catching her breath, she sat up straight and grabbed a bottle of water. After taking a few big gulps, some spilled down the side of her mouth, wetting her shirt.
But she shrugged it off casually, wiping the droplets away with the back of her hand. Turning to Wen Yang, she asked, “My horns have grown quite a bit, haven’t they?”
“Yeah, but not too noticeably. You wouldn’t notice unless you looked closely.”
“That’s good.”
Her horns sprouted from the sides of her head, bending backward like the shape of a goat’s, but the tips weren’t too sharp, allowing her to sleep flat without discomfort. If she slept on her side, the curled horns just set at a certain angle, which she got used to.
“I’m going to keep training now.”
“Go ahead!”
Ning Chu gave Wen Yang a playful smack on the back. “Just don’t embarrass yourself later!”
“If you need anything, come find me at the basketball court.”
As she watched Wen Yang head toward the court, her eyes began to search for her best friend. She scanned the playground but suddenly spotted a lone girl sitting under a tree in the distance.
Qingqing?
Wait a minute, this girl was someone she had passed by every week in PE class—yet she had never noticed before!
Even though there hadn’t been many PE classes this semester, Qingqing barely made a presence, despite being clearly very pretty.
Ning Chu tilted her head in confusion at the easily overlooked supporting character and turned her attention back to finding Lily.
But Lily was nowhere to be found, and neither was Qian Qian. She guessed these two magical girls had disappeared into some corner to exchange tips.
She was really worried that Qian Qian might lead Qingqing astray…
Zhang Shaoqing had also run off to play basketball, while Wang Jie was huddled on the grass with a group of boys. Suddenly, Ning Chu realized she was completely alone.
Standing dumbfounded, it hit her just how few friends she actually had.
Should she just go to the basketball court and watch Wen Yang instead…
After taking a couple of steps toward the basketball court, she suddenly spun around and headed toward Qingqing.
That girl was a bisexual!
In a place where Beast Ear Girls were everywhere, a bisexual was truly a rare gem! She couldn’t help but quell her curiosity!
Sitting alone in the shade, was Qingqing perhaps rewarding herself in secret?
With mischievous thoughts about Qingqing swirling in her mind, Ning Chu casually sat down in the shade nearby.
She pretended to play with her mobile phone, but after a while, she couldn’t help but sneak a glance at Qingqing. To her surprise, their eyes met at that moment.
They both hurriedly looked down.
A moment later, Ning Chu boldly raised her head to look at Qingqing.
This bisexual girl had delicate features, her thin face displayed a hint of masculine contouring that gave her a striking handsomeness. But her eyebrows were always slightly furrowed, conveying an air of anguish and gloom, while her vigilant eyes darted around like a rabbit trapped among wolves.
Her body was slender, with long, slim legs stretching out from under her short skirt, wrapped in thick leggings. The upper half of her body was clad in a white long-sleeve sweater, creating an almost strangely flat appearance.
Indeed, she was a very special person.
With a strong feminine aura mixed with subtle male traits, there was nothing off-putting about it—Ning Chu felt as though she was seeing a reflection of her past self in Qingqing.
This first impression made her like Qingqing even more.
Adding to that was the memory of what she had witnessed a few evenings ago—lots of LSP! Instant upgrade in points!
“Hi, I’m Ning Chu.”
Qingqing’s shoulders jerked slightly as she timidly looked down, her cheeks instantly flushing red. She squeaked, “Y-You, hello.”
Her gaze fluttered nervously, and she brought her legs together tightly, her expression flustered and anxious.
She recognized me.
Ning Chu scooted a bit closer. “Don’t be nervous; I won’t tell anyone. Just making a friend~”
“……”
“Since you’re here alone and everyone else is busy, why not chat a bit?”
She instinctively wanted to curl her legs up, but then remembered she was wearing a skirt and quickly set her legs back down. “What’s your name?”
“……”
Qingqing remained tense, eyeing her warily.
Ning Chu sighed in exasperation. “I’m a Succubus… your little issue is child’s play for a Succubus.”
Time to drop the act and just be a Succubus—though it felt a bit shameful.
Qingqing peeked at the horns on Ning Chu’s head, remembering the wild reputation of Succubi. Suddenly, her body relaxed a little. “Qingqing.”
“Oh~ Qingqing… You didn’t think I was here to blackmail you or something, did you? Why so tense?”
Ning Chu laughed, inching a bit closer—and now they were only about half a meter apart.
Being nearer allowed her to observe Qingqing even more closely.
The girl kept her head down, only daring to steal glances at Ning Chu before quickly averting her gaze, appearing so cautious it was almost painful to watch.
The stares from others seemed to make her quite anxious. Whenever a passerby glanced her way, she would visibly stiffen until they looked away.
“W-What do you want?”
Qingqing’s voice was soft and sweet, just like any regular girl.
“Nothing much! I thought you might be a Succubus too, so I just wanted to say hi,” Ning Chu casually lied.
“Nope.”
“Want some milk tea? My treat~”
Qingqing shook her head, eyes still glued to her feet.
“How about we add each other on WeChat?”
Another head shake.
Ning Chu awkwardly played with a strand of hair.
She wasn’t really one for making the first move in friendships, and Qingqing was incredibly hard to crack. She had no idea how to bridge the conversation.
No wonder she had no friends; everyone else clustered together in PE, while Qingqing sat alone in the corner.
Would suggesting something risqué be too forward?
Ning Chu decided to quiet down, yawning and pulling out her phone to read a novel.
She’d gotten close enough to satisfy her curiosity about bisexuals.
