Prologue – She is the Warrior Goddess of the Elves
“Holy Oblivion” – Tillysha has always had mixed feelings towards this hereditary weapon. Since awakening her powers, she’s been suspicious of this weapon, and after recovering most of her memories, she remembers rarely using this weapon most of the time she could remember.
It feels like a foreign object in her body, causing her physiological rejection.
She can’t remember how this weapon appeared in her body; she only knows it has been inseparable from her since her awakening and has been used several times as the ultimate weapon.
This divine weapon has never let her down, effortlessly destroying everything, including herself.
The bricks of the city wall didn’t break; they simply disappeared, as if the area near the city gate had never existed.
The gloom on the battlements seemed like spilt ink, flowing into the pure white water, spreading and staining.
The ‘things’ lurking within sensed that their prison of all these years had broken, and they started to stir. Tillysha could smell their excitement and readiness to act.
At this moment, deep within the Tiansuo City, a pair of bl**d-red eyes opened. On a pile of bones, a silver-haired girl slowly stood up, gazing far toward a certain direction, her eyes filled with resentment and complex emotions.
“You’ve finally come.”
“Tillysha…”
At the same time, she also sensed a very strange aura.
This aura sent a soul-resonating echo toward her, making her instinctively want to approach and investigate.
This day has finally arrived.
Horned, robust demonic races with purplish-black skin, fully-armored skeleton knights, one-eyed giants dragging iron chains, and many other demon races that they had never seen nor named gathered at the breach of the city wall, facing them, staring at each other. The air seemed to freeze.
The Holy Oblivion turned into black matter and vanished in Tillysha’s hands. She crouched on the ground, frowning, trying to conceal her discomfort from these monsters as much as possible.
Her face remained calm, but her hands were trembling.
Apparently, the backlash from Holy Oblivion was getting more severe each time.
The demons within the city wouldn’t wait for Tillysha to adjust her state. They had previously dared not move because there was a terrifying presence outside the city capable of splitting barriers. Now, they could clearly perceive that the power which destroyed the city wall had disappeared with the destruction of the wall. After a brief hesitation, the demons erupted in celebration and chaos.
The barrier that imprisoned them for a hundred years had finally disappeared. These demons, sealed away all this time, their few remaining shreds of rationality had been burned away by the passage of time. Now, they were left with only the most primal desires to destroy and k*ll on this continent.
At this moment, with all the barrier checkpoints in the Demon Realm destroyed by Tillysha, Ruglien was now open. If these demons were to escape, they would spread in all directions, endangering the Caleburn continent.
Tillysha finally understood why these demons, after invading the old continent, remained inactive. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to act; they couldn’t act.
They were trapped in their respective realms, and internally, they were also very disunited.
Four hundred years was enough time for these demons to form territories similar to “countries.”
These large and small territories had varying levels of class hierarchies, inevitably causing exploitation and confiscation.
The once victims had become perpetrators. The dragon slayers had become dragons, unaware themselves. After one or two generations, it seemed as though this was their inherent privilege from birth.
After a few hundred years, the ruling class was basically fixed, and the slaves suffering under harsh conditions revolted, toppling those who exploited them.
A flash of lightning crossed Tillysha’s mind; she seemed to have grasped some details.
The current situation didn’t allow her to think further, as the demons were moving.
Princess Filisia had once imagined what the scene would be like on the day the demons invaded the continent again and considered what she should do at that time.
But when the vast demon army was right in front of her, she realized that imagination and reality were two different things. She had underestimated the so-called demon army after all.
This army, filled with various unheard-of demons, was a massive black cloud. Just standing there and glaring at them gave her immense pressure and fear.
In battle, morale is crucial. Courage is also important. These determine how much strength a soldier or a general can exert in battle. Those who retreat without fighting, their fear overtakes them even before the enemy charges.
This massive demon army conveyed a sense of doomsday. The skeleton warhorses screamed, the giant’s dull roar was like the embodiment of d*ath.
At that moment of eye contact, this experienced knight understood she was no match for them. Even an unnamed foot soldier could k*ll her effortlessly.
She couldn’t help but think: this was the same force that devastated half of the continent those years ago!
They were much longer-lived than the empire, surviving even after the war ended!
Good news was that, according to Tillysha’s estimation, the demons in Tiansuo City were not a united bunch. Their internal conflicts were abundant. But the bad news was, at this moment, they had temporarily allied to unite in breaking out of their prison.
The demon army didn’t even look at the elves and humans in front of them. In their eyes, these small fry were beneath consideration. They were consumed only by their expansionist desires and the will to conquer and destroy the world. These desires were pure and absolute.
A tall skeleton horse with blue-flaming eyes reared up, its hooves pounding. The skeleton knight on it pointed his sword towards the unconquered land ahead, issuing the order to charge to his soldiers.
A team of skeleton cavalry followed their general at the forefront, rushing forth like the speed of sound. They were like drawn-back crossbows, and it was no exaggeration to say that any city standing in their path would instantly turn to ruins.
These were the Skeleton Shock Cavaliers, one of the high-level demons. They once crushed several scattered small nations just through their charges. Only walls made of obsidian-polished jade could withstand their attack. To them, other walls were just piles of rubble, collapsing at the slightest touch.
Princess Filisia swallowed her saliva, standing in the path of the Skeleton Cavalry’s charge, while the two smaller ones in her group shrunk behind her, not daring to look up in the face of this irresistible momentum.
At this moment, a figure appeared in front of them.
The gold-haired elf girl stood lightly and calmly before the demon army. Facing countless elite demons within the city, her face remained calm, as if this scene was something she had been accustomed to seeing.
The skeleton cavalry rushed past like a storm, leaving afterimages in the air.
The captain leading the charge suddenly felt his horse couldn’t move forward anymore. Perplexed, he tilted his skeleton head from side to side, looking around and discovering that his horse couldn’t advance no matter how hard he tried.
Looking back, he saw someone had tightly gripped the reins of his horse.
Not only his, but also all of his soldiers’ horses.
The skeleton cavalry were astonished seeing the back of the gold-haired elf who stopped them all with just her bare hands, her back still turned to them, utterly amazed.
“Sorry, you’re not allowed to leave your prison without permission.” By the time they heard the end of the sentence, both they and their horses had already been flying through the air.
Tillysha pulled the reins of a team of skeleton cavalry, swinging them around like a slingshot in the air, making them do circular motions. She then released the reins, smashing the entire team of skeleton cavalry back, toppling the demons blocking the breach.
Apart from Aistride, everyone, including Yimi, watched this with awe.
Tillysha’s smile curved gracefully, but her eyes held no warmth, her emerald eyes devoid of any emotion.
The Flower Bow transformed into a Willow Longbow, arrows of verdant fragrance exploding in the sky over Tiansuo City, raining down like fireworks, showering petals.
[Warrior Goddess Decree – Blossom Shower]
“Boom Boom Boom!” The gloomy clouds above Demon King City were replaced by verdant showers of flowers. The raindrops falling on the demons’ bodies acted like dissolving liquids. No matter how strong their realms or how tough their bodies were, they would turn into pools of pus.
The demons were terrified, unable to evade.
At this moment, they even forgot who among them were demons.
“Everyone, rest in peace.” Tillysha clasped her hands in prayer against her chest. Dozens of sprouts converged on her arrow, like roses blooming, wrapping around her arrow. Several beautiful roses bloomed at the arrowhead.
[Overcharged Release – Blossom Shower]
The arrow shot into the sky like a meteor. After a brief moment of silence, it exploded like a sun in the sky. Suddenly, the rose-wrapped arrows poured down like a torrential rain.
The cries of anguish and trembling filled the city. These demons who had destroyed countless countries finally remembered.
They had once crushed empires, kingdoms, and principalities, easily moving into the Elf Forest, believing they could conquer the elves like they had the humans. But they found a tough nut to crack.
The Elf Warrior Goddess – Tillysha.
After the Warrior Goddess struck, the previously invincible demons were forced to retreat, questioning their demon lives.
Although the ambushes in the forest by the elf army were hard to handle, their fighting power wasn’t too strong. However, the elves had an existence that could fight alone as an army.
If she hadn’t been assassinated by a black spear, the demons would have never smoothly invaded the Elf Forest.
It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that as long as she lived, the elves wouldn’t lose an inch of land.
Four hundred years later, at the moment of their slaughter, they, too, understood the helplessness their kin felt facing this golden-haired demon.
A shower of flower deity rain left only the sturdy city walls standing. The demons within the city were almost all wiped out.
Behind her, everyone was stunned, speechless.
They knew Tillysha was strong, but they didn’t expect her to be this powerful.
This was the demon army that once swept across the continent! Was it all wiped out by a single Divine Authority?!
After the storm, Tillysha, carrying the Flower Bow, calmly and confidently stepped into the breach.
After a brief hesitation, the rest of the team followed Tillysha.
Princess Filisia was now wondering how the elves could have been forced to relocate despite having such a powerful Light Race member?
The only one who didn’t show any surprise was Aistride.
After entering the city, her focus wasn’t on Tillysha but on the distant royal palace, silent.
After entering the city, Tillysha sensed a familiar aura. This aura was a bit mixed, seemingly not from one source, but too vague for her to discern from who it came or how many people emitted it.
But one source was quite clear.
Tillysha looked unblinking at the direction of the royal palace.
“Princess Filisia, you all go check if any demons in this city survived. Give them a merciful blow.” Tillysha said these cruel words with a calm tone.
These demons wouldn’t last long; those hit by Blossom Shower died instantly. Even those who smelled it or touched the water were severely injured, at least becoming vegetable-like.
It was more than enough for Princess Filisia and her group.
“I understand.” Princess Filisia nodded, realizing the next events and battles were beyond her level. Thus, leading Wenfu and Yimi away.
What went unnoticed was that Aistride glanced at the departing Princess Filisia, heading in the opposite direction.
When everyone had left, she was alone.
That was good because next, it was business between herself and “her.”
And the other party was also in sync, knowing she had arrived and was moving towards her direction.
Tillysha, holding her long kn*fe, walked through the ruined city streets and alleys, stepping over the demon bodies, walking through this sea of corpses and bl**d, all the way to the royal palace.
Two figures appeared at the corner of the city gate, moving in perfect synchronicity, looking at each other at almost the same moment.
One gold, one silver; one taller, one shorter.
The remembered Ifen had changed.
For instance, the skin of a grey elf should be slightly dark, but after being demonized, it turned purple, with horns on the head that the grey elf never had, and her eyes became bl**d red.
So, the language of the High Demon Race was a variation of the elf language, because the High Demon Race began as elves.
She stood at the entrance of the palace, emitting an ominous aura, almost blending with the giant building behind her, turning into a breathing beast.
She saw Tillysha, or perhaps, she had foreseen Tillysha would come.
Observing Tillysha’s figure, her eyes filled with a mix of mockery, nostalgia, and resentment.
“It’s been a long time.” Tillysha said with a calm expression. “Ifen.”
“Yes, it’s been a long time, my ‘dear sister.'” Ifen smiled, her tone filled with mockery.
“Surprised?”
“Surprised? No, I guessed you would resurrect, and I guessed you would eventually come to find me.”
“Four hundred years, it’s not long for elves or demons, but it’s not short either.” Ifen used her talon unlike an elf to lift a strand of her silvery-gray hair, her mouth twisting with mockery.
