I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic – Chapter 57

057. How to Dress as a Girl?

==============================

Lin Nan was barely able to accept the whole dressing as a girl thing.

But when it came to his level of acceptance, it was only in the context of Chen Yao’s coercive persuasion—dressing up alone in the house! The key point? No one else but Chen Yao was allowed to see him, he mustn’t look ugly, and he could only tolerate it for a few brief minutes—about ten or so.

This could be considered a form of self-entertainment, but a full-time girl-dressing life? Now that was a whole other kettle of fish.

During his short half-hour of cross-dressing at Chen Yao’s house last time, Lin Nan had already experienced a whirlwind of emotions: excitement, joy, thrill—most of these feelings didn’t even belong to him! He’d even entertained the thought of living life as a girl indefinitely. Sure, that was only for half an hour and had the magical perk of making him look acceptable, but what if he had to do it all day? Who knows what kind of girly mindset he’d end up with!

Even if he didn’t, what if he became addicted to those strange emotions and the flood of dopamine?

Lin Nan’s face had turned pale from the pain in his abdomen, but the memory of Chen Yao staring intently at his chest made him flush uncontrollably.

“Aren’t you able to use magic too?” Lin Nan decided to ask Li Na for help.

However, Li Na had a completely different stance on this issue. She was actually hoping Lin Nan would become a girl, serving as a chance for Lilith to be resurrected! Who knows, maybe the resurrected Lilith could fix her past terrible personality and stop being “the witch.”

So, she firmly shook her head and declared, “Magic is precious! You can use it without concern since you’re inheriting Lilith’s legacy, but if I overuse it, I won’t be able to return to my world!”

“I don’t believe you would just go with the flow and use sanitary pads…”

“I’m not familiar with you!” Li Na turned her head, huffing.

As if she had forgotten who had rubbed up against him the second time they met. One might think she was just a decorative accessory!

At least now he knew the solution; Lin Nan didn’t need to worry too much about suddenly dropping dead from accumulated “monthly discomfort,” since Li Na would probably help rescue him when the time came, right?

Well, he hoped so! But who really knew what Li Na was thinking? Lin Nan certainly couldn’t put his life and well-being in her hands.

Worrying, he returned to the dormitory and walked in to find Chen Yao absorbed in a game.

He went straight back to his spot and grabbed a heating pad, placing it on his belly.

Unlocking magic required him to live a day in girl clothes. If Chen Yao wasn’t in the dorm, it’d be fine! He could simply buy a couple of instant noodle packs ahead of time, and if he dressed as a girl, no one would see.

But Chen Yao was back in the dorm now…

Plus, Lin Nan’s soul carried a hint of Lilith’s essence, making his standards for looking like a girl sky-high. He was severely dissatisfied the first time he dressed up, which led him to unlock the transformation magic.

The female transformation magic, after all, wasn’t like a passive ability that just enhanced his reflexes; it only lasted for around thirty minutes. So to maintain his girl-dress all day long, he’d need makeup, clothing, and a hairstyle.

He had none of those…

Chen Yao glanced back at Lin Nan, noticing he seemed even more withdrawn than before he left.

“Who did you go to find?” he curiously asked while continuing his game.

“That girl from before.”

“Li Na?” Chen Yao, somehow aware of her name, paused thoughtfully before shaking his head. “She’s a bit strange; you’re better off not getting too close.”

Lin Nan was baffled by Chen Yao’s opinion and looked at him curiously.

Chen Yao clarified, “It’s been said she’s a transfer student, but quite a few people think something’s off with her.”

“What’s off?”

Lin Nan believed Li Na could enroll simply by using magic, maybe misleading the principal into thinking her family sponsored hundreds of thousands? Or she might have altered some records—having magic means you can definitely tinker with things in this society!

Lin Nan was also planning to use magic to resolve his identity issue once he fully transformed into a woman, ensuring there was no way to turn back.

“It’s more about the fact she seems a bit too enthusiastic toward you, so I specifically asked her classmates.” Chen Yao played basketball often, so he knew more people and heard some things through friends of friends.

“They say she’s kind of odd, doesn’t get along with her dorm mates, her personality is weird, and her values are…”

Lin Nan thought it made sense for people to find Li Na strange. After all, she was from another world, so of course, there would be significant differences from Earthlings.

Yet he agreed with Chen Yao—it was best not to get too close.

Just after a single interaction, Li Na had already persuaded him to use magic and live life as a girl for a whole day!

Lin Nan was still wrestling with the feasibility of that idea.

Who knew if using that so-called Purification Magic would take away his stomach pain?

In Lilith’s memories, she never seemed to worry about period pains—probably because she was loaded with passive magic. Like a hero in a game filled with buffs, she was strong and healthy; she hardly ever caught even a cold, let alone dealt with menstrual cramps.

Even if he did have to live as a girl for a day, he still needed girl clothes, right?

Not just any clothes, but pretty ones! Otherwise, he’d end up feeling inexplicably sorrowful like last time he dressed up.

Sitting at his desk with one hand supporting his chin while browsing the internet, Lin Nan contemplated.

Having been more feminine for over a month, plus the influence of Lilith’s soul, his aversion to dressing as a girl wasn’t as strong as he’d thought. When shopping last time, he had even found himself fascinated by girl clothes and unable to look away! But the problem was, he feared that after a day of girl-dressing, he might become even more integrated with Lilith.

Almost unconsciously, he began searching online for various beautiful girl outfits and possible wigs that would suit his face shape.

“For my face shape, I should be able to pull off most hairstyles that aren’t too weird, right?” Lin Nan muttered, only to be reminded of his slightly masculine jawline. “I should go for long hair; it could help cover up…”

He sighed anxiously. Even if he truly decided to dress as a girl, the question remained—how would he explain it to Chen Yao in the dorm?

“Are you planning to dress as a girl?” Chen Yao appeared behind him, peering curiously at the screen.

Startled, Lin Nan jumped and hastily hit ALT+F4, closing the page in a flash.

Flushing with guilt, he denied it vehemently, “No! I was just looking for a new outfit and accidentally clicked on a girl’s clothing page!”

“Then why are you looking at wigs?” Chen Yao quizzed, tilting his head at Lin Nan.

Totally at a loss for how to explain!

Lin Nan stammered, unable to get a coherent word out, his face burning as if he had been caught in a shameful secret.

Seeing that Chen Yao seemed ready to say something else, he suddenly stood up, keeping his head down and bolting to the balcony.
