133. What’s Wrong with Men Being Perverts?

This is truly infuriating!
Ever since Chen Yao discovered the tangled mess between Lin Nan and Li Na, he’s been fuming to the point where smoke could practically sh**t out of his ears. And thinking back to the last time Lin Nan dressed as a girl, he fears there might be some outrageous leverage against him.
Li Na is way too good at this! The fact that Lin Nan is actually a girl is something he only stumbled upon during a chat on QQ over the National Day holiday, so how did this secret get leaked?
As far as he knows, the people who know Lin Nan’s secret are just him, Lin Nan’s parents, and the doctors who did her medical examination—maybe even her little uncle, who she’s been hanging out with lately.
Could it be that Li Na is some sort of hacker?
Although Chen Yao’s understanding of hackers comes entirely from snippets he’s read online, he figures a so-called hacker could easily invade Lin Nan’s phone and computer and find out about their conversations.
Or maybe it wouldn’t even need to be that complex; just implant a virus, and voilà!
He was so agitated that the next day he woke up ready to confront Li Na about it.
But then Lin Nan’s words popped into his mind.
“If you go and hit her, you’ll definitely get punished or even detained, right? If she gets upset, who knows, she might just blow my cover to the whole school…”
The image of Lin Nan’s pitiful little eyes paired with those weak words twisted Chen Yao’s heart in sorrow.
Why did he have to find himself in this situation?
With a long sigh, he got out of bed and glanced at Lin Nan, who was still sound asleep on the opposite bed.
Last night they had switched from head-to-head sleeping to foot-to-foot, so thankfully he wasn’t having any weird dreams—like the one where Lin Nan was desperately trying to get a hug, and he coldly refused.
But Lin Nan seemed unaffected by the situation. After sharing everything, she was out cold within two minutes, while he lost sleep thinking about it until the early hours, only falling asleep when he was too exhausted to keep his eyes open.
He reached over and grabbed Lin Nan’s ankle that was poking out from under the blanket, giving it a shake: “Get up, time to wash up and head to class.”
“Ugh, wait, can’t get up~” Lin Nan let out a sleepy mew, sounding like a little kitten.
Seeing she had no intention of getting up, Chen Yao was about to hop out of bed to wash his face when he suddenly realized that Lin Nan’s ankle was so smooth and soft.
He looked down at the cute little foot that was as white as jade, and it was like he got zapped by electricity; he quickly yanked his hand back.
Never in his life had he seen a foot that could be described as cute.
He was a leg man, but he felt like he was starting to lean toward foot appreciation.
“Thank goodness being a pervert isn’t a bad thing for men…” he mumbled, glancing at the time. It wasn’t even 7:30 yet, but as a member of the basketball team, their coach usually called them for practice half an hour early.
They had been lucky in the previous basketball games, not having faced any strong opponents, and now they had made it to the finals. If they continued to win, they might get to represent their school in inter-school competitions.
Although the selection for the school team might be based on their performances, Chen Yao thought he had a pretty good shot.
After tidying himself up a bit, he pushed Lin Nan’s issues to the back of his mind, grabbed a bottle of water he had left from the typhoon weather, and stepped out.
Around 8 AM, Lin Nan finally stirred awake, still drowsy.
Stretching, he felt pretty proud of his performance from yesterday when he had pulled one over on Chen Yao.
He was getting better at fooling people; though he still couldn’t do it with a straight face like Tu Junhui, at least his nervousness wasn’t showing anymore.
He looked at Chen Yao, who looked utterly dazed from the trickery.
If only Chen Yao could actually defeat Li Na.
Just last night, Lin Nan had another dream where he transformed into Lilith, experiencing all her past escapades. The dream was so absurd that it had him on edge all night; even after a full night’s sleep, he still felt groggy.
Maybe he should just skip class today?
He quickly opened his phone’s gallery to find the class schedule and saw that the morning classes weren’t crucial, and the teachers almost never took attendance.
But even so, he looked over at Tu Junhui across the room and said, “Skip?”
Tu Junhui, who had just been sound asleep, suddenly perked up and nodded eagerly, “Let’s skip! I was gaming until 3 AM; I’m dead tired!”
With a partner in crime for skipping, Lin Nan felt like he could confidently ditch class: “What about Bear Bro?”
“He sleeps even later than I do,” Tu Junhui smirked, “Every time we game together, he plays for even two hours more than I do. Seriously, I’m afraid his eyes will turn into Sharingan.”
Even though it felt kind of unfair to ditch class when Chen Yao had already left early, Lin Nan still happily dove back into bed.
Tu Junhui, who had just been complaining about sleepiness, bounded out of bed cheerfully once they confirmed they were skipping class, quickly slipped on a short-sleeve shirt and shorts, and hopped out—no washing up, straight into gaming.
Lin Nan was almost the same. He had originally planned to continue sleeping, but after lying there for a moment, he got up and sat in front of his computer, doing absolutely nothing.
Even then, he didn’t have any thoughts of heading to class but started pondering again about how to unlock magic.
Asking Chen Yao for a princess carry didn’t seem too impossible, but bringing it up felt way too embarrassing.
He couldn’t dance either, and confessing felt even more outrageous than asking for a princess carry.
So, how about flirting with a guy to confess?
His roommate was a bit tricky to handle since they were so familiar.
Besides, using allure magic would make the other person comply, but once they snapped back to reality, it would create an awkward situation, especially with a roommate.
Lin Nan was still deeply troubled; unlocking these magic spells had a way of clashing with his modesty limits.
Especially imagining confessing or dancing in front of people felt painfully embarrassing.
With Chen Yao deciding to help him with the Li Na situation, Lin Nan wasn’t too anxious about it anymore, and he didn’t feel the rush to unlock magic since he still had a few days before Friday—plenty of time to prepare.
He left Li Na a message online, saying he’d respond before the weekend, then booted up PUBG to play a game and blow off some steam.

But the thing is, that magic only helps with straight-on gunfights. What’s more crucial is vision and hearing, and Lin Nan’s computer screen was only 15 inches across, with no headphones… He was dropping like flies and dying before even seeing his opponents, and sometimes getting shot down by an old coin lurking around the corner… averaging five minutes each round, including waiting and parachuting.
And some players even liked to taunt him over voice chat after killing him.
He almost cried from the unfairness.
Next time, he needs to set up some eagle-eye and supersensitive hearing to help play!
