241. The Quirky Lin Nan
==============================
The girl was in a panic trying to dodge the boy’s embrace, but in an attempt to escape, she ended up smashing her forehead against the bed frame.
Dazed from the sudden pain, she felt his arms wrap around her slender waist.
In that instant, her body froze in shock, her eyes widened in disbelief.
Her skin, seemingly against her will, flushed a bright crimson, bombarded by the overwhelming masculine scent and the wave of embarrassment crashing into her brain, leaving her utterly blank.
She faced away from Chen Yao, his body almost glued to her back, and she could even feel the heat from their bodies pressing against each other.
After what felt like an eternity, she thought Chen Yao had woken up and was intentionally teasing her, but he remained still, his arm just heavily draped over her waist.
Was that all? Just a change of position?
Lin Nan didn’t dare to turn around, terrified that any movement might wake him. All she could do was close her eyes and repeatedly cast magic to calm herself down.
It somewhat worked, but she could only maintain her composure for a few minutes before her body would react again to the thick waves of masculine hormones.
She didn’t know if other girls were as sensitive as she was, but being new to this female form, she found those strange physiological reactions quite unsavory.
After waiting a bit longer, her repeated use of magic left Lin Nan more fatigued, and she started experiencing headaches. Only then did she confirm that Chen Yao was sound asleep.
She managed a sigh of relief and carefully pushed his arm away from her waist.
At last, her body had some freedom to move. With a soft exhale, she turned around and maneuvered Chen Yao into a more comfortable position on his back.
This made things a lot easier.
Her racing heart finally began to simmer down.
But magic unlock occurred from a good night’s sleep…
She lay there, trying to fall asleep, but Chen Yao’s warm breaths nearby prevented her mind from calming. Images of the adult animation she accidentally stumbled upon on Chen Yao’s computer began to intrude her thoughts, and she helplessly imagined the heroine’s figure superimposed with her own.
Then her mind wandered to the wild nights of Lilith…
Would that feel—really feel good?
Lost in her thoughts, she felt her body reacting again, but the magic had been overused, leading to her throbbing headache, and she had no energy left to calm her body down.
Her mind was a mess, bits of chaotic images flashing through her head, and her body’s reactions grew stronger, but perhaps due to poorly managed magic use, she began to feel progressively more dazed.
…
Early Morning.
Chen Yao dreamt he was entangled with a massive, grotesque Cthulhu-like tentacle monster, being dragged into dark waters. Just as the seawater rushed into his nostrils, threatening to suffocate him, he jolted awake.
As soon as he woke up, he sensed something was off.
He indeed felt… trapped.
He lowered his head slightly and looked at the arm draped over his chest, felt the weight on his hips from where a thigh pressed, and the hefty head resting on his shoulder.
The girl beside him was wriggling uneasily, and he could faintly hear her heavy breathing.
“???”
Chen Yao turned to his side, only to find Lin Nan’s exquisite face mere inches away, her slightly parted rosy lips releasing soft breaths.
Still asleep?
Her brows were knit tightly together, her skin exposed from her pajamas reddening, as if she was having a nightmare. However, after a moment, her brow relaxed, and her expression brightened.
Chen Yao was utterly confused, although he vaguely remembered Lin Nan lying beside him last night.
Must have had another nightmare, seeking out safety.
But this is pushing it a bit, isn’t it?!
He attempted to move but realized he couldn’t get up without waking Lin Nan.
“Chen Yao, it’s time to wake up for breakfast.”
A gentle knock came from the bedroom door, and it creaked open a crack. His mother peeked inside, “Don’t wake Nan Nan…”
“Mom!”
Chen Yao quickly called out, halting her from closing the door.
She poked her head back in, “What? Ready to have some kidney to boost your health? Did you use protection last night?”
“It’s not what you think…” Chen Yao sighed, “I don’t want to wake her, could you help a bit?”
If he woke Lin Nan in this situation, they would probably be embarrassed all day.
His mom reluctantly stepped inside, taking in the sight of the neatly arranged clothes and the two of them, noting Lin Nan’s boldness while her son just lay there, completely unaffected.
If it weren’t for the ongoing pandemic, she’d absolutely drag her son to the hospital for a check-up.
Or maybe her son prefers guys?
Carefully, she turned Lin Nan onto her back, relieving Chen Yao from his binds so he could finally sit up and stretch his body.
“I’ll wash up first. What are we having for breakfast?”
“Hold on, I’ll toss some oysters and kidneys into the congee.”
As he watched his mom leave the room, Chen Yao sighed in despair—he felt sore all over even though nothing happened!
And given the usual morning physiological responses, he felt so uncomfortable he couldn’t even go to the bathroom.
What kind of madness was this girl up to?
Casually, he draped a blanket over Lin Nan, but moments later, he saw her, still half-asleep, hugging the blanket, rolling onto her side, wedging the blanket between her legs and gently rubbing against it.
Am I thinking too raunchily about this?
Rubbing his head, he realized if he stayed in the room any longer, he might just lose it. He hastily got up and bolted from the bedroom.
About half an hour later, as Lin Nan neared the end of her dream, she suddenly woke up.
She blinked her eyes, dazed, glancing around, but saw no sign of Chen Yao.
Feeling an inexplicable emptiness in her heart—perhaps it was because she had never experienced something like that before, so her dreams only got slightly heated… she actually felt a bit regretful.
Giving her head a hard shake, she tried to shake off the dream images, but as soon as she sat up, she felt clammy and uncomfortable all over, especially around her rear…
She really sweated a lot last night.
With a sigh, she realized that even though she mentally rejected it, her body just wouldn’t listen to her brain’s commands and kept acting up in ways that were hard to describe.
Last night’s dream was also…
There was a slight chill in her stomach, so Lin Nan stood up and headed to the small bathroom in her room to change into some fresh underwear, only to suddenly realize her period had come.
Thanks to the magic that hastened her body’s development, her periods weren’t very regular, so she had grown somewhat accustomed to this sudden arrival. Thankfully, the bathroom was stocked with pads, which came in handy.
First, a bit of Purification Magic.
