I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic – Chapter 363

368. Classmates’ Perspectives【20/99】

==============================

Chen Yao hadn’t slept at all that afternoon.

He had previously marveled at how elegantly Lin Nan could snore, but once she fell into a deep sleep, those snores became earth-shattering, completely indifferent to whether she was a beautiful girl or a rough-and-tumble guy.

On top of that, after a few drinks, this girl let loose completely, tossing and turning without a care in the world. By the end of it, both her hands and her entire body ended up sprawled over his chest, like an octopus firmly hugging him.

He could barely breathe, let alone sleep.

Finally, around four in the afternoon, Chen Yao couldn’t take it anymore. He gingerly laid Lin Nan back on the bed and sat up on his own.

With a long, drawn-out sigh, he lamented that the whole afternoon had been a trial for him.

Generally, when a girl finds herself in such a surprise situation, especially after a few drinks, shouldn’t it lead to some spicy scenarios? Why was he getting none of the perks?

Though as long as Lin Nan was happy, that was fine, right?

He picked up his phone to check the time again, getting ready to head to class.

Just as he got off the bed, Lin Nan’s slightly muffled, whiny voice drifted over, “Where are you going?”

“To class, of course! I can’t just spend the whole afternoon sleeping while you doze off, can I?” Chen Yao turned around, grinning as he bent down to gently ruffle Lin Nan’s hair, comforting her softly, “Get some more sleep. I’ll be back by six. What do you want to eat?”

“Hmm… not hungry,” Lin Nan yawned, making some incoherent noises as Chen Yao patted her head. She wriggled slightly on the bed and hugged all the blankets like they were a plush toy.

“I mean, what do you want to eat…”

“Can you turn my roses into pancakes?”

Lin Nan still had her mind on wrecking that bunch of roses.

Chen Yao couldn’t help but chuckle as he neatly tucked Lin Nan’s blanket around her, watching her drift off into a peaceful slumber under his touch.

Oh, this girl, how could she be so cute?

So cute that he wanted to…

He picked up a book from the desk in the bedroom and tiptoed out, carefully closing the door behind him while stealing a glance at the messy coffee table.

Fortunately, Lin Nan seemed to genuinely like the gift.

Too bad it seemed that her preference lay not in the romantic ambiance, but in steak…

After tidying up the coffee table a bit, Chen Yao walked out the door and made his way to the classroom where his 4 PM class was held.

Stepping into the classroom just as the school bell rang, he spotted the teacher already calling the attendance and hurriedly took a seat beside Tu Junhui.

Noticing Chen Yao’s slightly worn-out expression, Tu Junhui gave him a knowing smile, “Tough afternoon, huh?”

“Just a bit uncomfortable,” Chen Yao flopped down in his chair, “Lin Nan is way too clingy.”

“Tsk tsk, you really think she won’t get angry if you say that about her?”

Chen Yao shot him a weird glance, “I mean literally–she’s clingy.”

“??? What?”

Tu Junhui was perplexed about what embarrassing antics the couple had been up to that afternoon, but judging by Chen Yao’s hesitant gait, it was clear he was drained.

Plus, Lin Nan wasn’t even in class today, which was worth pondering.

“So, where’s my fancy goblet? Xiong Da and I are supposed to come over to your rental apartment after class to help you set up and cook steak. What’s in it for us?”

“Nothing! You think you’re doing me a favor fixing your roommates’ relationship problems?” Chen Yao retorted bluntly.

“Lin Nan,” the teacher suddenly called out her name. Chen Yao’s expression turned serious at once, ready to respond, but then he heard a strange voice from behind, “Here!”

It was the sort of voice that came out sounding like a eunuch or a duck, making everyone burst into laughter.

The entire class erupted into joyous chaos.

Even more absurdly, the teacher didn’t bat an eye and continued calling out names.

Chen Yao turned around and spotted Big Dog sitting not far behind, completely unfazed by the entire class laughing at him. Instead, he wore a smug smile and waved at Chen Yao.

“Hey, Chen Yao, remind Sister Nan to help me level up when we get back.”

“I knew she’d pull this stunt again,” Chen Yao chuckled, “You’re still playing Hearthstone, right? I was in the top hundred last season.”

Big Dog immediately jumped up from the back row and scampered over to sit next to Chen Yao, “Holy cr*p! You’re a legend! Why aren’t you playing this season?”

“Since I got a girlfriend, I’m kind of broke—can’t afford card packs anymore…”

“Tsk tsk, how did you manage to score such a hot girlfriend?”

Why does everyone act like I’m totally unworthy of Lin Nan just because she’s mine?!

Chen Yao glared at him, and Big Dog quickly switched his tune, “But hey, if she’s that beautiful and you managed to win her over, that’s impressive!”

“d*mn!”

But speaking of it, since the class found out Lin Nan was a girl, there hadn’t been much discussion about it.

Sure, there was more chatter those first couple of days, but after that, it was pretty crickets. Even when he flaunted their relationship, it hardly stirred anything more than some half-hearted sighs about how a nice cabbage had been pushed over by a pig.

Big Dog seemed to have taken it all quite well too.

Curious, Chen Yao asked him about it.

“Well, Sister Nan is just that pretty, so I got used to it, you know? I’d already been seeing her as a girl for a while now, so it makes sense. I guess others might think the same, plus they haven’t played with her much, so they wouldn’t know if she’s a boy or a girl.”

The biggest reaction actually came from Lin Nan’s few roommates.

While he was speaking, Chen Yao suddenly grabbed Big Dog’s wrist, trying to pull him away, but when he pulled, Big Dog ended up getting yanked right back down.

Big Dog’s eyes went wide, “Chen Yao! I’m not that kind of guy! I need at least three hundred a day!”

“Only need two more runners for the 4X100 relay, and you run pretty fast usually…”

“I’m not fast at all! My back and legs are old!” Big Dog shot back without missing a beat, “Bro, it’s not like you can’t run it alone!”

“If you participate, I’ll help you win at Hearthstone—how does that sound?”

“Where’s the registration form? I’m in! Chen Yao, that’s not fair, you think I’m the type to get bribed?! ” Big Dog eagerly grabbed Chen Yao’s phone and began filling out the form, “By the way, my milk tea shop opens on May 1st, bring Sister Nan over for some support?”

“Discounted to 10% off everything! Just enough to give a little something back. There’ll be drinks, snacks, and games, like billiards and computers! Junhui, Xiong Da, you guys should come too!”

Tu Junhui puffed out his cheeks, “I’m not going if you don’t call me ‘bro’!”

Big Dog conveniently forgot about that and, while filling in the registration form, pushed the girl in front of him, “Hey, my milk tea shop opens on May 1st, 10% off, don’t forget to come!”

Chen Yao sighed in resignation, watching him clown around. He rubbed his own aching lower back, feeling like it was a lost cause.
