I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic – Chapter 387

392. The Sudden Attack of an Old Classmate【28/99】

==============================

Some time ago, Lin Nan contemplated whether to utilize Lilith as a prop for shooting videos.

There are plenty of food challenge videos online where contestants consume quantities that could satisfy three to five people, and sometimes even more. Yet, those big eaters typically resort to purging after the meal to maintain their figure.

Realistically, those who play it straight are just on their way to becoming full-blown chubsters.

Lilith, being a drop-dead gorgeous girl with the inexplicable ability to eat, would be a front-runner for the year’s top 100 content creators if she filmed a food challenge video. If luck was on her side, she could practically pave her way to internet fame.

Lin Nan suspected that Li Na must have messed up during Lilith’s magical body transformation; otherwise, how could she devour a three-person meal and still not look pregnant? It was as if her stomach instantly converted food into thin air the moment it entered!

Soon, Big Dog brought out a variety of delicious snacks from the restaurant. He had sampled every item on the menu and deemed them satisfactory based on his taste.

But the customers had a different opinion.

He watched nervously from a nearby table, glancing at Lilith.

Lilith looked up at Lin Nan and Chen Yao, who were raising their phones, utterly baffled but not bothered. She picked up her chopsticks and began to feast.

A whole table of food was vanishing at a visible speed. Lilith’s mouth was like a bottomless pit, barely stopping between bites. Yet, surprisingly, she still managed to exude a sense of elegance, almost like a lady who savors every bite.

Lin Nan knew that she was already holding back for the sake of her image.

“How does it taste?” Chen Yao suddenly asked.

“Not bad! Most of it is decent, but I really like this bread sausage…”

“You mean hot dog,” Lin Nan corrected.

Lilith froze, staring down at her half-eaten hot dog, tilting her head in deep thought for a moment: “Doesn’t even look like a dog? Is it made of dog meat?”

Having lived here for such a short time, she still had gaps in her knowledge.

Quickly shrugging off her confusion like a small child, she continued eating while mumbling to Chen Yao about the taste of the food.

“This one’s not great. It smells good but is super dry and chokes you…”

“This shrimp burger doesn’t taste like shrimp at all.”

“The chicken wrap isn’t any different from the one at the burger joint next door, is it?”

Half an hour later, the table was a wreck. Only then did Lilith feel satisfied, burping and looking at Chen Yao, who still held his phone up.

She suspected Chen Yao was a little off in the head.

“What a shame! The filming was too rushed and the equipment isn’t great. Otherwise, we could’ve made a better video,” Chen Yao said, turning off the camera and shaking his head in regret. “Let’s see if we can edit it nicely later.”

Besides, Lilith was a bit flat-chested; if this video got some traction, maybe next time, they should use some padding for her.

“Boss, how much is it? Let’s settle up!” Lilith suddenly remembered the ice cream she brought in, now just a puddle of cream, and her face was literally screaming “heartbroken.”

The classmates who had come along under Big Dog’s invitation watched in awe as she devoured an entire table of food, murmuring in shock. Some even recognized her as the neurotic girl from the next class.

Some brave souls even approached to ask for her contact information, and Lilith, unfazed, nodded and smiled, handing out her WeChat.

Here’s hoping Li Na never returns.

That way, she could party all night long in this open-minded world!

Lin Nan noticed the excitement in her eyes, rolled his own, and suddenly remembered something, checking his phone for the time.

“Chen Yao, it’s two o’clock…”

“Hmm, what’s up?” Chen Yao looked at Lin Nan, confused.

“I have a tutoring session at two.”

Chen Yao was taken aback, then reassured her, “No worries, just call your student and give him a day off.”

“My two or three hundred bucks…” Lin Nan was nearly breathless at the thought, having just been lost in the excitement that Lilith might blow up online, only to be reminded of her current predicament.

“Wait, Nan Nan, you can still do tutoring?” Tu Junhui exclaimed, astonished. “What do you teach?”

“English.”

“But didn’t you almost fail English last year? How can you teach someone else?”

Already irritated, Lin Nan shot him a glare, her mind racing on how to recover that lost two or three hundred bucks from somewhere else.

Lilith, happily satisfied, paid and was about to leave. Big Dog was especially attentive to such a big spender; he only needed a few like her in a day to keep his establishment running.

Wearing a sycophantic grin, he escorted Lilith from the counter to the door, looking like a devoted henchman from the old days.

Lin Nan, while mourning over her own finances, sent a message to Pan Maoxin to give him a day off but hadn’t finished typing when her phone buzzed again with a notification.

Opening the notification, she was taken aback to see a message from a high school classmate. Just a glance at it made Lin Nan’s face darken.

It was Zhu Yong Wen.

“Hey, I’ll be visiting your place for a trip with my family during the May Day holiday. I’ll come to your school tomorrow to find you.”

Chen Yao, noticing her expression, leaned in to peek at her phone. His lips twitched, jealousy oozing from him as he asked, “You and Zhu Yong Wen are that close? He was asking about you at the last get-together.”

“Well, we were desk mates. Apart from hanging out with you, wasn’t I with him every day at school? You’re such a jealous person!”

Lin Nan rolled her eyes at him, then thought it over and typed a response to Zhu Yong Wen.

“Don’t come. I have work tomorrow.” To make her excuse more vivid, Lin Nan added a wry smile emoji, indicating she really wished to meet him but was powerless to do so.

“It’s been years since we last met. That excuse sounds a bit flimsy, doesn’t it?” Chen Yao frowned. “Why not just say you’re on vacation?”

“What if he just returns after his holiday tomorrow?” Lin Nan worriedly glanced at her outfit. “Last time I could pass as a cousin; what now? I can’t just tell him the truth!”

If it had been a relative, she might muster up the courage to swap genders, albeit hesitantly. But this was her high school classmate!

Tu Junhui leaned closer: “Why not just dress like a guy?”

Xiong Da nodded: “Yeah, dressing like a guy would work! You could wear a cap to cover your hair, or maybe a wig?”

Lin Nan swallowed hard and glanced down at her chest.

This was no longer a mere jacket that could cover it now that she was a lady!

“Why not try binding it down?”

Tu Junhui suggested again, but he was quickly booted aside by Chen Yao, who looked like he’d just hit a wall.

What if binding it down flattened her out for real? Lin Nan was already modest in that department!
