445. Late Night
==============================
The bedroom was pitch black. The girl was pinned down on the bed by the boy, only able to make out his silhouette.
“Maybe we should just forget it?” She trembled, biting her lip, her expression a mess of conflict.
Lin Nan was somewhat resistant, even instinctively using a bit of magic.
Chen Yao was baffled to discover that Lin Nan’s delicate hand seemed to hold immense strength, lifting his weight effortlessly, making it impossible for him to press down.
The heat of the moment waned a bit as he sat beside her, rolling his eyes in frustration, “Why are you backing out again?”
“Scared of pain…” Lin Nan quickly wrapped herself up in the blanket once he moved away, with only her pair of eyes peeking out timidly at him. “I heard it’s really painful.”
Chen Yao fell silent for a moment, a woeful expression on his face. “But we’re already all heated up! If you suddenly scream stop now, it’ll be like blue balls galore!”
“Is that really a saying?” Lin Nan was hearing this for the first time.
“And holding it in feels awful! We’re engaged, we’ve been together for half a year, known each other for seven or eight years, what’s there to be shy about…” Chen Yao looked at Lin Nan with a pitiful gaze, but unfortunately, in the darkness, Lin Nan couldn’t see his expression.
Lin Nan realized this guy wasn’t giving up on his intentions, so she curled up tighter, “I’m scared of pain! I’m not shy! Am I the shy type?”
Chen Yao instinctively wanted to nod.
“We’re best friends!” Lin Nan confidently twisted the facts.
“Yeah, I’m craving my best friend’s body,” Chen Yao nodded earnestly.
“Eww, you’re so creepy~” Lin Nan buried herself deeper into the blanket.
Her tense body was a mix of anticipation, fear, and a mountain of embarrassment swirling in her little brain, making her thoughts quite chaotic.
She wasn’t sure if she really wanted to go through with this. She had convinced herself countless times today and raised her expectations as much as possible, yet now, with the moment upon her, she hesitated due to fear.
Chen Yao sensed Lin Nan’s anxious heart, a smile creeping onto his face as he said gently, “I’ll be super gentle, I promise it won’t hurt.”
Completely ignoring everything else and feeling a little too frisky, Chen Yao desperately tried to persuade Lin Nan.
“No way!”
Hearing her rejection, he almost wanted to burst into tears.
Come on, you’re really playing with my heart here!
Fortunately, Chen Yao quickly came up with another tactic: “Then you’ve gotta let me let off some steam, right? Otherwise, it’ll just feel awful.”
“I’ll just step outside, you can handle it yourself.”
Lin Nan’s response left Chen Yao speechless for quite a while, but he calmed down and kept his persuasive mission going: “How about just a little cuddle?”
Lin Nan looked disgusted. “Ugh, you’re so weird~”
There’s nothing wrong with being a little weird!
Chen Yao justified himself in his mind.
As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he noticed a slight shift in Lin Nan’s demeanor with the faint light coming from outside the curtains.
So, he seized the opportunity, “I swear I won’t go all the way! Thunder will strike me dead if I do!”
Just as he finished, the sound of rain came pouring down outside, and the two of them went quiet, waiting for a moment before a flash of lightning illuminated the room, followed by a loud clap of thunder.
“Total coincidence,” Chen Yao confidently reassured her. “Look, we’ve known each other forever; have I ever lied to you?”
Lin Nan furrowed her brow in thought. She recalled that Chen Yao had indeed lied to her about a lot of things, but she couldn’t remember specifics.
Probably just some trivial stuff, right?
“Really, holding it in will feel really bad, and it’s not good for your health,” Chen Yao said seriously.
That sounded a bit familiar?
Lin Nan paused, knowing there was a higher chance this was some sort of trick, but seeing Chen Yao’s pitiful expression, she couldn’t help but soften. Trusting him, she peeked out from under the covers, “Really?”
“Yup! Really!” Chen Yao nodded decisively.
“But I heard people online say those types of things are lies…”
“I would never lie to you in my life,” Chen Yao said, staring right into Lin Nan’s eyes. He felt a strong affection emanating from her gaze; although he knew she was resisting, her eyes seemed to be inviting him closer.
What a little temptress.
Seeing Lin Nan’s attitude softening, Chen Yao took a deep breath and nervously moved closer to her.
“Could you order me some takeout first? I’m hungry.”
“…”
“Just eat first!” Lin Nan rubbed her flat belly. “Those seafood dishes look like a lot, but there’s hardly any meat! I didn’t even eat dinner, just munched on seafood.”
Chen Yao nearly fantasized about devouring Lin Nan right there and then.
But she was his fiancée, and he wasn’t a predator.
He sat on the edge of the bed, helplessly ordering takeout for Lin Nan on his phone: “We agreed, you eat and then that’s it.”
“Sure!”
Lin Nan was relieved her clever delay bought her a bit of time, while Chen Yao was a bit restless, thinking of the most embarrassing position he could use to make Lin Nan pay for what she was making him wait for.
The unfortunate part was that all his ideas came from watching adult films, and if it came down to the real deal, he had no idea how things would turn out.
He heard some people get so nervous on their first time that it ends in three seconds.
He thought he should use this time to calm himself down a bit; he didn’t want to fall victim to online rumors about finishing way too soon.
After that, he’d be living under Lin Nan’s mocking remarks forever.
The takeout arrived quickly, despite the torrential rain outside; Chen Yao ordered from a place that was only two hundred meters away.
Lin Nan was a bit shocked by the speed of the delivery, but to buy herself some time for mental preparation, she deliberately ate slowly, taking her sweet time.
Chen Yao toyed with his phone nearby, occasionally stealing glances at Lin Nan’s eating habits, unable to resist commenting, “You’ve probably never eaten this elegantly in your life, right?”
“No way! I was super elegant when I first met Auntie!” She rebutted without missing a beat.
Yet, no matter how slow she ate, after half an hour of dragging things out, Lin Nan reluctantly swallowed the last bite of her late-night snack.
She wondered whether it would hurt a lot.
Swallowing hard, she looked cautiously at Chen Yao.
“Was what you said earlier for real?” She innocently confirmed Chen Yao’s words once more.
“Yep, for real.”
Chen Yao sat on the edge of the bed, reaching out to touch Lin Nan’s skin.
Lin Nan trembled and closed her eyes, her body quaking with nervousness as visions of Lilith’s wild nightlife invaded her mind.
Without Chen Yao needing to lift a finger, she inexplicably got herself in the mood, but that only made her feel more embarrassed. She quickly grabbed a pillow to hide her face from him, shielding her expression.
Oh my gosh!!! Why am I doing this super creepy thing with Chen Yao!?
Embarrassment and strange feelings overwhelmed her, turning her face beet red.
A sleepless night ensued.
