466. Sold Out?【12/60】
==============================
Li Na had been busy with her shop lately, skipping classes, and leaving the rental apartment every day around eight or nine in the morning, only to return at five or six in the evening. Talk about a schedule that screams “overworked!”
If it weren’t for the world’s annoying regulations about when you can renovate a place—too early or too late—Li Na would’ve hired workers in three shifts to get the shop done ASAP.
In the midst of this mad rush, Li Na had no time to spare for Lilith, which granted the latter an incredible amount of freedom.
Like, you know, the freedom to date.
One bright and early morning, around seven, Lilith shot up in bed, eyes wide open. She glanced down at Li Na, who had turned into a human blanket, and with a sigh, pushed aside Li Na’s mischievous hands.
And that ridiculous thigh resting on her waist…
This yuri perv!
She turned to glare at Li Na, only to find her eyes already open: “Up so early?”
That fierce and adorable gaze softened like butter in the sun, as Lilith nodded and cheerfully explained, “I have breakfast plans with Lin Nan.”
“When did you get close with her?” Li Na stretched like a lazy cat in bed.
“I’ve always been close with her!” Lilith said, eyes wide in feigned innocence.
She sat up, realizing that without magic, her body functions were pretty average—waking up early was a struggle. Meanwhile, Li Na treated sleep like a leisure activity—if she wanted, she could probably go months without catching any Z’s.
Lilith’s nightgown was a bit ragged, and her lustrous black hair was in complete disarray. Li Na grabbed a brush from the bedside table and casually began to tidy up Lilith’s hair.
“Li Na,” Lilith suddenly said.
“Hmm?”
Turning around, Lilith asked, “Could you, like, magically give me bigger b*obs?”
Lilith had always been a fan of the big bust look, using magic to transform herself into a voluptuous goddess. Now, though, she was as flat as a board, practically a dude.
Li Na, sitting cross-legged on the bed, cocked her head: “Why the sudden change of heart? Didn’t you like being flat?”
“I thought I’d try to get used to it, but nope—still not used to being this flat,” Lilith said, pulling some excuse out of thin air.
After a moment’s thought, she added, “How about just a little bigger? If I suddenly balloon, people will think I’m a freak!”
Turning her head, Li Na didn’t see Lilith’s expression but could sense a strange curiosity in her. While she could use magic to read thoughts, she didn’t particularly feel like doing that.
Lilith seems off.
Li Na nodded: “Fine, let’s aim for a modest upgrade? If anyone asks, you could claim you’re just hitting puberty again?”
“Not that anyone would ask you. You don’t have friends here,” Lilith retorted, glaring back.
Ouch, that one stung.
Lilith shot a look back: “Who says I don’t have friends? Lin Nan is my friend! Chen Yao is my friend! Some classmate even brought me flowers!”
“Flowers don’t mean friends, just means someone’s eyeing your body. Be cautious!” Li Na reminded, tying Lilith’s hair into a ponytail. She set the brush down, then picked up a giant sausage. “Here, a super-sized sausage! Can you handle it?”
Ignoring the teasing, Lilith took the sausage, peeled the wrapper, and munched away while frowning: “When’s my body gonna go back to normal? I’m eating so much, my money from my son is barely enough!”
“Your magic skills are a joke; if it were me, the side effects wouldn’t linger this long,” Lilith grumbled, wandering over to the closet. She intended to grab her usual casual wear but hesitated, her eyes landing on a strappy dress instead.
“After all, I kinda winged it back then,” Li Na chimed in, peeking over at the dress in Lilith’s hands, nodding eagerly, “That one’s nice! Really!”
It was a dress she’d bought for Lilith, but her friend was never a fan of dresses, so it hadn’t been worn until now.
Moments later, Lilith took the dress off the rack and slung it over her arm.
It was a sleeveless black dress that showed off all the skin above her collarbone and left most of her thighs on display. The pure black fabric contrasted beautifully with her fair skin—looking good, right?
Wearing such revealing outfits in her conservative world was, like, a total rebellion! Even though Lilith was warming up to it, it still felt daunting.
Men in this country seemed to prefer girls who dressed a bit more skimpily.
As Lilith pondered this, Li Na leaned in again: “Are you seriously going to wear that? You haven’t touched it all month!”
“Hmm, I’ll give it a shot,” Lilith replied, her expression serious as she took the dress from its hanger and walked briskly into the bathroom.
Something felt off about Lilith today.
Why did she seem so happy? Last time she felt this way, it was while messing with Lin Nan or when relishing her misfortunes… but today… did she have a good dream or something?
Watching her retreat into the bathroom, Li Na frowned slightly but didn’t dwell on it. She stripped out of her nightgown and put on her usual outfit in no time.
A moment later, Lilith emerged from the bathroom in the dress.
“So pretty~!” Li Na’s eyes lit up, as she sprang forward, balancing on her toes, and enveloped Lilith in an embrace. “Dressing up like this means you’re going on a date with me, right?!”
Lilith glanced down at the restless hand trying to creep on her body and shot Li Na a glare: “No! You better hurry up and get back to renovating the shop. I’m off to eat with Lin Nan!”
She shrugged off Li Na’s hand, feeling uneasy after that encounter. Despite living together for half a year, she still couldn’t get used to it.
Why does this world have yuri? I only like men, for crying out loud!
Just as she opened the door, she noticed Li Na trailing closely behind, looking confused: “Are you skipping the renovations today?”
“Just giving them the day off!”
“???” Lilith stared at her incredulously, “You’re that nice?”
“I checked the forecast; it’s gonna rain heavily, so I figured I’d give them a break and take a day off myself,” Li Na grinned, pulling Lilith in close, her cheeks flushed with excitement. “Let’s go on a date today!”
Oh my, Lilith smells amazing! All that teasing must have worked its magic.
Lin Nan couldn’t hold a candle to the real Lilith!
Just a moment ago, with a cheerful demeanor, Lilith now wore a dark expression as she was dragged out the front door.
Am I being sold out by Lin Nan?
She didn’t even know if she should be mad, since Lin Nan selling her out didn’t exactly seem like a problem.
