“Well, glad to hear that,” Frieda said, inspecting her eyes and gently touching her forehead. “But it’ll still take some time for all that food to digest. You should be careful and get more rest.”

Xu Xiaofeng puzzledly patted her little belly. Upon closer inspection, she definitely didn’t feel anything strange in there.
Edward noticed her confusion and stepped forward. “Let me see your hand.”
Xu Xiaofeng stretched out her hand, resting it in his palm.

Edward withdrew his hand, looking perplexed. “It’s really gone… that quickly?”
“Maybe… my stomach is just very sturdy?”
Clears throat “Ha ha, true! You make a good point.”
Frieda covered her mouth with a hand, trying to hide her giggles.

Xu Xiaofeng shyly rubbed her nose, shifting the subject. “Uncle and Aunt, the things you gave me seem pretty valuable. Can I ask how many gold coins it’s worth? I still have some gold coins left.”
“It’s nothing to mention; just glad you’re okay,” Edward waved his hand dismissively.
“Yeah, it’s just stuff. Your wellbeing is more important than anything else.”
