After Xu Xiaofeng left, Elia stared at the nearly empty plate on the table and turned to her maid, Amelia, asking, “Are these things really that delicious?”
Amelia could have confidently said it was just okay, but now she hesitated a bit.
“Uh… I guess it’s not bad?”
Anyone who saw Xu Xiaofeng’s enthusiastic munching would find it hard to say that the food was bad.
The two exchanged glances in silence.
“Your Highness, what do you think of her?”
That was the real purpose of this tea party, and Amelia tactfully reminded her mistress.
“This child… hard to say.”
Elia shook her head helplessly. Though she felt helpless, she still wore a faint smile.
“This child is quite cautious. I asked her so many times, yet she just gave perfunctory answers, and I couldn’t extract any useful information at all.”

Elia sat down and took a sip of her tea.
“While this child’s demeanor seems quite casual and childish, it actually hints at maturity. She never behaved too improperly, staying within what a child could accept. This shows her upbringing is excellent, even among nobility.”
“A child from such a noble family would be tempted by mere snacks?”
Amelia pondered and nodded in agreement, “Indeed, what Your Highness says is true.”
It was at this moment that she realized she had been misled by the child’s appearance.

She was referring to someone who was massively buying Sunfruits at five times the normal price in the outer city.

Not to mention the huge disturbances it caused in the outer city. Fortunately, the knight orders handled things swiftly, sending in more stabilizers and even patrolling outside the city, preventing total chaos.
However, when they investigated, they found no leads at all, only to get the name “Miss Wind” from the Qingfeng Chamber of Commerce.
Now it seemed they had found the culprit!
But whether they found it or not didn’t matter much. After all, this was normal business conduct, and as long as it didn’t lead to any negative consequences, it was no big deal.
Elia toyed with her teacup and asked, “Do you know where Little Wind’s family is?”
“I found out. It’s in the eastern outer city. But it’s been vacant for some time, and now only she lives there.”
“Living alone? How did she manage to rent a place at such a young age?”
“Someone guaranteed for her. The guarantor is Steven.”
“Steven?” Elia frowned, “Which Steven?”
“The Silent Tracker—Steven Mortley.”
“Isn’t he from the Dark Moon Knight Order?”
There are three knight orders in the Jade Emperor Kingdom: the Royal Knight Order, the Radiant Knight Order, and the Dark Moon Knight Order.
The Royal Knight Order mostly operates in the imperial city, consisting of very few elite members responsible for the absolute security of the royal family.
The Radiant Knight Order has numerous members, each relatively mediocre in strength, primarily dealing with external threats and slaying monsters, operating outside of Emerald City.
The Dark Moon Knight Order, on the other hand, falls somewhere in between, focusing on internal matters, commonly referred to as the shadowy side, with activities spread across every city.
As for Steven Mortley, even within the Dark Moon Knight Order, he was a well-known figure, excelling in tracking and assassination. His title as Silent Tracker was a testament to his skills.
He possessed a rare space attribute talent, allowing him to move without a sound.
But because of this very talent, he fell short against Xu Xiaofeng.
If he hadn’t relied on his space abilities subconsciously while following her, Xu Xiaofeng wouldn’t have noticed anyone on her tail.
He was pretty frustrated about it. He wracked his brain trying to figure out how he got exposed.
Not only was he exposed, but he was also directly named, losing face completely.

Elia simply smiled and shook her head, “What’s so troublesome about it? Can my situation get any worse? My father’s health is deteriorating, my elder brother holds all the power, and here I am merely overseeing the economic department, which is more for looks than anything else. What hope do I have?”
“But if another person comes in to stir the pot, wouldn’t it be more interesting?”
“I understand, I’ll follow Your Highness’s arrangements.”
“What arrangements can I make? We can just have afternoon tea with Little Wind tomorrow.”
This little sister might just be a real sister, Elia mused.
Mainly because she genuinely had no clue how many siblings she actually had.
The emperor was quite the dashing rogue in his youth, leaving who knows how many romantic entanglements behind. Even if a brother happened to pop up tomorrow, she wouldn’t be overly surprised.
And if she wanted to achieve great things, her only rival would always be her elder brother, Isaac; the rest of her siblings were at least superficially just dead weight.
Likewise, Isaac had always treated her as a foe, keeping a wary eye on her.
This led to her, despite her talents, being relegated to managing economic matters that couldn’t change the situation, with only a handful of uncontrollable adventurers thrown in.
