Chapter 191: In the Dream Realm
The BOSS is indeed dead, not a single shard left behind, and there’s no next phase or new BOSS to deal with.
When everyone realized this, the cheers erupted in full force.
Online or offline, in the dungeon or out of it, commentators and viewers alike couldn’t contain their excitement, bubbling over with genuine joy.
Yuliya sat on the ground, gasping for breath. Her recent attack had drained her entire mana pool and even knocked her health down a peg.
Watching the crowd celebrate, she couldn’t help but smile.
Indeed, this was much better.
Suddenly, a group rushed towards her, seemingly intent on dragging her into their frenzy.
She quickly waved her hands, signaling, “No thank you! You all enjoy yourselves; I’m not used to this scene.”
But they didn’t seem keen on letting her off the hook; they wanted to get into some kind of trouble.
Thinking on her feet, Yuliya yelled, “The treasure chest from the BOSS is over there! I don’t need it; it’s all yours — first come, first served!”
With that shout, the others finally remembered they had overlooked this crucial detail.
Open the chest! This was the final treasure dropped by the world BOSS!
Taking advantage of the chaos, Yuliya made her escape.
Honestly, she didn’t care too much about the chest; the loot wouldn’t even leave the dungeon.
Now that the final BOSS in the event dungeon was down, she could swag around with any gear she picked up.
After a moment of thought, she decided to check out the underground area of the Royal City.
Such an important location must hold some secrets; even if other players had already scoured it, she had to take another look.
A princess’s vision isn’t like an ordinary person’s; she could see a lot more.
This wasn’t about perspective but about her Golden Eyes — don’t get it twisted!
After casually asking a couple of players, she quickly found the entrance and entered the dungeon.
Looking at the desolate space, as barren as if locusts had swept through — even the stones seemed to have been pried away — Yuliya couldn’t help but rub her forehead.
She had expected players to be dramatic, but she never imagined they would go this far.
It was utterly clean, not a single hair left behind!
But this was good; her view was unobstructed, and she didn’t even have to tiptoe to look around.
While she was asking for directions, she inquired about what the players experienced in the dungeon.
Aside from clearing mobs, scavenging everything that wasn’t nailed down, and wrecking the grand barrier along with the confusing setup inside, nothing unexpected happened.
They just cleared everything, successfully wrecking the Nightmare Domain, and then, as everyone knew, things spiraled from there.
After surveying the area, Yuliya pulled out a pit — er, no, a key from her backpack.
The Key to the Dream Portal.
Since the final BOSS was the Nightmare God, this key had to be somehow linked to it.
Now that the BOSS was defeated and there was nothing special on the surface, it had to be related to this place.
Yet, nothing was happening.
Was there some sort of activation mechanism?
Suddenly, Yuliya recalled that before she got the key, she… had a dream.
Hmm…
Well, since she was free, why not give it a shot?
She hugged the key close and promptly fell asleep.
Before long, she was actually out cold.
She was a little tired after all.
After playing with the BOSS for so long, any regular person would have already thrown in the towel.
This scene left the viewers in the live room dumbfounded.
What’s happening? The BOSS is beaten, and you’re still fishing?
Girl, the pond is empty — seriously, put that rod down!
But the next moment, they noticed the Wind God seemed to be glowing.
Uh, wait, no — it was the key in her arms that was glowing.
Holy moly! Can fish come out of nowhere too?
Then… the screen went black.
Huh? Did the Wind God steal my screen away?
But the chat was still active, and the commentators were voicing their confusion.
In an instant, the stream switched to another perspective, and everything appeared normal.
When they tried to switch back to the Wind God’s view, a message popped up: This perspective is currently unavailable due to special reasons; please switch to another perspective.
No way!
The chat erupted in despair.
“Without the Wind God, I’m gonna d*e!”
“Please, let me see! I’ll do anything!”
“Just sh**t out some holy light; why the abrupt cut?! I admit I’m not a saint, alright?”
But it was all in vain.
They had to settle for ranting at the officials. After a wave of complaints, they went back to whatever they were doing.
Meanwhile, Yuliya suddenly woke up with wide eyes.
What greeted her was a scene as dreamlike as could be.
Brilliant colors melded together without confusion, forming shapes of various animals.
The clouds above looked like cotton candy, and the sun resembled a flower; everything seemed to immerse her in a fairy tale world.
As Yuliya took all this in, a gentle voice chimed in, “Welcome to the most authentic dream, Yuliya.”
Turning towards the voice, she saw a tiny, glittering sprite floating in mid-air, with short limbs and a big head, its cloak resembling wings behind it.
Yuliya’s eyes lit up, instinctively reaching out her hand, but then quickly pulling back, her gaze becoming wary. “Do you know me?”
“I might know you, or perhaps I don’t know you at all. This is a dream; I know your name.”
“A dream… so I used the key to the Dream Portal to come here?”
“Yes.”
“And there’s no danger here?”
“None.”
Great! Super great!
In an instant, Yuliya’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
“So… can I… pet you?”
“Why?”
“Because you’re adorable! So, so adorable!”
“But my form can change at any moment. For example….”
In the blink of an eye, the sprite expanded, its limbs and body proportion adjusting, and it became a replica of Yuliya.
“Uh… no, no! You have to change back!”
This plot twist of turning into her form gave Yuliya some serious psychological scars; she almost lost it and lashed out.
“Alright.” The sprite reverted to its original state and floated closer. “You can pet me now.”
“Thank you!”
Then, Yuliya scooped up the little sprite and began to joyfully pet it.
She was always the one being pampered, and now, finally, it was her turn to pamper someone else.
No wonder Elia and Little Moon loved this — it really is addictive!
After a hearty petting session, Yuliya felt satisfied and released the little sprite.
“So what is this place for?”
“Before discussing that, please allow me to introduce myself.”
The little sprite pulled back a little, twirled around, and slowly said, “I am Ayelus, the God of Dreams and Fantasies.”
Before the words even finished, Yuliya whipped out her sword and sliced its form into tiny pieces.
“Ugh, figures…”
A voice echoed from behind, and Yuliya immediately dodged, maintaining a defensive stance.
“Calm down; not all gods harbor malice towards humans. For instance, the Goddess of Life whom you worship is just like that.”
