Chapter 230: A Little Help
The next day, in the dead of night, most players had logged off to catch some Z’s.
In a secluded corner, a house still glowed faintly.
Inside, four players were huddled together like suspicious cats.
They were Fiery Conflict Across the Sky, Can’t Sleep, WZC, and Little Moon.
“Little Moon, why do you think Little Sister summoned us over here all sneaky-like? What’s the deal?”
Normally, at this hour, they’d be snoozing away, but with the sudden call from Little Sister? Sleep was a thing of the past; they had to check it out!
“I’m not sure. It’s probably something super important. She said to keep it under wraps, so not many should know. She should be here soon, we’ll find out then.”
The four fell into a silence, waiting like kids before Christmas.
Before long, the door creaked open.
They turned their heads in unison, and lo and behold, their beloved Little Loli bounced in.
“Everyone’s here! I’m not late, am I?”
The trio perked up, responding in unison, “No, no!”
Little Moon fought hard to suppress the grin threatening to break out on her face and quietly slid to the side.
You see, these three were big shots in the player community. In the game, they strutted around like kings, heads held high. But in front of Little Loli? They were giddy fools, grinning like idiots.
Little Moon understood, though. After the last auction, their demeanor had gone from confident to downright goofy. She heard about what happened at the auction through Yuliya, and let’s just say, any player who experienced it came out looking like a jelly-legged fool.
Sure, that NPC was weird, but hey, they were the biggest beneficiaries; if she was quirky, so what? They might as well join in the fun!
Yuliya gave a casual greeting, then got down to business.
“Actually, I called you here because I need your help with something really important!”
The trio’s eyebrows shot up in surprise, then swiftly turned to excitement.
Help? Was she handing out a quest?
Now, that was awesome! It was totally worth hanging out with Little Sister!
Fiery Conflict Across the Sky jumped in first, declaring his loyalty, “Don’t worry, Little Sister! Whatever it is, I’ll charge through fire and brimstone! Just say the word, and I’ll lead the charge with my brothers!”
Can’t Sleep chimed in immediately, “Right? It’s not even a question! Just tell us what to do—helping Little Sister is our duty and privilege!”
WZC sighed, “You guys took all my lines. What am I supposed to say?”
He opted to repeat them, “Yep, it’s our duty, no doubt about that!”
Yuliya was so touched she nearly shed a tear.
“Thanks, Big Brothers! It’s actually just a small favor, nothing so dramatic. I just need you to intercept some people.”
““Easy peasy!””
As they enthusiastically agreed, a quest panel popped up in front of each of them.

Quest Rank: Legendary
Quest Background: The old Emperor Abis of the Jade Emperor Kingdom is near his end. The eldest prince Isaac and princess Elia are embroiled in a succession dispute.
Quest Requirement: You can choose to help princess Elia by intercepting a small squad from the Radiant Knight Order on their way to Emerald City, while minimizing NPC fatalities.
Quest Reward: None
Wait…since it’s our duty, and it’s just a small thing, it makes sense there’s no reward, right?

“…”
““WHAT?!?!””
The trio shouted like they’d been struck by lightning, and after a moment of stunned silence, Little Loli was stifling laughter on the side while Little Moon, as the outsider, felt very unamused.
She shot Yuliya a look.
Yuliya nodded and tossed her a quest too. More the merrier!
Then…
“WHAT?!”
Little Moon’s exclamation snapped the other three back to reality.
They exchanged glances, then turned back to Little Moon.
She nodded in agreement.
So the four of them opened the nearby chat box mode.
The other three didn’t know Yuliya could see the chat, but Little Moon played dumb.
“Bro, and sister! What the heck is this? I’m totally baffled!”
“Don’t rush me, let me first panic! A succession struggle? Just like that, we’re helping?”
“I can’t even! Legendary level? Legendary quest?!”
You can’t blame them for being so excited they lost control.
This was a legendary quest!
Most quests players did were just normal ranks, and those were way better than mindless monster grinding. Occasionally, they might stumble upon an excellent-ranked quest.
As for rare rank? That was super rare—only once in a blue moon would you hear of one popping up on the forums, and the rewards were enough to make you drool.
And epic rank? No player in all servers had even laid eyes on one yet!
And now, here they had a legendary quest dropped in their laps.
As soon as they spotted the word “legendary,” their fingers had already clicked “accept” without thinking!
Legendary-level? They’d charge through fire and brimstone if they had to!
Then… “Reward: None?”
What’s that supposed to mean?
“Reward: None? Are you serious? No reward at all?”
“That can’t be right.”
“If there’s really no reward, what’s the point of a legendary quest? Are they trying to say completing it gives you an achievement?”
Little Moon paused, casting a sly glance at Little Loli.
She noticed the corners of her mouth and eyes were twitching with laughter, practically a clown face.
Oh, you keep up with the shenanigans!
As much as it was hilarious, she stifled a giggle!
Suddenly, all three turned their eyes to Little Moon.
“Hey, Little Moon, you and Little Sister are tight. Why not talk to her? Try to negotiate?”
“Yeah! Now that we’ve accepted the quest, rewards would benefit everyone!”
Little Moon was just about to reply when a private message pinged in.
She glanced—it was from Little Yuliya.
“All you gotta say is it’s tough, and negotiate with them for a reward. Trust me, it’s nice and hefty.”
Little Moon felt a surge of respect.
Wow! Pure genius!
Even if you’re only one meter tall, in my eyes, you’re a giant!
Little Moon feigned a troubled expression. “It’s gonna be tough… Honestly, even taking this quest is hard. Not really feeling up to it.”
“Huh? Sis, that’s not right! With us, how could it be tough?”
“Exactly! Good brothers like us are here! You can’t possibly be left in a bind!”
“Alright, I’ll give it a shot.”
Little Moon stepped up to have a quiet chat with Yuliya, bargaining away.
At face value, it looked like negotiations, but really, it was a mutual hype-up session.
After a bit of back-and-forth, Yuliya finally nodded, “You’re right; I almost forgot.”
Of course, she forgot! There was no way she was purposely withholding rewards!
