## Chapter 247: About That Time I Cheated
Edward reacted quickly, shouting, “Kiddo! Pack it up!”
“Eh? I’m packing!”
The golden dragon illusion vanished, yet the imperial city remained eerily silent.
Yuliya blinked her big, innocent eyes, looking as if just squeezing them would produce two drops of tears.
Elia and Isaac wore equally blank expressions.
First, they glanced at Yuliya, then turned their attention back to Edward.
Edward: …
He was just as confused!
After a long moment of silence among the four.
Finally, Edward clapped his hands and gave Yuliya a thumbs up. “Awesome! You nailed that act, full marks from me!”
What’s this? Not familiar? Not using it well?
This is almost worthy of my level!
“Pffft!” Elia could no longer hold back and burst out laughing. “Little Yuliya, playing dumb like that is not okay! Do you really need to hide your skills in front of us?”
Isaac sighed heavily, rendered speechless.
But this only made Yuliya feel more awkward.
Why does everyone think I’m just showing off?
I’m not!
Who, me? A show-off?
But trying to explain this was a headache.
About how “they said I was cheating, but I have so many skills I don’t even know which one they’re talking about, so I can’t argue effectively” kind of situation.
So she decided to play it cool.
Yuliya scratched her cheek. “I really didn’t know, honestly. I just tried it a little, and I wasn’t this strong before…”
Edward sighed in resignation. “Let’s just say it’s like this. This skill is a legacy I got during my young adventuring days, found in some ruins. I also took on the mission to find a new successor for it. So now, I’m passing it on to you, Yuliya.”
“It can harness a special power, the higher your status and notoriety, the stronger the power you can wield. Now that you’ve officially gotten the princess title, you’ll naturally be stronger than before.”
“But to say you didn’t practice at all, I can’t believe that. Shaping this kind of power isn’t something that just happens easily.”
Yuliya: “…”
If you say it like that, then I get it!
I’ll say it’s got nothing to do with me; I really haven’t trained that much. I’m about to forget this skill!
It’s totally just an automatic boost!
If one princess title doesn’t cut it, how about throwing in ‘Golden Princess’?

But she couldn’t say that, so she just nodded awkwardly. “Well, maybe I trained a little… just a little bit.”
Practicing those few punches while having the skill counts as practicing, right?
The three had completely grasped the situation; at least they believed they did.
They were even more amazed by Yuliya’s talent, convinced they found a real gem.
The meal wrapped up officially, and everyone had their own matters to attend to.
With the new emperor ascending, everyone was busy.
As the newly titled princess, Yuliya naturally had to share some of the work within her abilities.
She received a report that several adventurers and the leaders of the Radiant Knight Order had arrived just outside the imperial city.
Adventurers, or players, had lowly status, typically lacking the qualifications to enter the imperial city, so Yuliya was sent to handle them.
She was going to award them on behalf of the busy Elia.
Yuliya took two temporarily assigned maids with her to the eastern gate of the imperial city, where players and knights were chatting.
After the earlier skirmish, the two sides had gotten to know each other a bit.
As seasoned veterans, Bazel and the others didn’t possess the stubborn biases common among nobles; they could easily appreciate skilled and talented warriors.
This group of adventurers, although numerous and armed with ridiculous secret weapons, showcased collaboration and strength that genuinely impressed Bazel, almost flipping his previous views on adventurers upside down.
Adventurers are just wild and brutish, right?
Not necessarily.
Especially that girl—she seemed calm and elegant, almost like a refined lady, but when it came to battle, she was fierce and decisive.
Her fighting style was something only a few could pull off.
Rumor had it she had a master; he was quite curious about just what kind of prodigy she might be.
“Good afternoon!”
A bright voice suddenly chimed in, catching everyone off guard and causing a few to shudder slightly.
Yuliya smirked mischievously. “You all look like you’re enjoying quite a chat; I want to hear what you’ve been up to!”
She was eager to know just how her nuclear bomb had fared, but asking directly felt inappropriate; no need to rub salt in the wound.
But the Fiery Conflict crew reacted quickly. “We greet His Highness the Princess!”
They said this while preparing to kneel, only to be interrupted by Yuliya.
“No need for that! I really don’t mind; all those ceremonies are just a hassle.”
The Fiery Conflict squad breathed a sigh of relief; modern folks indeed weren’t accustomed to that kind of formality. “Thank you, Your Highness.”
However, the knights still knelt. “I, the lowly one, greet His Highness the Princess of Radiant Sun.”
To them, it was an unbreakable rule.
(A lot of people insisted on just calling her ‘Golden Princess,’ but that won’t do—there are two identities to keep track of, so let’s go with my initial thought.)
“Stand up, stand up! You can be more casual around me.”
““Yes! Your Highness!””
“Are you still discussing what you were before?”
They exchanged glances and shook their heads. “No, we wouldn’t want to waste Your Highness’s time.”
A bit of a pity…
Yuliya let out a sigh internally.
“Well then.” Yuliya straightened up, taking a few steps back.
This way, she wouldn’t have to look up as much; a quick glance would meet others at eye level.
“I… the princess, have mainly come for two things: first, regarding the adventurers’ rewards, and second, to escort a few from the Radiant Knight Order to meet Isaac, my big brother.”
Bazel looked puzzled. “Your Highness, we can go see Prince Isaac directly without you accompanying us.”
“Trust me, we have arrangements.”
“Understood!”
The knights stepped aside, and Yuliya turned to face the players.
“First, hand me the commission documents and explain the mission situation.”
“Of course!”
Yuliya received four commission documents from the Fiery Conflict crew, who then detailed the situation.
“All knights survived, not a single fatality? And all adventurers survived as well, no deaths?”
It sounded like both sides had teamed up for a performance…
But Yuliya knew that the players must’ve suffered significant losses; dying once meant losing a level, after all.
But if you say no one died, then fine; no one died.
“Very good, you all perfectly completed the mission.”
Then she glanced at the knight squad and leaned in, whispering, “So, um… how was that box of eggs?”
The Fiery Conflict crew froze—what kind of gossiping princess is this?
Before they could respond, WZC jumped in. “Awesome! Totally great! Your Highness, do you have any more?”
Yuliya’s eyes twinkled. “Oh? It was that good? Too bad there’s none to give.”
Of course, there was some, but she wasn’t about to let them hoard it all.
