Chapter 300: Like Teleportation?
On Yuliya’s side, the guards were slicing through the enemies like cutting through a soft cucumber.
The few Gold Level fighters had already bolted the moment the guards shouted.
They were noble Gold Level strong individuals, just hanging around those Emerald Level fighters to scrape by for a meal.
There was no way they were about to march to their doom now.
With their departure, the remaining forces were nothing but a bunch of rabble.
These rabble were even squabbling among themselves.
No one could get close to the defense line, and the occasional long-range attacks were all over the place, like a drunk guy trying to sh**t darts.
Yuliya was still tirelessly repairing the Teleportation Array.
Suddenly, she frowned.
Teleportation nearby?
She quickly locked onto the spatial fluctuation’s location.
Activating her Golden Eyes for a closer look, she discovered it was a Teleportation Pearl.
And the holder of this Teleportation Pearl was none other than the previous Military Strategist!
Yuliya’s eyebrows raised.
What’s going on? He’s back for more?
In the next moment, the Teleportation Pearl glowed, and a Teleportation Array unfolded.
“Cackles! Cackles! You fools! You’re all idiots! Even those at Legendary Level are idiots! Now that I’m back, who can stop me?”
As the voice boomed, the skinny, shadowy figure of the Military Strategist slowly materialized.
He immediately spotted Yuliya and her shocked expression.
This made him even more delighted.
“After playing with this bunch of idiots for so long, it’s finally time to end this! The treasure over there will belong to me alone!”
Yuliya was indeed shocked.
But what shocked her was…
Holy cow! There’s still this kind of teleportation method?
What is this, the caveman version?
This teleportation was just like the crummy XP system where everything loads at a snail’s pace but looks the same every time.
Three seconds passed, and he was still a blurry figure, with the magic circle not fully deployed.
But this teleportation method had its advantages—it’s so simple that anyone can use it. Just two Teleportation Pearls and you’re good to go.
However, there was a fatal flaw.
Yuliya activated her Golden Eyes, curiously watching the Teleportation Array.
She was completely unruffled.
With twelve Life Stones in hand, she could just stand there and let him hit her until Edward comes back.
And let’s not forget, she could whip out some big surprises from her little bamboo basket to give this so-called “unstoppable” Military Strategist a run for his money.
But now, it seemed none of that would be necessary.
Watching the Military Strategist’s figure slowly solidify, his smile grew more arrogant.
Yuliya thought for a moment, snapped a picture.
Then, she waved her hand.
As she did, the magic circle of the Teleportation Pearl began to shift.
Teleporting in front of me with this low-end version?
You’ve gotta be kidding me; you’re looking down on me, the Golden Princess!
The Military Strategist immediately sensed something was off with his body, his smile freezing on his face.
“Wait! What did you do?!”
“Hiss~ It hurts! What’s happening?!”
With a pop, the teleportation ended, and the magical circle and white light all vanished.
What was left behind was just a useless Teleportation Pearl and a skinny guy.
Compared to the Military Strategist from the start, he was even skinnier now.
Because all his limbs had vanished, leaving just his body and head.
No bl**d, just a blank, foggy area where his limbs used to be.
So, Yuliya snapped another picture.
Not that she did much; she just tweaked his Teleportation Array. His limbs probably got left behind in some unknown alternate dimension.
Yuliya smiled and waved at him: “Be a good boy now; you still have a head. Be careful, or that might disappear too.”
“Ew!”
The Military Strategist, being a Mage, now with no limbs, could do nothing but glare at her menacingly and hiss, like a snake that lost all its teeth.
And this highlighted the limitations of traditional Mages.
If only he had invested in some strength, a headbutt with his Emerald Level power would have been unstoppable.
But sadly, his power was nowhere near Yuliya’s level, and his speed wasn’t great either; a desperate flail would only flip him over.
“Keep an eye on him, don’t let him escape.”
“Yes, Your Highness!”
Yuliya dealt with the little hiccup and continued to concentrate on the Teleportation Array.
Before long, the Teleportation Array was fully repaired.
And just then, Edward returned, dragging a chubby pig behind him.
Seeing the creature he was holding, the last remaining resistant rabble lost all will to fight; some ran, while others just slumped to the ground.
Edward glanced at the limbless Military Strategist, who was sprawled on the ground like a dead dog, gave him a kick to knock him out cold, and then tossed the dead pig aside.
“Keep an eye on those two.”
With a command, Edward walked over to Yuliya.
“How’s it going?”
“Fixed up, we can leave anytime. But let’s handle this little mess here first.”
After instructing the guards to properly hide the Teleportation Array again, Yuliya approached the General and kicked him a couple of times.
“Time to wake up, you silly pig.”
“Uh? Ah… oh.” The General muttered groggily as he turned over, only to realize his body felt all kinds of wrong—completely drained of strength.
He jolted awake and recalled he was captured.
Immediately, he started wailing and begging for mercy.
“Please, my lord! Spare me! I was bewitched! Give me another chance, I promise to turn over a new leaf!”
“Alright, alright, stop!” Yuliya kicked him, sending him rolling a couple of times, “I have some questions for you. Answer well, and I might consider letting you go.”
“Yes! Goddess, please ask! I’ll answer truthfully!”
Goddess? Isn’t that an insult?! Most of those so-called gods are my enemies!
If you can’t call me properly, don’t bother calling at all!
Yuliya booted him again, sending him rolling ten more times.
Though his power was sealed, his health bar was still thick enough to take a beating.
“What’s with those people?”
Yuliya pointed at the rabble nearby, many of whom were still around, utterly incapable of fighting back, just standing there dumbfounded.
“They’re probably those who were cursed. They can’t run far, or they’ll drop dead.”
“…”
Upon hearing this, Yuliya’s expression darkened.
Seeing her mood sour, the General quickly explained, “It wasn’t me! It was that Military Strategist who did it!”
Who cursed them didn’t matter.
Yuliya just sighed.
“What’s this business about a Teleportation Array and treasures?”
The General blinked, then quickly shook his head, “What? What treasures? I have no idea.”
“I heard all of you! Looks like my kicking wasn’t hard enough.”
Edward nodded, then stamped his foot right on the General’s head.
In the next moment, the scene erupted with a pig-like wail.
“I’ll tell you! I’ll tell you! Spare me!”
